Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

The Great Lakes – Mackinac Island, Michigan

The five lakes collectively offer 11,000 miles of attraction-packed shoreline, and new small ship cruises are making it easier to explore. Highlights of the area include Michigan’s Mackinac Island, which opened two new hotels in 2019.

Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wedne Ssday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Zina, Keith, Cathy, Sara, CatSynth, Diana, and Suzana.

It’s interesting to see places that have lakes and bodies of water nearby. We have to travel to see any large water places. We do have a small playa lake right by our house, though. The geese will be coming in for the winter from the northern areas soon. Looking forward to that.
    Happy Wednesday! <3

It’s a wonderful island to visit!
Did you know that no motorized vehicles are allowed (except when the President visited a few years ago).
You go on foot, on bicycle, or by horse-drawn carriages.
A lovely place to spend a few days!

Beautiful pic! I have a fascination for the water and ships. We are five hours from the Gulf of Mexico, which by no means is a beauty – but it has ships! LOL! Happy Wednesday!

I was in the UP about 25 yrs ago biking (and driving) and saw the island from afar. Read about it and decided it was too expensive for me but wanted to see it. Well, after driving over that bridge and nearly dying (I thought)?? Nope, I wanted to get away! But it was gorgeous even back then.
