Expensive Burger
Serendipity 3, New York
Price: $295
What Makes It So Expensive: Le Burger Extravagant is made with white truffle butter-infused Japanese Wagyu beef, topped with James Montgomery cheddar cheese, black truffles and a fried quail egg. It’s served on a gold-dusted roll spread with white truffle butter and topped with a blini, crème fraiche and caviar. If that weren’t enough to excuse the price, it also comes with a solid-gold, diamond-encrusted toothpick.
That would be 1,207.17 ringgit in our currency. I would rather spend the money on something else! Ah, but for the rich, what does it matter?
Happy WW, Sandee!
For the rich it doesn’t seem to matter one bit. Happy WW to you too,Veronica. 🙂
I am not a big burger fan but do have them now and again. That one does look tasty, but I can think of a lot better ways to spend my money.
That makes all of us. Way too rich for my blood. 🙂
I will have 2 please Sandee but not from there LOL
Have a burgertastic WWS ➡
How about we grill you some right here and you don’t have to pay anything. Have a great WW, Steve. 🙂
Can I have one…for fee please..don’t need a toothpick…MOL😸Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday, dear Sandee🐾😽💞
You can have whatever you want, Little Binky. Yes indeed. Happy Wednesday to you and your granny. 🙂
I had a light lunch and now waiting to go out for dinner. Looking at that burger makes me very hungry!
That’s what usually happens when I show up at your place. I love your foodie posts and it’s usually before I’ve had breakfast that I visit. 🙂
I do hope that none of these rich people ordering this burger don’t choke on the diamond encrusted toothpick. Even if I could, I would never pay that kind of money for a burger no matter how fancy it is.
Me either, Ann. I just amazes me what some people will spend their money on. 🙂
Oh dear, I finks I might have DROOLED over the keyboard…oophs!
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
You could probably eat most of this, Princess Leah. Loves and licky kisses back. 🙂
You have both me and mom drooling but that burger is a wee bit out of our price range!
It’s more than a wee bit out of our price range. Have a great day, Molly. 🙂
Forget the burger (rather have Mickey D, methinks!) … but I’ll take that gold toothpick!
Anything but this burger. Way too rich for my blood. You can have the toothpick. 🙂
Sandee,
I’ve heard of these overpriced Japanese burgers. I like a good hamburger but I seriously doubt these expensive ones are any better than a good regular beef burger. In fact, I’m like 99.9999% sure an American all-beef burger will trump a wagyu burger every single time according to my taste buds anyhow. That’s my opinion anyhow and I’m sticking with it. 🙂 I will say this burger does have a nice yummy look but then looks can be deceiving. 😉 Thanks for hosting the mid-week fun, my dear. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I’m sure you’re right. I don’t think this burger would be all that good. I sure don’t want that price tag for a burger. You have a wonderful Wednesday too, Cathy. 🙂
I have to confess that that burger doesn’t look very appetizing to me. I think I’d take one from Burger King over that one. Plus, my wallet would be happier about that choice too.
I don’t think it does either, but I was amazed at the price. Burger King works for me too. 🙂
That burger does look tasty, but I can’t imagine spending that much money. I’d rather just go to In-n-Out, or make myself a burger at home. 🙂
Happy Wednesday, Sandee!
Of all the burgers at a burger place the double-double at In-N-Out is my favorite. Haven’t had one in a very long time though. We do our own at home and they don’t have all the grease. 🙂
We are going to pass on the burger. My mom wouldn’t like it, but we know lots of people love fancy burgers like that. Bailie and I just want the meat part. Happy WW.
I think we’re all going to pass on this very overpriced burger. Happy WW to you too. 🙂
It’s a good thing I have far more simple tastes. LOL
I have those same simple tastes. 🙂
We might part with $2.95 but not that much money, yikes!
I’m with you on this one. It just amazes me how expensive some things are. 🙂
It looks nice, but I wager my hubby can grill something just as delicious…. and for a whole lot less.
We had burgers last night that hubby grilled. They were delicious and cheap. 🙂
Well that looks yummy, but I have a question. How in the world would one eat that?? Not to mention, it is just a tad expensive. Sandee, you and Zane have a really good day.
How in the world can someone afford that. You’re right though it’s huge. You have a great day too, Marg. 🙂
As you may know, quail eggs aren’t really expensive, just ubiquitous to Japanese cuisine. They are a taste treat raw over flying fish roe sushi, though I feel rather unwilling after seeing a mother hen and chicks at the zoo. ~grin~ And this looks like too much of a good thing. Heh… I would like to try truffles with some nice cheese on a burger, though not wagyu beef. We once ate wagyu steaks in Cleveland at a B&B. Too rich for my tastes, let alone the bank. lol Be well!
I’ve never had that beef and I never will. I do just fine with the burgers we make here now and then. Very cheap too. Be well too, Darla. 🙂
I love a big burger but $295 is too much for me. I’d get sick even before I’d eat it. See ya Sandee.
Cruisin Paul
Me too, Paul, but it always amazes me how much money some people throw around. 🙂
Yummy!! I would have never guessed it had gold. It looks good 🙂 ((Hugs))
And very expensive too. In-N-Out here I come. 🙂
Yikes! I prefer to spend money on my cats’ health 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful day. XO
Me too, Ellen. I would never even consider spending this kind of money on a burger. 🙂
Egg and caviar on a burger doesn’t sound all that appetizing to me.
Me either. I’m a pretty simple kind of gal. 🙂
Looks pretty tasty, but then so do most burgers but I couldn’t conceive of spending $295 for one because it has white truffle butter. 🍔
Me either. Way to rich for my blood. We don’t do fancy here. 🙂
That made my stomach grumble until I saw the price tag. Huge gulp!
I can think of a lot of ways to better spend 300 bucks. I know you can too. 🙂
Yeah, I can. Besides if I were to spend $300 on a meal (can’t imagine I ever would), I’d at least like a steak and dessert, oh and something to drink would be nice.
I would never buy this either. I just find in amazing that some people wouldn’t even blink at this price. 🙂
Looks yummy but no thank you! Makes a good centerpiece! Happy Wednesday!
You and I can meet somewhere else and enjoy an less expensive lunch. Happy Wednesday to you too. 🙂
Isn’t that the restaurant with the bridge in Brooklyn for sale?
It very well my be, but this is a real place that sells this burger. 🙂
No…just no! Nothing about this burger sounds good to me, including the price!
Wishing you a happy Wednesday! <3
I hear you. The price puts you right off on the entire thing. Happy Wednesday to you too, Barbara. 🙂
Oh my goodness. Unbelievable! Only for people with money to burn!
Yes only for people with money to burn. I don’t have any money to burn. 🙂
I have never eaten a truffle, I’m afraid I would like them so much I would have to take out a second mortgage. lol
Yes, it’s way too rich for my blood. I got both of your comments. Happy about that. 🙂
I have never eaten a truffle, I am afraid I would like them and have to take out a second mortgage.
Did this comment go through?
Me either. We fix our occasional burgers here at home. They are pretty cheap. Yes, this comment went through. WordPress has been a bit slow lately. 🙂
NO! Just No! I wouldn’t care if the toothpick were made with platinum and the Hope diamond…there’s no way I’d pay $295 for it. Must be nice to have that much money to burn a hole in one’s pocket!
That makes two of us, but it’s amazing what some people will buy and the high price they will pay. 🙂
Yummy looking ~ would never pay the price ~ plus money could be used to feed others who don’t have food ~
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
It does look good and I’d love to taste it, but I don’t want to buy it. Happy Wordless Wednesday to you and Ms. Zoe. 🙂
That definitely looks yummy but I lost my appetite when I saw the price! LOL!
Me too, Linda. No way would I buy this. 🙂
I’m sorry but there is NO burger worth $295! You can get an amazing burger from Bobby Flay’s in Vegas for under $25 and there is a burger place locally that make a great double-patty burger for $6.95. A $295 Burger…nope,..I ain’t doin’ it!!!
I’d do that burger from Bobby Flay’s, but not a burger for 295. They haven’t even added the tax and tip yet. 🙂
Rich people just need to find new ways to spend their money, I guess.
They do, on these burgers. I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg for them. 🙂
Looks good, but even if I were rich, I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on a hamburger. Especially since so many people don’t have enough food to eat. Talk about “conspicuous consumption” – literally! Happy Wednesday. 🙂 Thank you for the link up. What time does your post usually go live? I always seem to get here late (after having checked earlier).
I wouldn’t either, but I love to see what people will pay for things. I live on the west coast and I go live at 12:10am pacific time. 🙂
Oops! Nevermind! It seems I did get here in time this round and forgot. Sheesh. Sorry! Can you delete that last link? Thanks!
You’re good because I put you in and I took that link out. I left the one you put in. You always link up so I was trying to help. Happy WW. 🙂
Thank you for doing that! Glad to know I haven’t lost my mind. LOL
Yuuuuuumy good thing this is wordless ’cause my mouth is full of ‘burger
Hugs Cecilia
That will be $295.00, Cecilia. 🙂
Wow! What a burger… 🙂
Yes and what a price too. Happy Wednesday, Bette. 🙂
Happy Wednesday to you too, Sandee! 🙂
I can’t even imagine spending that much on a burger :-).
Happy WW!
STOP making me want to eat that RIGHT NOW!!! MOL!! xoxo
That makes most of us, Caren. I know I wouldn’t spend my hard earned dollars on this. 🙂
It wins for my ‘silliest burger ever’ award!
I agree with you 100%. 🙂
oh silly silly rich folks with no brains! I would rather buy a whole bunch of Burgers at Giant Burger in Lake Oswego and
share them with a lot of family and friends….good grief….Now Sandee you and Zane have a great day and a tasty burger too! xoxo K R and Lucy
That makes two of us, Kathe. You have a great day too. Love to all. 🙂
And in the end, as with any other burger, all you can do is eat it.
I agree. I’d rather have hubbies grilled burgers. They are very good and cost very little. 🙂
It doesn’t look good to me. Thanks for sharing it.
I’d rather have the burgers hubby grills. Way cheaper and very good. 🙂
Wow! That is way too expensive for my taste! Late but I am here. ALways grateful to be part of this. THank you and have a lovely end to your week. They fly by quickly. HUGS and LOVE
Yes the weeks fly by very quickly. Glad you joined in on the fun. 🙂
Thanks for linking us up. Cooper Murphy knows how much you enjoy seeing him. He is a big boy, but it was a long camera lens that made him look REALLY big. He asked me to send you a kitty kiss and head bonk. Hugs, Janet
I love Cooper Murphy. I’ll that that kiss and head bonk. Hug back. 🙂
You must be at this all day. Almost 100 people??? OMG I’m sending out a massive letter to all my friends so you know what’s up! Luv you!
Half of them are mine. I try to answer all comments. Love you, Marie. 🙂
I’m sending all my close friends an email. Please check. I thought I sent yours, but I don’t see this status I left.
I get so many I’m not sure I got one from you or not. Can you resend? 🙂
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh geez, sorry I left 2 now… ooops I mean 3. How do you put up with me! Love you! Hugs
You are easy to put up with. I love you, that’s why. 🙂
Ah the truffles! I bet it is really good, but 295 bucks! That is like a huge chunk of my monthly grocery bill!
I’m sure it’s very good, but I’ll have a burger that hubby grills. Much cheaper and fits my lifestyle. 🙂
My pet rock, Seymour, sez he’d eat it, but that I have to pay for it. With that as the deal, he won’t get to eat it…
That’s the way Seymour rolls. He’s pretty cheap with his money. I love him though. 🙂
I think I might like the burger. Can I have it my way. Adios the caviar, lose some of the truffle, and I never got used to an egg on my burgers here in New Zealand so take it off. I don’t think I can digest the gold so skip that and with all that much less on the burger, I don’t think I’ll need the toothpick to hold it all together.
You can have it your way. I’d want to take some of the things off too. It’s too expensive for my blood. 🙂
