Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Bled Island – Slovenia

Bled Island is a tiny tear-shaped isle in the middle of Lake Bled in the northwestern corner of Slovenia. It is the only naturally-occurring island in Slovenia. Most famous one is the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary, a Baroque church containing fresco fragments from the 15th century. Source: Travel Slovenia

    • I think that would be a great church to attend. The getting there is the fun part. 🙂

    • Me too. I want to go because I love boats. Pawkisses to you, Little Binky. Happy Wednesday. 🙂

  1. It’s 3am and I’ve just finished reading up on Slovenia. I had no idea where it was or that Melania Trump is from there or really anything at all about it but I think I would put it on my list of places to visit especially if there is a wedding. I want to see the groom carry his soon-to-be bride up those 99 steps to the church to get married! Interesting place. Thanks for sharing. Love you. Xoxo

    • Yes it’s a magical place with a rich history. Sorry I kept you up so late. Love you, Karen. 🙂

  2. Memories of Eric and Flynn – I started this blog to show my holiday photos but haven't added to it for so long, but you can see my other holiday photos at https://allatseawithme.blogspot.com My main blog is my cat blog at https://twodevoncats.blogspot.com

I would love to visit that pretty little island and see the church.

  3. Beautiful, and a great little geography lesson for the day.

    • It would indeed. The world need beautiful, peaceful and isolated right now. 🙂

  4. Sandee,

I figured since I shared a photo-art creation that I’d link up today. I might try to incorporate more of this sort of thing into my Monday posts while I’m on hiatus. It’s a great way to stay in the loop of blogging without doing a whole of extras. We’ll see. Thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful Wednesday, dearie!

    • You’re always welcome to link up on any meme I’m doing. Just saying. You have a wonderful Wednesday too, Cathy. 🙂

  5. Thank you for the lovely photos of Slovenia…when I was working at NC State U, we had several students from Slovenia
This photo is proof of the beauty they described when speaking of their homeland
    Hugs cecilia

  6. I had to look up Slovenia, to figure out exactly where the country is!

  7. Deborah – South San Francisco, CA – I am a Wise Woman who has been on a spiritual journey for many years. My wisdom was not gained through a higher education but through the University Of Life and all the insight, knowledge gained through the pain of trials and tribulations on the path of weeping to healing. Though I have come a long way, I am not done yet! I still have much wisdom to gain, more growth through pain, and the beauty of spirit that come by continual shedding of the old to receive the new! Sweet Blessings!
    Deborah

This is so gorgeous Sandee! Thank you for taking us there! Have a great Wednesday! Hugs! 🙂 <3

    • I try to link to information about the photographs. You have a great Wednesday too, my friend. 🙂

  8. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team – UK – Well, now there's a question! Furstly and most importantly I'm a cat if mew hadn't already guessed. I got my Wing Commander status in September 2018 but that hasn't slowed me up at all! I tweet, Instacat, FB, Tumble & Pin too and now there's Basil TV on YouTube. All in all I'm a thoroughly Modern Cat; a cat of the 21st century, mew might say. My human & Purrsonal Assistant aka P.A. is Cathrine Garnell, and she writes books including a tale about my fictional alter ego, Basil the Bionic Cat. [See Books Page] I live in a multi-cat household, and mew can meet the rest of The B Team here most days of the week, as they all like a turn on the blog. I like mice, but then don't we all? I also like fresh tuna, chicken and prawns. I LOVE catnip, not in any excess I might add before mew jump to any wild conclusions. Thanks so much for dropping by, as we The B Team, love making new furriends, so do leave us a comment and say hi.

  10. foguth – Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes.
