Happy Tuesday

Post a funny picture. Post a not so funny picture.

Post whatever weirdness you want. That’s it.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Happy Tuesday post.

Being happy is a good thing.

The Martha Stewart way or Maxine’s way:

Martha’s way: Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of an ice cream cone to prevent ice cream drips.

Maxine’s way: Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete’s sake! You’re probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it anyway.

Martha’s way: To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

Maxine’s way: Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix. Keeps in the pantry for up to a year.

Martha’s way: When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won’t be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

Maxine’s way: Go to the bakery! They’ll even decorate it for you.

Martha’s way: If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it’s still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant ‘fix-me-up’.

Maxine’s way: If you over-salt a dish while you’re cooking, that’s to bad. Please recite with me the real woman’s motto: ‘I made it, you will eat it and I don’t care how bad it tastes!’

In my kitchen, neither Martha nor Maxine hold any sway; here’s it’s my way: Any culinary barbarity that occurs is cured with a phone call to a pizza delivery place. Both pet rocks highly endorse this.

    MOL MOL MOL
This sums up whether I’m Maxine or Martha
‘I made it, you will eat it and I don’t care how bad it tastes!’ As a rule I always order ice cream in a cup….BUT when I was a child a Nutty Butty was a favorite I loved that dark cone and I always bit off the bottom of the cone to suck the ice cream.
    Thank you for the giggles
    Hugs Cecilia

We all have our ways. It’s a good thing. I can’t see me ever putting a marshmallow in the bottom of my cone. Hugs back. 🙂

When we do have mashed potatoes we peel and do them that way. Lots of butter and a little milk for us. Creamy and good. I’ve had them your way too. A bit rich for me but ever so good. 🙂
