When our lawn mower broke and wouldn’t run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat, making beer.. Always something more important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.
When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed her a toothbrush.
I said, “When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway.” The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

Laughing out loud. 🙂 Great story. I hate to say it, but I love his idea, but the last sentence is also hilarious.
Have super happy Saturday Sandee.
"Huge hugs!"
Yep, he went way too far on this one and so did she. Huge hugs back. 🙂
Don't mess with momma. haha!
Have yourself a lovely day, Sandee! x0x0
It's not wise to mess with momma. 🙂
That is hysterical. Guess he got his just due. Hope he fixed the lawnmower. Have a great day Sandee, Zane and Little Bit.
When he heals up enough he'll fix the lawn mower. 🙂
He should have gotten a cow. The cow would eat the grass and therefore no need for a lawnmower.
Have a powerful sunny Saturday Sandee. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
Then there would be all that cow poop to clean up. 🙂
Well she definitately proved her point LOL y-)
Have a limplesstastic day Sandee :-h
She did indeed Steve. 🙂
He should have given her a hair dryer to clear the driveway.
Bwahahahahaha. I don't think even you would have done that to Mrs. Cranky. 🙂
heheheheh silly man- bet she gave him awash tub and washboard to do the laundry! Cheers!
Probably Kathe. He's not the brightest candle in the box is he. 🙂
Sounds like she hasn't a sense of humor. (this is Russell talking.)
He's right you know. I wouldn't have done this at all. I would have hired a lawn service to do the mowing. Just saying. 🙂
Sarcastic humor is not always appreciated. I'm sure his wife will always look at his limp and a little smile will come to her face. He will always look at her toothbrush and it bring a tear to his eye.
Yep, you're probably right here. 😉
A clever couple who where meant for each other. LOL
I'm guessing you're right about this. 🙂
I think he got what was coming his way and the fact he can walk after it is a bonus 🙂
A huge bonus Jen. 🙂
Guilt trips don't work on me either.

Good for you. Now watch over those eggs of yours. 🙂

It lives here too, but we don't hurt each other. Not good. 🙂

Gentle scritches to LB, and big hugs to you, honey…
If momma's not happy nobody is happy. 🙂
Oh my goodness….ROTFL!!! 🙂
Yep, he step into this one pretty deeply. 🙂
and he's lucky a limp is all he'll have 🙂
Pretty much. 🙂
Babe + scissors = kind words mean no injuries 😉 Even my pet rock knows that 'un.
You're smart Mike and so is Seymour. 🙂
And maybe you deserve one! Heeheehee!
Perhaps you're right. 🙂
Smart spouses!
Yes smart, and one with a limp. 🙂
Haha! Bet she didn't expect that XD
I don't think either one of them expected that. 🙂
Doesn't pay to get smart with women
I don't understand why my comment worked here but wouldn't work on Silly Sunday….
Maybe you were too silly for Sunday.
Could be Binky, but I doubt it. 🙂
At least he can still walk.
This is true Binky. 🙂
