It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

I’m thankful that today is Thanksgiving here in America. Although I’m thankful for each day that’s given today is traditionally a day with family. I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful for all the blessings hubby and I have. We worked hard to make sure our retirement would be comfortable in our golden years. We also know that health issues could derail all that hard work. We are thankful that we are in good health and hope that continues as we age.

So to all those that celebrate Thanksgiving, I wish you a special day filled with many blessings.

AMAZING MATILDA , Stevens's second children's book, self-published in 2012, won a 2013 Purple Dragonfly Book Award (Honorable Mention for Excellence in Children's Literature - Ages 6 and older category) and placed #9 on The 2013 Gittle List TOP 10for Self-published Children’s Picture Books. Stevens has written articles for ECHOES, The Northern Maine Journal of Rural Culture based in Caribou, Maine. This short story is a prequel to Stevens's debut novel, DOG BONE SOUP, A Boomer’s Journey released in January of 2015.
