I’m thankful that on Saturday I cried in front of a bunch of people because I was talking about the loss of our beloved Little Bit. It wasn’t the tears that make me thankful, it was the precious time we had with her. Not tears of joy, but thankfulness that we were lucky to share her life.
I’m thankful for our safe journeys to and from our destinations. We see so many accidents and are so very careful when we drive. There seems to be so much anger with some folks while they are driving.
I’m thankful that hubby and I made it though our law enforcement careers without much fanfare. We can’t imagine working in that field today with all the abuse and hatred shown to law enforcement by so many. It’s okay to be a thug, but not okay to protect and serve. I just don’t get that.
I’m thankful for living in a place where there is more good weather than bad. We have a couple months of winter and then spring is back and we start over with the good weather. Fall has some really great weather as does our spring.
I’m thankful that hubby and I enjoy so many like interests. Some marriages seem that both are not on the same page, but not even in the same book. That’s not the case with us.
What are you thankful for today?

As always, your thankful posts make me smile. I am glad that you and your hubby have such rich full lives together.
We do have rich full lives together. š
Beautiful post Sandee and I totally agree with what you say about law enforcement these days it's the same here too.
Have a thankfultastic day :-f
I'm so glad we are out of our careers. The world is going mad. š
A very beautiful thankful post, Sandee. Whenever I look around me, I am reminded to be thankful for even the little things that I have.
Your posts show thankful every single day. š
I am very glad my dad is a retired police officer. My oldest is wanting to major in criminal justice when he goes off to school, and that makes me nervous. It's a different world than when my dad was working.
Little Bit certainly brought you lots of joy. I'm glad you had that time with her.
I'd say, "enjoy your nice weather," but I have no doubt you will. š
It is a different world indeed. Not nearly as safe as it once was.
We so miss our Little Bit. š
I am thankful that my wife and I have our health. Recently we have seen several families receive the news that one of their members has an advanced stage of cancer and that time is limited. We have been blessed with good health for now and we do not take that lightly.
I know how you feel about losing a pet. One of the reasons we don't have a pet is because we don't believe the next one would ever be as good as the last one. Have a blessed week-end.
It's been ever so difficult losing Little Bit. We are both still so heart broken. š
Hubby and you are made for each other.
My son has shifted from IL Huntley to CA- Santiago recently. I am sure he will also enjoy his weather-friendly seasons henceforth.
Have a great Thursday!
Yes we were made for each other. I found my soul mate. š
I am so thankful for my health and my animals health too. I am thankful for all my blogging friends, especially Sandee and Zane. Friends are the greatest.
Awww, thanks Marg. You're a very good blogging buddy too. š
That's a great list of things to be thankful for, Sandee.
There are so many more things I'm thankful for. š
Oh that first story is so sweet. Our pets are family and the memories we have with them are so special. Happy Thursday my friend! What a great marriage you have š
Little Bit was a family member. We thought of her well being before ours. š
I'm thankful for just getting up every day and going to bed every night. I'm also thankful for the wife that God gave me. I give thanks for the beautiful woman that she is and she still with me.
Have a beautiful Thursday Sandee & Zane. See ya.

We are most lucky aren't we Paul. Yes we are. š
Just mention Kyla around here and tears start flowing.
I hear you. I cay all the time. š
I am thankful for my wonderful husband. I'm thankful for our good health, our happiness and serenity in our lives together. We truly are best friends and we recognize how lucky we are! I am also thankful for all of our good friends and family. I simply cannot complain! And last but not least- we are thankful for our sweet and loveable Lucy!
You and I are so alike in the marriage department. We are most fortunate. š
I'm always grateful for the continued health of me and my family. Today I'm especially grateful that my new two orchids are still alive. One whole day. As a recovering plant serial killer that's a big deal.
Drain them well when you water them. Keep them out of direct sunlight. Talk to them nicely. š
I'm thankful that Gibbs is not any bigger than he is. Otherwise when he sits on my desk while I'm trying to read blogs I would never see the screen š
Yes, but you'd let him too. We know that as well. š
Today I'm thankful for a dear friend's upcoming visit to her childhood home (my friend from Linden). She doesn't have much time left on this earth. They have a reunion party planned for her. Talking to her today was a treasure and I look forward to hearing about her visit when she gets back.
I am also thankful for the respect I have for law enforcement. Like you, I don't understand current attitudes. Glad you two tired before it got hairy. Hugs!
P.s. Thank you and Zane for your civil service.
I hope your friend has a wonderful visit to her childhood home. Prayers still in progress.
I too can't understand the current attitudes toward law enforcement. There are areas that cops don't even go into now. Perhaps that's the plan. Anarchy. š
You're most welcome Jean(ie). š
What a wonderful list of things to be thankful for. I especially loved your sentiments on having interests in common with Zane (ditto with my hubby) and crying happy tears about sharing time with your Little Bit (we've been fortunate to have had wonderful pets who brought us joy too).
We are so alike. It's a wonderful thing. We're together most of the time and get along so very well.
We miss our Little Bit so much. š
Police get such a bad rap it is sickening. Yes some are a bit abrupt, rude and bullies, might be because they do not deal with nice people most of the day.
You have no idea the people cops deal with. It's a tough job on a good day. Now it's open season. š
I agree that it's so odd police are deemed the bad guys sometimes. Seems like a lot of things are getting backwards in society. Makes me shake my head and wonder how it can even happen and be considered okay.
I don't like where things are going in our society. A little respect and love for others would be a far better approach. So much hate right now. š
My newest house to clean went well today, and for that i am very grateful indeed.
Congratulations on your newest job. More money is a good thing. š
I just love your thankful posts, you have such a beautiful spirit. Thankful I had the money to pay all of the bills we have that were due today š

You made my day Caren. Thank you so much. Love you. š
It's always such a special experience to have a pet, but it is so very hard to lose them.
Very hard to lose. We are still having a very hard time and we're guessing it will take a long time to ease some of this pain. š
I'm thankful a friend got a good health report from a biopsy.
I'm thankful that you and Zane are in my life.
Big hugs, honey..
Great news for your friend.
I'm thankful that you and Dick are in my life. š
Thankful for our online connection š
Me too Mike, and Seymour too. š
So sorry for your loss of Lil Bit!
It's sad the extra & unnecessary risks that law enforcement have to take today. Thank you & your hubby for your service!
I'm also thankful to have a husband that shares my interests .. and hoping that I'll be able to be thankful for "safe passages" in our future. Spring is almost here .. very thankful for that!
What a lovely comment. Thank you.
I just hope you get your baby back in the water soon. It's hard to enjoy here when she's in dry dock. š
