  1. Curious as a Cathy says:

    Sandee,

The first veterans I think of to thank are those in my family. I thankful for all the brave men and women who served our country. I’m with you, I can’t let a day go without being thankful. We’re so blessed, even when things aren’t going our way. Home-made pizza is my most frequent weekend food that I make for us. I’m planning to make a three meat pizza pie for tonight. 🙂 I’m with you again, this time of year I feel even more thankful. We certainly don’t need a season but it’s good to have devoted time set aside to reflect and give thanks to our heavenly Father for all good things in our life. Best of luck finding a new host for this spot. I understand the need to trim back on blogging. Have a great weekend, my friend!

Mom’s favorite uncle was a Vietnam Vet. We are always thankful for freedom. Mom loved Italian, but the plant based diet has kind of squashed that love.

      Sandee says:

Hubby is a Vietnam Vet and he’s a favorite too. He served in Germany though, not Vietnam. 🙂

  7. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team – UK – Well, now there's a question! Furstly and most importantly I'm a cat if mew hadn't already guessed. I got my Wing Commander status in September 2018 but that hasn't slowed me up at all! I tweet, Instacat, FB, Tumble & Pin too and now there's Basil TV on YouTube. All in all I'm a thoroughly Modern Cat; a cat of the 21st century, mew might say. My human & Purrsonal Assistant aka P.A. is Cathrine Garnell, and she writes books including a tale about my fictional alter ego, Basil the Bionic Cat. [See Books Page] I live in a multi-cat household, and mew can meet the rest of The B Team here most days of the week, as they all like a turn on the blog. I like mice, but then don't we all? I also like fresh tuna, chicken and prawns. I LOVE catnip, not in any excess I might add before mew jump to any wild conclusions. Thanks so much for dropping by, as we The B Team, love making new furriends, so do leave us a comment and say hi.
Wing Commander Basil & The B Team says:

Supurr fill-ins, and you are so right about being thankful this time of year! Happy Friday and thanks for hosting!

Stick with me, you’re not gonna believe this. My peep did his duty in a place that doesn’t exist anymore-the Panama Canal Zone. His dad did WW2 on a Soviet submarine. The USSR and USA were on the same side and his parents left Russia before the Russian revolution. Good thing because other family members didn’t survive the revolution. When WW2 broke out, he was drafted into the US Navy because he could speak Russian and they were on our side. He could speak Russian growing up that’s what the family spoke) and was a US Navy officer which allowed the Soviet sub (as a foreign war ship) to enter US waters and be ready to cooperate in case of attack. My peep, his son, learned to speak Spanish.
