Japan is another destination du jour that’s likely been raved about by your globetrotting friends—but there’s much more to be discovered. Let’s start with the must-sees: The bustling Tokyo and the spiritual and stunning Kyoto aren’t to be missed.
What a beautiful shot very scenic I like the colours too 🙂
Have a destinationdujourtastic WWS ➡
Nothing beats cherry blossom season. Happy Wednesday, Steve. 🙂
Fantastic capture ♥
Someone certainly knew how to set this shot up. 🙂
Japan is top of my dream list for places to visit. That photo is stunning!
Happy Wednesday =]

I hope you get to some at some point, Caz. Happy Wednesday to you too. 😉
Wow, that view does leave you wordless!
Loves and licky kisses

I succeeded then. I’m happy about that, Princess Leah. 🙂
What a beautiful view.
I agree, Ann. 🙂
Sandee,
What a stunning photo! Part of me would love to be a world trotting traveler if a) I had the financial resources and b) Wasn’t a bit scardey Cathy. Thank heavens for beautiful pictures like this that circulate the net! Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friend!
I’m in the same boat as you. Our traveling days are over. I’m good with it too. You have a wonderful Wednesday too, Cathy. xoxo 🙂
Amazing scene! Enjoy your Wednesday, Sandee! ((Hugs))
Yes it is and you enjoy your Wednesday too, Michelle. Hugs back. 🙂
Asia in general is an interesting place to see. Mom used to be over there all the time in her years as a flight attendant. The culture and lifestyle is so different from here in the USA. Lots of history and culture to see and learn about.
Oh how fun to be able to travel the world as a flight attendant. 🙂
Another WOWer! So much pretty, so little time!
Yes so much pretty and so little time. 🙂
Beautiful cherry blossoms. Thanks for hosting. I hope you have a wonderful day! XO
You’re most welcome, Ellen. I hope you have a wonderful day too. 🙂
I think it would be so awesome to visit Japan. I love to learn about different cultures. This photo is beautiful Sandee. I hope you have a great hump day. Love you honey ❤
I love the country. I love the food. I love the culture. Love you back. 🙂
I love this photo, Sandee! Japan IS amazing, and a wonderful place to visit. We were lucky enough to go toward the end of Cherry Blossom season. All I can say is WOW. Yes, Tokyo and Kyoto are perfect places to start. Right outside of Kyoto is Nara, which I think may have been my favorite. It’s amazingly ancient, and they have tame deer that wander all over the town (and have been for, like, forever). I totally want to go back. Happy Wednesday!
Lucky you for getting to go and during cherry blossom season. Wow is right. Happy Wednesday to you too. 🙂
Beautiful scene!
Thank you and I agree. 🙂
Beautiful view of the snow capped mountain and gorgeous cherry blossoms.
Yes on both counts, Nancy. Thanks for joining in on the fun today. 🙂
Now that is one gorgeous picture. That is just the best. Sandee, you and Zane have a perfect day.
It’s most beautiful isn’t it Marg. A slice of heaven on earth. 🙂
You’re torturing us with MORE snow?
Yes, but this time the snow is on the mountain and you’re not. 🙂
That is one stunning photo! Since I’ll probably never travel to Japan, looking at photos will just have to do. Hope your week is going well. xoxox
Same for me, Lisa. I’ll never make it there either. We are having a great week. I hope you are too. 🙂
Amazing photo. That mountain is like an ice cream cone. See ya Sandee.

Looks like a bunch of double comments today. The more the merrier. 🙂

What a view this is. I would love to be there just to see this view. 🙂
My son visited Tokyo last year and still raves about Japan.
Happy WW, Sandee
I think sometimes it take a bit for your comment to appear. You did comment and here is the first comment. 🙂
Hmm! Funny but I thought I commented earlier. Wonder where my comment went!
Anyways, I was saying my son visited Tokyo and loved it.
Happy WW, Sandee!
I’ve checked my spam folder and you’re not in there, Veronica. I’ve approved your comments many moons ago. 🙂
Stunning image! Especially appreciated on this miserable winter’s day. 🙂 Japan and all of the Far East must be fascinating.
I was looking for the same thing, Debbie. I’m so done with winter. 🙂
Japan is on my bucket list for sure! My son visited Japan 6 or 7 years ago with University colleagues and they loved it and were impressed with the people.
I hope you get to go. I’ve many friends that have enjoyed their visit to Japan. 🙂
Breathtaking but I don’t want to actually go there.
I don’t either, but it is beautiful. We don’t travel anymore. 🙂
I so hoped to tag along on a trip to the corporate headquarters of my last Japan based employer. ~sigh~ It wasn’t to be.
Some get to go and others don’t. Sorry you missed it. 🙂
Beautiful! Cherry blossoms with a snow capped mountain in the background. What more could one ask for!
Yes it’s a beautiful shot. There are so many great photographers. 🙂
I understand that the Japanese people are crazy about cats too!
Yes they are and that’s a good thing. 🙂
Beautiful share! I have a good friend who is a native of Japan and she is blessed to go home at least twice a year. She lives and works in the USA legally and paid a hefty price to be a legal working stiff. She cracks me up, her mom is forever on her case for not being the perfect Japanese girl. She told me she once was asked to leave a yoga class because she could not complete the pose and they told her : “You are a bad Japanese” I call her Dr. T because she has a Ph.D. in Audiology. We can discuss WWII like 2 adults and she often told me stories of her grandmother as a young girl during the war. We read the book “Unbroken” and had wonderful, often emotional discusses about it. I tell her stories about my late FIL who was near Pearl Harbor when it happened. She is married to an American and they have a daughter and a son, beautiful children. SHe lives on an old farm. Her hubby redid the house to Better Homes and Gardens perfection, one room at a time. She also has a private blog so she can complain to herself about her mom’s strict comments on her weight. A patient once said, your people make excellent lemon chicken. She was dumbfounded. I said you gotta tell it like it is chickie, you are Japanese not Chinese. Let people know and always, be proud of who you are and where you come from. (oh she speaks fluent Spanish too shhhh……not everyone knows this about her.) HaHaHa
What a lovely comment. What a wonderful friend you have. Hugs and love. 🙂
Oh my goodness, where do you always find these beautiful pics? Anyway girlfriend, I cannot believe California has winter… any kind of winter!!! Dang, I was just saying to my husband you know what I think is this planet has gotten knocked off its axis!!! So if that’s true our seasons are getting knocked outta place. It’s just going to be a new way of life. I love your pics… have a great day my love and as always you are always in my heart. Never change you’re a great person! Big Ol’ Hugs!!!
I search and search. There are so many beautiful places on earth. Love you honey and thanks for linking up. 🙂
Amazing picture! Makes me want to hop on a plane NOW! Oh yeah, got cats to feed – no plane jumping for me!
Yes, the cats will be happy that you’re staying home with them. 🙂
That is a very inviting and beautiful photo!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Yes it is and it looks so very warm. 🙂
We need some cherry blossoms here!
We do too, Binky. I’m so ready for spring. 🙂
Such a lovely pic. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful rest of the week.
You’re most welcome, Patrick. You have a wonderful rest of the week too. 🙂
The cherry blossoms are beautiful! I want to visit Japan someday, tasting all of the food is kind of right up there next to sightseeing for me 🙂
Hubby and I love Japanese food. It’s the top of our list. 🙂
Japan looks gorgeous and I bet it would be a wonderful place to visit!!
Those folks that I know that have visited loved it very much. 🙂
It’s beautiful, and as much as i would like to, i do not think i will ever get to Japan.
I won’t either, but it’s a beautiful place with lots of wonderful history. 🙂
What a gorgeous view, I had a friend that was over there for years after living in Africa and Germany. I’m not sure I’d want to make the effort you’d need to see all the sights at this point.
I’m too old for this kind of travel anymore, but it would be a wonderful place to explore. Hubby would love it too. 🙂
Seymour’s been there…he was hosted by Amy Chavez in 2007, and he spent a year in Japan achieving local celebrity at the Moooo! Bar on the beach at Shiraishi Island.
This sounds so, Seymour. He doesn’t have to find trouble, it will find him. 🙂
Love the beautiful photo!
We lived in Japan for a couple of years and it was so interesting. We were just outside of Tokyo, and on some clear days we could see Mt. Fuji in the distance. The cherry blossoms were gorgeous too. <3
What an experience indeed. Hubby loves all things Japanese. 🙂
Oooh, the incomparable Mt. Fuji. Exquisite.
Yes, I would love to see that view in person. 🙂
I love Mt Fuji and Kyoto is amazing. My dad took our family to the foot of Mt. Fuji when we were stationed there. I still think it’s one of the most beautiful mountains/volcanoes in the world. Kyoto I got to visit in my 20s. I had an amazing time. There are temples everywhere — just follow the red torii gates and you’ll find one. And the lotus leaves in the ponds are huge — like dinosaur leaves.
Lucky you. Many have this country on their bucket lists. 🙂
