  1. foguth – Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. You can always find out what she is working on and/or contact her at: www.jeannefoguth.com.

That cub looks adorable, but mom looks like she’s enduring a ‘terrible two’.

Too true, but I honestly believe the teen years are the worst.

Magnificent creatures. Also shows children of any species will be incredibly cute towards their parents when they’ve been naughty and want forgiveness!!

    • I agree. I think all kids no matter what species does about the same things. 🙂

    • Moms wear out far quicker than the little ones. I remember wanting a nap for years. Enjoy your day off tomorrow. 🙂

    • I hadn’t thought of that but you’re right. It was purely an accident. 🙂

    • Me too, Marg. Big cats are most impressive. I think they know it too. Happy Mothers day. 🙂

  3. curioussteph – Louisville, CO – June 2017: I started writing Curioussteph.com with this: By day, I'm a retired family physician turned body-oriented psychotherapist. I garden, travel, am owned by 2 elderly cats, figure skate and am training for my first triathlon. April 2020: Three years later, the two elderly cats have crossed the rainbow bridge, and we now have an 11 year old adoptee, Ziggy. I'm done with triathlon and skating for the time being, and I am still physically active, running, biking and walking. It's now the time of the coronavirus, which is affecting us all. July 2024: Four years later: I haven't been writing much, and change has continued. My partner of 36 years, BA has a number of health issues, primarily white matter disease, which has affected cognitive function and mobility. She has good days and bad, and so more of my time is spent managing our household and attending to her needs. My imagined retirement of spending half the year traveling isn't happening at the moment. Lots of adjustment and accommodation. Hoping to write more about retirement, and all the changes. We shall see.

Big cats–my favorites! Lucy is easily jealous of other cats, but I admire! https://curioussteph.com/2018/05/11/why-wasnt-i-informed/

And as she is nearly 20, with health issues, she will live out her days in solitary splendor. Her brother Jules was with us until this past November. Its different.

    • Thanks, Brian and thanks for linking up. You’re always most welcome. 🙂

    • We are still in our slip. Small craft advisory. Winds to 30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Not wise to be out in this. We’ll drive over for dinner tonight and then boat over tomorrow when this wind is gone. 🙂

    • Most of us were patient with our little ones. It was hard at times, but we survived. You ave a wonderful weekend too. 🙂

    • Kids love their moms. It’s a good thing. You have a wonderful weekend too, Nancy. 🙂

    • I hadn’t planned it for mother’s day, but it worked out very well. You have a great weekend too, Veronica. 🙂

So sweet and natural, and can’t you see this behavior in our little pals.

  6. Service Cats U.S. – I Audra, am the human behind Service Cats U.S. aka DezizWorld. I am disabled and use cats as service animals instead of dogs. They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. I want this blog to be interactive and get to know all of you, so comment and visit often. I will also offer advice, training tips and education when possible. Cousins!!! When I’s was a litte kitty girly I’s used to sit in front of the teevee and chat with mine’s lioness cousins. They even took me on a hunt with them once. Fur some reason, I’s didn’t get any of that pawsum girraffe I’s helped ’em take down tho’. MOL Have a pawsumly blest weekend. Big hugs

  10. So cute! I love the big cats! Yeah, okay, I love all cats but the big, wild ones have always intrigued me.

    • We didn’t boat today. High wind advisory. We are hoping to go tomorrow.. 🙂

  11. Met a Tabby the other day that looked like it had tiger of some sort in it. Daughter works for vet and she said it might have bangle in it ……it was pretty, it was big and it was in a carrier and not so happy. It was not feral but had been brought in cause it was found on the road and the vet will post on the local page on fb about it. Great pic above.

    • I’ve never seen a cat happy in a carrier. I hope this little one finds his home again. I hate to see them displaced from their people. 🙂

    • Thanks, Rosey. I hadn’t planned this for mother’s day, but it turned out just fine. 🙂

My blog is where I like to share photographs showing the wild beauty of Zakynthos that most people don’t get to see, recipes and other seemingly random things that come to mind.

Hi Sandee, the maternal instincts of animals always amazes me. They never need a manual!
