WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.
For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.
Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.
Mount Fuji, Honshu Island (Japan)
Honshu, historically called Hondo, is the largest and most populous main island of Japan. It is located south of Hokkaidō across the Tsugaru Strait, north of Shikoku across the Inland Sea, and northeast of Kyūshū across the Kanmon Straits. The island separates the Sea of Japan, which lies to its north and west, from the North Pacific Ocean to the south and east. It is the seventh-largest island in the world, and the second-most populous after the Indonesian island of Java.
Honshu had a population of 104 million as of 2017, constituting 81.3% of the entire population of Japan, and is mostly concentrated in the coastal areas and plains. Approximately 30% of the total population resides in the Greater Tokyo Area on the Kantō Plain. As the historical center of Japanese cultural and political power, the island includes several past Japanese capitals, including Kyōto, Nara and Kamakura. Much of the island’s southern shore forms part of the Taiheiyō Belt, a megalopolis that spans several of the Japanese islands. Honshu contains Japan’s highest mountain, Mount Fuji, and its largest lake, Lake Biwa. Source: Wikipedia

Love the mountain in snow with the cherry blossom in the foreground. Mom has seen Mt Fuji many times when she used to be in Japan on layovers as a flight attendant, way before any of us were born.
It’s spring and winter rolled into one photograph. Oh you were a flight attendant. How wonderful for you. 🙂
None of us knew any of this, or that Mount Fuji could be covered in snow. Wow. We need to get out more. XOX Lucy, Xena and Chia
I need to get our more too. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂

I have to work hard to outdo you. You find the most wonderful photographs. 🙂
I’ve been to Japan about 9 years ago and my biggest dream was to see Mount Fuji. The weather was bad, it was snowing…. We went a few miles up, but had to stop at the first stop due to the snowfall. So no Mount Fuji. Very disappointed.
BUT THEN!!! On our flight back, the skies cleared and the captain nicely pointed out that there will be a beautiful view of Mount Fuji from the plain. And it was!! I got some stunning photos that I now will have to go look for.
Thanks for sharing and for hosting Wordless Wednesday.
Lots of Love,
