1. I have given up on traveling. We had several trips planned and then the virus hit. I can’t imagine staying in a hotel now.
2. On St. Patrick’s Day, I do the same as every other day. We have corned beef and cabbage many times during the year, but never on St. Patrick’s Day.
3. I get cranky when I haven’t eaten or had enough sleep.
4. Hubby is my good luck charm.

I agree with you on #1. I am so desperate to go on a break but won’t feel safe in a hotel. We would most likely go self catering when it feels safer, but my own pillows and bedding will definitely go with us. I am a poor sleeper and get cranky too.
I just can’t see us staying in a hotel and we always stayed in nice ones, but not now. 🙂

I’m the same as you. Nothing different on St. Patricks Day. I cooked corned beef once a long long time ago and it was horrible. Apparently I just didn’t know what I was doing then but I’ve never tried to cook it again.
You have to know how to cook corned beef. It’s not hard, but it’s not pot roast. 🙂

Traveling is good for us. We stay in hotels and they are better than ever but everyone has to decide for themselves. Happy Friday!

I get cranky a lot! And I think it’s because I’m old. St Patrick’s Day I will be greeting the plumber who is coming to fix the leaks in the bathroom and the kitchen sink
I’m old too, but cranky is usually food or lack of sleep. Okay rode rage makes me cranky too. 🙂

I know what you mean about trips requiring hotel stays. I was a germOphobic before Covid. Traveled with clorox wipes before it was necessary.

We had such grand plans last year and when we canceled them we said we’re done. No desire to travel at all. 🙂
Precious little kitty! I am not afraid to travel and stay in a hotel. We’ve have always brought cleaning supplies with us and wiped down all surfaces, etc. Plus, we usually stay at the same hotels and are aware of how clean they are. On St. Patrick’s Day, we usually travel to Blue Ridge, but we’ll wait until later on in the year to make the trip. I get cranky for the same reasons you do and yep, hubby and my kitty are my good luck charms.
We are lucky gals, Eugenia and we both know it. I would love go to Blue Ridge too. Long way from here and since travel is off the table I’ll never make it there. 🙂
Do you have plans to get out and around on your boat?
No, not this weekend. We’re thinking the next weekend. We’ve got a couple of things that need doing before the boat gets detailed for the year. 🙂
Hopefully travel and other normal activities will resume this year.
Perhaps. We have our favorite place to go (Pacifica, CA) and it’s not very far from us. It’s our ocean getaway. 🙂

We’re fine staying home. We have projects and have kept busy with those things. We’ve done fine during this pandemic. Well after we laid in some toilet paper. We were really short on that. It was scary. Big hugs coming your way. 🙂

I think cabbage is stinky, but I do enjoy a good corned beast now and then. Also, I am very crabby too when I don’t get my noms on time… 8am and 4pm seven days a week. As for traveling, I don’t like it at all. Not to the vet. Not to the Blogpaws conference in Kansas City. Nope! I am not a traveler.
Kitties are much for traveling and those that are are most rare. I’ll stay home with you. Corned beast. I laughed out loud. 🙂

I love the kitty, screwball looked just like that the day he come home with me. He has since has some orange coloring show up in his coat. Celestine and I gave up on traveling a long time ago. On St Patrick’s day,I’m not doing anything special. I get cranky when I don’t eat enough, or when I suffer computer grief, or when something else aggravates me. Celestine was my good luck charm. God knows how much I miss her.
It did look like Screwball when you first got him. Cranky isn’t fun, but it happens. I miss Celestine too. I’m glad we got to talk to each other. 🙂

Seems like I’m running a day late and a dollar short this week.
I have given up on politicians…not that I ever really had any faith in any of them.
On St. Patrick’s Day, I don’t do anything special. I might wear a Kelly green baseball cap.
I get cranky when a politician takes credit for all of the good in this country and blames the other side for all of the bad in this country.
