Thankful Thursday

I’ve decided to participate in Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He’s got some precious kitties that I enjoy visiting and seeing what they are up to. I also enjoy their peeps.

We don’t have any four legged babies anymore, but I sure enjoy visiting all the folks that do have four legged family members. Some I’ve visited for a long time and some I started visiting just recently.

This week I’m thankful that I switched from Blogger to WordPress. I cannot tell you how much better my blogging experience is.

I’m also thankful for all my blogging buddies, and especially those that have four legged family members. I’ve met many kitties in my travels and along with those kitties I’ve got to meet some really great blogging buddies too.

What are you thankful for this week?

  1. There’s not enough time to list all I’m grateful for…but I’ll start with saying I’m grateful for my kids. That’s always the first thing that comes to mind. And in line with your answer, I’m grateful for our new-to-us cat. She’s a gem. 🙂

I’m glad the move to WP has been successful & worth it, I definitely prefer it over Blogger too. For today, to pick one thing, I’m grateful for the sunshine to lift our spirits a little today after such horrible weather yesterday. Everything feels a tad more positive with brightness. Happy Thursday! x

    • We are having another wet storm coming through. It does looks like it’s going to be nice again after the weekend. I’m hoping so. 🙂

  3. MNL – My primary blogs are cactushaiku.com (poetry) and cactuscatz.com (my calico Pinkie, my cat art & photography, Midnight has passed so only past posts with Midnight). Hope to see you soon.

Congrats on switching and glad it was a good experience for you. I agree with you, it’s fun to see everybody’s four-footed friends. I am thankful for my blogging buddies too. It’s been quite a trip doing blogging.

  4. We are very thankful for all of our blogging friends and the Mom here is so thankful for all the kitties that live here. Also, Sandee, so glad you are going to do Thursdays now. You and Zane have one terrific day.

    • Love Brian’s kitties and thought why not. It’s a fun thing to do. You have a terrific day too, Marg. 🙂

    • Blogger is okay, but WordPress rocks. You can do so many things and so easily. You have a blessed day too. 🙂

  5. So many thankfuls this week for us, don’t know where I would begin. I am thankful for friends… friends I have met through blogging. They are special. I am so happy you like WordPress. There are many features about WordPress that make it enjoyable to use. We don’t have any four legged kids right now either but I enjoy visiting those that do… I enjoy it very much.

    • I think I love visiting the animal blogs the very best. There are so many precious little ones to enjoy. 🙂

  6. We switched to WordPress a good while ago and we’re glad we did too. Security is important and you can’t overdo it. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we’re totally thrilled you are joining us!

    • I’ll be participating each week, Brian. It’s a good thing to do and I’m trying for all things positive. 🙂

    • That’s so very true. Many never seem to look around at all the good things in their lives. Hugs back. 🙂

    • I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve gone to the positive side of everything. It’s far healthier. 🙂

  7. As something I read recently clearly stated, “There are millions of people that would love to have your bad day.” Looking at the world around us it doesn’t take long to realize that our bad day might be someone else’s very best day in a long time.
Like most, I am thankful for my family and doubly thankful that they all live close by. Have a blessed day. After all, if the grandkids weren’t close by there would be a lot of days that my camera would sit idle.

    • I think most of us in America have a pretty good life. Compared to other places even our poorest are better off than they are. 🙂

  8. Kismet – New River, Arizona. – I'm a 16 year old Indian Ringneck parrot curmudgeon in New River, Arizona in the wild west country. If you're a sunflower seed, you're dinner.

  10. The four legged babes sure do make our life fun and exciting. Could not even begin to think about not having Dakota and Lily by my side. Matter of fact, sitting here with Dakota curled up next to me and I could not slide a piece of paper between us! My left thigh is so warm!

    • Unconditional love right there. We had that with our Little Bit. We miss her so. Enjoy your babies, Pam. 🙂

    • I was hoping you would take what I did in the way it was intended. I don’t do this kind of thing very often. I had an overwhelming need to reach out. 🙂

  11. slugger708 – United States – I'm a professional humorist/children's writer, mother, friend, and cat owner, and the author of A Nice Place In The Sun. I write situational humor most of the time, but actually, there is no telling what I might turn out. I'm writing my first novel for adults, and I have children's book manuscripts, as well as short stories, traveling through the writers market. Most of my online work is posted on A Nice Place In The Sun, although I am published in local magazines, and continue to work toward traditional publication.

  12. Service Cats U.S. – I Audra, am the human behind Service Cats U.S. aka DezizWorld. I am disabled and use cats as service animals instead of dogs. They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. I want this blog to be interactive and get to know all of you, so comment and visit often. I will also offer advice, training tips and education when possible. • You can do so much with WordPress. So many things that Blogger can’t do. I love WordPress. 🙂

    • Yes, and I didn’t think I was smart enough to use WordPress. I was wrong and there are so many websites that can help you with anything you need. Far more than Blogger. 🙂

Now the children are all grown up I’m happiest when I’m out with the dogs or hiking a trail with my camera in hand. Hi Sandee, the WP blogging experince is so much better than Blogger, I started on Blogger and only lasted a couple of weeks before making the switch. Today I am thankful for having time to sit and listen to the birds busying themselves all around.

    xx
