WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.
For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.
Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.
SchleiBheim Castle
Oberschleißheim is a municipality in the district of Munich, in Bavaria, Germany. It is located 13 km north of Munich (centre). As of 2005 it had a population of 11,467.
Oberschleißheim is best known for the Schleissheim Palace and the Flugwerft Schleissheim next to the airport housing the airplane department of the German Museum. The airfield is also home to one of the five German Federal Police helicopter squadrons. Established in 1912, the airfield was the first in Bavaria.
During World War II, a subcamp of Dachau concentration camp was located here.
In the early 20th century, Schleißheim was home to author Waldemar Bonsels, who was inspired to write his “Biene Maja” by a gnarly tree in the woods nearby. Source: Wikipedia

Majestic and beautiful. Love the reflection. Thank you for hosting and have a great week.
I love the reflection too. You have a great rest of the week too, Nancy. 🙂
What a great shot with the reflection from that distance reminded me of Buckingham palace down the road from me although I have never been invited around 🙂
Have an eleganttastic week and WWS 👍
You’ve not been invited. The nerve. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Steve. 🙂
I can’t pronounce it but it sure is pretty 🙂
That makes two us Ann. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
What a beautiful photo and reflection.
Yes indeed, Miss Molly. 🙂
Nice, but wouldn’t want to live there!
Amen to that. 🙂
That is a perfect reflection photo. Mom was in Munich a few times when she lived over there. It is a pretty place but the people were a bit snobby.
I’ve heard that. Zane was there during the Vietnam war. He said the people didn’t take regular baths and they stank. 🙂
What skies! (The castle is spectacular, too.) Happy I don’t have to clean it. Alana ramblinwitham
It sure is. I would never be able to clean this. To big. 🙂
now that is a mansion for sure. I would like to visit but not live in something that big…
I would hate to live in it too, but I would love to see it. 🙂
Wow, that’s amazing!
It sure is. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
That’s some palace.
Obsessive opulence but beautiful
Yes indeed, Paul. 🙂
It is indeed. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
That’s a beautiful palace place!
It is indeed. 🙂
That is a very impressive building! Ms. Sandee, do you think buildings can have nightmares about what they were used for?
Merlin
If they do this one is having nightmares. 🙂
That’s an amazing image!
I thought so too and I loved the history. 🙂
Wow, what a great shot. The grand castles of Europe sure are something to behold. It’s sad that a sub camp of Dachau was there/ I can’t even imagine,
I would love to see one in person. Sad past indeed. 🙂
What a gorgeous and peaceful looking place with such a gilded history. It does look like it could house the entire city!
It could house a lot of homeless folks. 🙂
What a beautiful picture and reflection. Thank you for sharing.
Don’t faint I’m actually wordless today
Hugs Cecilia
I saw that and I was a big shocked. I’m rarely wordless. Hugs. 🙂
That’s so beautiful Sandee! Have a wonderful Wednesday and week! Hugs! 🙂 <3
I thought so too. You have a wonderful Wednesday too. Hugs. 🙂
What an amazing photo with the reflection in the water. Happy Wednesday! 💖
Yes indeed, Eugenia. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
Wow…that is beautiful. Reflections in a pond, lake or even just a puddle can be so pretty.
Love the reflection too. 🙂
That is quite a magnificent structure. One has to wonder, are there rooms that the resident doesn’t see for several years and when they walk in, they see artwork they don’t even remember that they own? I think I would schedule an annual tour just to remind myself of what is under my roof.
I would think many. It’s huge. 🙂
WOW! What a grandiose castle!
Happy Wednesday, Sandee!
What I always think is how many folks work there to make it look the way it does. 🙂
Beautiful castle. XO
It is indeed. Big hugs, Ellen. 🙂
Stunning castle and a mixed history. Have a wonderful day filled with laughter!
Yes and yes. You, Russell and Miss Lucy have a wonderful day too. 🙂
What a beautiful castle…love the reflection!!
Me too. It’s so perfect. 🙂
Very impressive building, indeed. But from my perspective this kind of architecture is very cold.
It generates distancing and fear when I see it. Far away to be friendly. Even the trees are so orderly!
Thank you for sharing this new place for me. During this game I learn about the world!
All the best, Sandee! Happy WW and a fine week!
Cheers!
Most castles do that don’t they? Yes they do. All the best to you too, Suzana. 🙂
wow! what a perfect reflection!
I agree with you, Gigi. 🙂
A great castle!
Happy Wordless Wednesday, Sandee! ♥
I agree with you, Zine. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
An amazing place, it almost looks like a perfect set of teeth!
I agree with you, Keith. 🙂
Gorgeous castle!
It is indeed, Yvonne. 🙂
Stunning! I wonder how many cats they can fit in there?
A lot of cats. 🙂
Beautiful.

I agree, Regine. 🙂
Such a beautiful looking castle with exquisite surrounding gardens.
Can you imagine the staff this palace requires. 🙂
Not any more than I can imagine the utility bills! 🙃
impressive architecture. enjoy the rest of the week, Sandee.
I thought so too, Klara. You have a great rest of the week. 🙂
Gorgeous castle and an informative history/geography lesson too! Thanks, Sandee. Have a beautiful day! 💞
I love history. I always have. You have a beautiful day too, Bette. 🙂
That is a beautiful palace but has a sad past.
It sure does. I love learning about the history of places. 🙂
That’s really huge! The time we lived in Germany we went to Munich for the 1972 Olympics. We were there right before the massacre happened.
Hope your Wednesday is going good. <3
It is huge and what a history. 🙂
It’s certainly beautiful. Hugs!
It sure is. The work to keep it looking like that must be backbreaking. Hugs back. 🙂
Sandee,
If I were a kid and lived in this place, I’d roller skate through the rooms. Hmmm, who says I still can’t do this? Just suit me up with enough padding and helmet and I’ll be ready to roll…literally! 😀
I’d go with you. What a fun idea. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂
SchleiBheim Castle is impressive. This picture is beautiful with the reflection.
Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!
It sure is. Have a great day, Amila. 🙂
That’s a nice summer cottage
Only for the rich. Happy day. 🙂
Beautiful reflection of the castle, Sandee, to bad about its history, gave me the bumps🙀Pawkisses for a Happy Day from me and my Granny🐾😽💞
Sometimes beautiful things have a dark history. Pawkisses to you Little Binky. My best to your granny. 🙂
Lovely reflection on the water of the very opulent estate ~
Lots of love and hugs to you from me and Angel ~ Xox
Wishing you love and laughter in your days,

Sad history, but a beautiful place. The grounds are fabulous. 🙂
Concentration Camp? I wouldn’t be happy there because it is hard to concentrate when you’re a bird brain.
I wouldn’t allow you to be treated poorly. I love you, Kismet. 🙂
Such a beautiful place. It looks like that I messed up and posted twice. Sorry.
Not to worry, Patrick. I linked you so I’m at fault. 🙂
