Spring is one of the four conventional temperate seasons, following winter and preceding summer. There are various technical definitions of spring, but local usage of the term varies according to local climate, cultures and customs. When it is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it is autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. At the spring (or vernal) equinox, days and nights are approximately twelve hours long, with day length increasing and night length decreasing as the season progresses.
Spring and “springtime” refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth. Subtropical and tropical areas have climates better described in terms of other seasons, e.g. dry or wet, monsoonal or cyclonic. Source: Wikipedia
It’s so nice to see these beautiful images of spring! We’re still dealing with melting snow and ice here and can’t wait for the chage of seasons! Happy Wednesday. 🙂
It’s still cold here, but we do have some blossoms on the fruit and nut trees. I’m so ready, Debbie. 🙂
love all the flowers, lovely!
It is indeed. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
You just made our day, Sandee. Can’t wait till Spring comes out again 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday🐾😽💞
I’m happy about that, Little Binky. Making you and your granny happy is a goal of mine. 🙂
What lovely images I wish it was like that here at the moment heheh!
Have a springtastic WWS ➡
I wish is was like that here too, but it’s almost spring. You have a springtastic WW too, Steve. 🙂
These pictures definitely say spring to me. Now if it would only start looking like that here instead of looking very winter like
Today it looks like spring from inside, but outside it’s still winter. I will take the sun. 🙂
All those beautiful flowers to herald the arrival of Spring. Our daffodils have mostly finished now. They are always quite early being in the milder SW of England.
Lucky you. I’m still wearing all my winter clothes. I’m ready for thongs and short sleeve shirts. 🙂
Beautiful flowers to cheer us up!
You have them where you live already. We’re waiting. Happy Wednesday, Nancy. 🙂
You put a huge smile on our faces☺
I’m happy about that Miss Molly. 🙂
SPRING, WOOHOO….oh I can’t wait, I do LUFFS the sunshine on my furs and being able to go outside without getting my Princess slippers wet
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
I love the sunshine on my wrinkles Princess Leah. Not having wet feet/paws is a good thing. Loves and licky kisses back. 🙂
Come on Spring, we’re sure ready!
Yes we are. The kitties will love some warm sun puddles. 🙂
Wow⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
Yes, wow is right. Happy Wednesday, Cecilia. 🙂
Meant‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️No questions duh!
It is early need ☕️
I got it. 🙂
Spring…sigh OK, so we’re starting to get the right temps here in Tennessee, and we sure do have the mud. Think that will be our next picture…mud. Happy Wednesday.
We are a bit warmer this week, but not warm enough. It’s getting there. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
We are so looking forward to Spring. We have a little bit here in that our daffodils are blooming. Sure does brighten up the yard. Sandee, you and Zane have a nice day.
Yes they do brighten up your yard. We’re waiting here. You have a nice day too, Marg. 🙂
We always dread spring because around here it is just a serious dirty mess with all the melting snow and dirt left from the winter. It isn’t until late April usually that things start to look better.
Sounds familiar! Similar to southern Ontario. 🙂
I don’t think I would care for all the mess. The storm before the calm, I guess. 🙂
We don’t have that mess here, but I know some folks do have a mess until it dries out. 🙂
We’re so ready for Spring! Thanks for the beautiful preview of what’s in store, Sandee! 🙂
You’re most welcome. It seemed to be the right thing to do. 🙂
What a beautiful tribute to spring!
I agree, Jeanne. Now bring it on. 🙂
Beautiful spring photos. We just picked our pussy willows. Thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful day! XO
I’m so ready, Ellen. I think most of us that have gone through winter is ready for some warm weather. 🙂
In NW Arkansas spring still means a few sub-freezing nights and a possible blanket of snow right after the flowers bloom. Still, the promise of warmer days and an explosion of blooms is in the air. I have already seen daffodils in full bloom this week. Have a blessed Wordless Wednesday, regardless of how wordy it might be.
I’ve not seen the flowers yet, but have seen the blossoms on the fruit and nut trees. Beautiful. 🙂
Such a happy springy collage! Have a lovely day Sandee and Zane!
Yes it is and I’m ready for it to show up. Now. 🙂
I like Spring ’cause it’s my birthday! Growing up in a household full of people, one’s birthday was the only special day reserved for YOU, and I keep up the tradition by taking the day off every year; my day!
Birthdays are good. We have an anniversary next month. We love having days that are just ours too. 🙂
One thing we know for sure about spring, is that we wish it would hurry up and get here!! Those beautiful photos give us hope. 🙂
We’re all waiting on spring. More so this year than past years. Long winter. 🙂
These lovely photos make me wish we had Spring here.
Happy WW, Sandee
Well living in continual summer is a good thing. Better than winter. 🙂
Oh my….what a welcome site! We’re many weeks away from these sights and smells. This is a lovely reminder.
We are hoping another couple weeks for us. I’m so ready. 🙂
We don’t want springtime in Japan, we want it here….and now.
Amen to that, Kismet. I’m with you. 🙂
Spring greens and pinks are very welcome. I sometimes wish the blossoms would last longer! <3
Ours have lasted a very long time this year. Probably because of the cold and the rain. 🙂
I remember those lovely plants and hope to see them again. The drought is SO over.
We’ve gotten a bit of this, but not nearly enough. 🙂
Thanks for those cheerful images brightening a gray day. Be well!
Yes they will and do, Darla. 🙂
Beautiful springtime images, Sandee. We’re getting a hint of spring in my area. Budding trees and sunshine. Happy Wednesday.
We have a hint too, but with all the rain and cold it’s tough to think spring. 🙂
I feel happier already just look at all those lovely flowers thinking of spring! Hope it gets here soon.
Me too. I’m so ready for something other than cold and rain. 🙂
Somewhere in the world there are flowers–maybe Spring will comef!
They aren’t here either, Greg. Thanks for linking up today. 🙂
We hope all the rain and snow we have had will make for a lot of beautiful blooms here this Spring.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We are all hoping the same thing. I’m sure we’ll be happy when it finally arrives. 🙂
Awesome!! Spring has almost sprung 🙂 ((Hugs))
I’m so ready. I’m so ready to go boating without all the rain. The last two cruise it has rained. 🙂
Well, the 1st & the 7th are my favorites, but being allergic to bees the pictures will have to do in my case, but in that case I LOVE THEM ALL! I also love tulips because that means Spring is coming fast! Woo Hoo! Haven’t seen any yet 🙁 Have a great day girlfriend! HUGS LUV U LOTS!
I’ve not seen any yet. Just blossoms on the fruit and nut trees. It sure is beautiful. Love you back, Marie. 🙂
Beautiful photos. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Thank you, Patrick. You have a wonderful week too. 🙂
love the photos- good to be reminded spring is coming!
I know many don’t really believe that, but it is coming. 🙂
Spring is one of our most favorite seasons!!!
It’s my favorite season of them all. The world comes alive. 🙂
Love, love, love these photos. Man, I can not wait until spring is sprung already. I am so sick of looking out at drab. I hope you are having good weather there honey, it looks like rain here. I love you bunches, have a wonderful day ❤🤗
It’s cold today, but the sun is shining and it’s doing wonders for my mood. Happy dancing here. Love you back, Jody. 🙂
I love SPRING. I love the colors as they appear but for some reason FALL is my fave. I love watching my plants and flowers grow and bloom.
Fall is my second favorite season. Summers are very hot here. Triple digits are rampant all over the place. 🙂
That’s not how things look here right now. Seymour’s looking out the window, snorting hot chocolate and smirking…
Seymour smirks a lot. It’s the way he rolls. No pun intended. 🙂
(FYI this post can be added to my blog!) Sandee,Today was a great day, both temp wise and my appointment with the ortho people today. My wrist is totally healed per the x-rays I got today.I still need to use the splint on my left hand when I am transfering from the wheelchair to other places. I still hope to be going home on the 27th of March.
Great news indeed, Mike. I did a new post on your blog with this information. I’m doing the happy dance. 🙂
Lovely! This has been the coldest spring ever. It is like 50 and rainy here. I am ready for spring flowers!
It’s been really cold and windy here too. Lots and lots of rain. We’ve had a few days of sunshine and it’s been most wonderful. 🙂
Spring is always so pretty and so welcome, as is fall. It’s the coldest part of winter and the hottest part of summer i could easily do without.
I can do without those too. Spring and fall are most welcome. 🙂
Ah, springtime. We are having our annual month of SNOW!!!! Just to make us want spring all the more!
Well that would do it for me. I’m not a winter person and snow isn’t something that I would like. 🙂
We are in the midst of a blizzard with high winds. Snow is fleeting now but wind is still wild. Dreaming of Springtime….ah….beautiful collage. 🙂
I’m so tired of the bad weather. I hope yours ends soon and you can get a taste of spring. 🙂
Oh, it FINALLY feels like spring this week! After weeks and weeks of rain, it sure is nice to see the sun again! I hopes you are having some spring weather where you are!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Looks like you and I have been getting the same kind of weather. It’s been beautiful out the last few days. Kisses back, Ruby. 🙂
I love the daffodils. I have to wait half a year for them to appear down under.
We are getting warmer weather, but it’s a long way to go until spring hits. So cold. 🙂
After yesterday’s blizzard and power and WiFi outage, we want winter to be put on notice and go away. Sooner as opposed to later!
I hear you. Some really bad weather in places yesterday. Come on spring, we’re waiting. 🙂
Absolutely stunning spring time photo collage ~ Xox from me and Ms. Z ^_^
Thanks for your Get Well Wishes, too!
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
I do hope you’re feeling better. Being sick is not fun at all, but you do have a wonderful nurse in Ms. Zoe. 🙂
Those would be some very welcome signs of spring.
