Machu Picchu: Peru – Machu Picchu’s panoramic views and intricate (and a tad mysterious) stone walls more than validate the site’s worldwide fame.
WOW! What a view ♥ Pawkisses for a Happy WW 🙂 ♥
I would love to visit here. It is a view and such history too. 🙂
I agree what a lovely view great angle too that animal is brave standing on the edge 🙂
Have a scenicnictastic WWS
I’m sure it’s used to roaming around here. We’ve seen the mountain goats do amazing things too. 🙂
Wow, what an amazing view. That would be fascinating to see and explore.
It sure would, Ann. A trip of a lifetime. 🙂
It would be an interesting place to explore. What a spectacular view!
A place filled with much history too. 🙂
That sure looks like a great place to explore. Great picture. Sandee, you and Zane have a super day.
Yes it would be, Marg. You have a super day too. Scritches to all your babies. 🙂
That would be another great place to visit! 🙂
Each week I try to find someplace I would love to visit. There are so many wonderful places. 🙂
Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list for a long time, but the closest I’ve gotten – so far – is Columbia.
That’s way closer than I’ve gotten. Good for you. 🙂
Ah, but I know some who’ve visited all the continents. (Yes, including Antartica) My personal bucket list isn’t continental, it’s basically ruins, beautiful vistas and amazing architecture, which is often ancient.
It’s on many people’s bucket list but it’s come off of mine – too high altitude.
Of all the people that can’t do altitudes it would have to be you. A world traveler. 🙂
That is a great photo. Have a nice day 🙂
Thanks, Ellen. You have a nice day too. 🙂
Sandee,
That’s a famous photo scene, except this is the first time for me to see a goat looking over this Peru city. Thanks for hosting the mid-week fun, my friend!
I think it’s a llama. Too big for a goat. You have fun too, my friend. 🙂
Sandee, have a great day!!
You have a great day too, Michelle. 🙂
So far I’m lovin` WordPress 🙂
That doesn’t look real! Oh, and I like your funny posts from the day before. Be well, my dear.
It doesn’t does it. It’s real though. You be well too, Darla. 🙂
And a goat surveys the ruins. Nice shot.
I would love to poke around those ruins. What an adventure that would be. 🙂
Don’t sneeze too hard-it’s a looooong way down.
You could do a fly over, Kismet. 🙂
Love this pic. Very beautiful, thanks for hosting and I hope you are having a short week.
I’m retired, Patrick so my weeks are whatever we want them to be. 🙂
Photo says it all ~ xxx

Happy times to you and Zoe, Carol. 🙂
That’s one amazing place, so beautiful!
So beautiful and rich with history. 🙂
Stunning. Almost looks like a model village, like it’s too good to be real.x
It’s a real place. It does look like a model village from up that high. 🙂
A lucky llama with a view.
Yes indeed, Binky. 🙂
Great Wordless Wednesday. I put my link in so you and others can check mine out.
Thanks, Crystal. Scritches to Daisy Mae. 🙂
What a view! And it looks like it’s been mowed and trimmed.
I accidently deleted your comment to me when I was looking for the Notify me. You can put it back, I liked your comment. Where does your husband find his ink cartridges? He probably has a better pen than I had back then.
I just put in something about hubby and ink cartridges. I put in another comment. 🙂
oh my what an exquisite view!
Yes it isl, Caren. Scritches to the boys. 🙂
Thanks for visiting and commenting ~ xxx ~

You’re most welcome, Carol. Lovies to Zoe. 🙂
That goat sure is in shape! Can’t imagine climbing all of the hills! But the view is pretty decent…
We would be too if we were up and down those hills everyday. 🙂
I have seen many tv documentaries about this place. What would be amusing would be to photo-shop a Starbucks up there!
That would be funny indeed. I’m not good with photo-shop so I can’t do it. 🙂
Isn’t this world of ours amazing?! I hope you are having a great day!
Yes it is. Some of the people aren’t, but the world is. You have a great day too. Jen. 🙂
You just gotta wonder, who was standing in the depths of those valleys and and said, “I’ll bet there’s a flat spot up there somewhere that we can build a city. It’ll be famous!”
It would have happened that way, or not. Some very rich family lived here with lots and lots of staff. 🙂
Oh my gosh, sure hope somebody has a rider mower!!! ~snicker~ That’s an absolute gorgeous shot of scenery though! Somebody said something about the animal on that ledge, but what about the guy taking the picture… ooooooo gives me the shivers!!! ~hehehe~ Our world IS truly amazing my friend! TRULY IS!
I’m sure they do now, but back then they didn’t. There were many people employed here to keep the place looking great. 🙂
As fascinating as the Greek and Roman ruins i’ve seen!
You’re traveled a lot. Good for you. I love these kinds of adventures. 🙂
I would love to go here…have a lovely day- sorry I was too busy yesterday to participate! We were both busy
cleaning up our side yard after Russell and a neighbor took down two dead Oak trees. More on that later. Big hugs!
You an Russell travel. We don’t so much, but it’s one place I would love to see. Big hugs back. Scritches to Miss Lucy. 🙂
What a fabulous photo! It must be beautiful there.
I know many folks travel there every year. I’m guessing it is even more beautiful than this photograph. 🙂
Hi Sandee, quite stunning and it is a place I would love to visit one day.
xx
Me too. The history is fascinating. 🙂
wow! I want to go there someday
I love history. There is so much to learn around the world. 🙂
