“The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time.” Douglas Wood

“The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but the thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings.” Henry Ward Beecher

All so true. I just looked out the window and saw some blue between white clouds in the otherwise rainy sky, and I am thankful for that right now.

  4. Cecilia Upchurch says:

Mr. Emerson’s quote was my favorite.
Last night we went to bed with a Level 4 Severe storm(Tstorms, hail, tornadoes) alert for today (there are 5 levels). I was quite thankful to hear we are downgraded to a level 3. We have taken in all things from the outside that might be given wings by the wind. The birds aren’t thankful for that.
    Hugs Cecilia

      Sandee says:

I hear you. The birds like there things right where they want them. I’m glad you’ve been down graded to level 3. Stay safe. 🙂

5 years ago today we bought the old farmhouse, and it turned out to be perfect! We turned it into a real farm a year later when we got our first chickens. It’s the best thing we ever did. It was almost the most stressful thing we ever did (selling our old house), but it definitely turned out to be worth it! I am so thankful we decided to do it, especially since we almost didn’t several times along the way.

    • Sandee – California – Home of Awww Mondays, Happy Tuesday, and Wordless Wednesday.
      Sandee says:

What a wonderful thankful. I know you love your farm. I love Luke. Give him a smooch from me. 🙂
