Happy Tuesday

Post a funny picture. Post a not so funny picture.

Post whatever weirdness you want. That’s it.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Happy Tuesday post.

Being happy is a good thing.

  • “Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing.” – Lucius Seneca
  • “If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
  • “The whole secret of a successful life is to find out what is one’s destiny to do, and then do it.” – Henry Ford
  • “In order to write about life first you must live it.” – Ernest Hemingway
  • “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” — Dolly Parton

A couple of Scriptures come to mind. God the Father tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). Jesus, the very Son of God teaches us that future and hope can be ours when we, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

Number 1 speaks to me 100%.
Our daughter and son in law had a small intimate wedding in a local B&B, went on their honeymoon to Jamaica. When they returned home we had a huge reception catered (all families members invited) by one of their favorite BBQ cafes which was exactly what they told us they wanted from day one.
SOME of my families members had the never to say I can’t believe you are ‘letting’ them do that. I bit my tongue while saying this is THEIR wedding they get what they want!!
    Hugs Cecilia

Personally, I like this wee snippet of wisdom: “when life closes a door, just open it. That’s how doors work”. The pet rocks winced at that, only ‘cuz Seymour’s introduction to me was when I used him as a door stop moving in here…
