Capri, Italy
Capri is an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrento Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. The main town Capri that is located on the island shares the name. It has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic.
Some of the main features of the island include the Marina Piccola (the little harbour), the Belvedere of Tragara (a high panoramic promenade lined with villas), the limestone crags called sea stacks that project above the sea (the faraglioni), the town of Anacapri, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas, and the vistas of various towns surrounding the Island of Capri including Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento, Nerano, and Naples.
Capri is part of the region of Campania, Metropolitan City of Naples. The town of Capri is a comune and the island’s main population centre. The island has two harbours, Marina Piccola and Marina Grande (the main port of the island). The separate comune of Anacapri is located high on the hills to the west. Source: Wikipedia

Italy is ever so beautiful. I’ve always dreamed of being Italian or at least living there. This side of Italy is like a slice of heaven.
I would love to explore the entire country. A slice of heaven indeed. 🙂
Beautiful picture. I have been to Sorrento and the surrounding area several times but never to Capri. The next time we take a Med. cruise that calls at Naples I will have to make sure we take the ferry to Capri.
You’re such a traveler. Way cool, Jackie. 🙂
What a beautiful photo I could sit somewhere like that all day just admiring (◑ ͜ر ◑)
Have a scenictastic week and WWS 👍
Me too and I’ll meet you there, Steve. 🙂
Looks beautiful. I wouldn’t mind sitting there watching the boats for a while.
I’ll join you, Ann. 🙂
Beautiful place. Great view with the boats and calm water.
I can see myself out on the water here. 🙂
So beautiful!
Yes indeed, Miss Molly. 🙂
It looks like a great place for you with all the boats.
It’s the perfect place for hubby and I. 🙂
Beautiful scene!
Very much so, Athena and Marie. 🙂
My late mother in law visited Italy twice, both times after she turned 60. Her first visit was also the first time she was ever on a plane. She loved it! Your picture makes me want to go, too. Alana ramblinwitham
Many can’t afford to travel until they get into the later years of their lives. I’m glad your late mother in law got to visit twice. 🙂
One of these days I’m going to get to Italy, and now I know where to go!
There are so many places to visit in Italy. Happy day. 🙂
Beautiful and clearly a popular spot. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
Yes on both counts, Ellen. You have a great day too. 🙂
That would be a wonderful place to visit!
It sure would, Brian. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
That’s certainly somewhere we’d like to visit someday. So beautiful, and an amazing history! Thank you for hosting, Sandee. Happy Wednesday! 🙂
The history is a great part of the attraction. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
The color of the water is idyllic.
It sure is. I would love to be there on our boat. 🙂
Beautiful photo. It looks so peaceful.
When there is boats and water life is peaceful. 🙂
Beautiful!!🤗
It sure is, Michelle. Have blessed day. 🙂
I can’t get the song Isle of Capri out of my head!
Happy Weds, Sandee!
Now it’s stuck in my head. I’d all good. Happy Wednesday, Veronica. 🙂
Another beautiful place to visit.
Yes indeed. I’d love to spend some time here. I’d want to be on a boat though. 🙂
For once I can say I have been to this beautiful location. Much like Beaufort, NC (without the mountains) Sorrento (1968) was a quaint little coastal town, probably a buzz with tourists now.
Hugs Cecilia
Lucky you. It’s most beautiful. Okay the boats pulled me in. Hugs. 🙂
it is beautiful and that is a lot of boats. my thoughts are, don’t come back to your boat when drinking, might get on the wrong one
As long as it’s anchored it’s okay. Driving is not okay. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful and very inviting. Happy Tuesday!
I want to be on our boat there. 🙂
Me too!
When I was 15 years old I visited Capri for a day- glorious place! Thanks Sandee!
Lucky you. You’ve traveled far more than we have. 🙂
I was lucky! You still have lots of time to travel! xoxoxo
Commenting for me has been a really Grizzly bear today too. First few comments went into a black hole so I commented on several blogs. Save my comment a pasted it but it took at least 3 times. Kept getting network change was detected?!
Hugs Cecilia
I’m having the same issues. I think my problem is Firefox. It won’t let me comment with my google account on blogger blogs. 🙂
Oh my goodness so peaceful and calm. Like I am trying to be! Beautiful share! I am here when I can. Love you my friend for all you do for others and especially for me. THANK YOU

The Adriatic is more lovely than the Mediterranean in my humble opinion.
What a beautiful place. I’ll dream about it…
Thank you Sandee for sharing this amazing place.
Happy WW and a fabulous week!
Me too, Suzana. You have a happy WW too. 🙂

We’re in triple digit here too. 🙂
I am fortunate to say I have been to Europe quite a few times. THIS is not one of the places I was lucky enough to see. Italy is full of so many beautiful places.
I agree that Italy if full of beautiful places. 🙂
Ah, the Isle of Capri! Such a beautiful place. I was there in the early 80’s and loved every minute of my visit. There weren’t many boats in the cove as there is here though. Stunning shot!
A beautiful place. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂

A trip of a lifetime. 🙂
Such a beautiful view!
Very much so. 🙂
I would love to visit Italy… Thanks for sharing, Sandee!
So would I, Bette. 🙂
Oh, such gorgeous waters. Mom says whenever she hears mention of Capri it brings back memories of her vry young years when her mother would sing “Twas on the Isle of Capri . . .” to her at bedtime.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Oh how neat that is. Wow. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
It’s been a lot of years, but being in the Blue Grotto is something you never, ever forget. Happy Wednesday!
I would love this place very much. On a boat of course. 🙂
Lovely
I agree. I would love to be there on our boat. 🙂
