I’m thankful for the cooler weather. We were having a run of triple digit weather well into October. It’s still warm, but not so hot.
I’m thankful everyone enjoyed the three posts about our recent visitor from Australia. If you missed any of the three posts here are the links…The Auzzie Visit, The Auzzie Visit Finale and Message From Down Under. I’m also thankful for all the wonderful comments.
I’m thankful that we are going to our boat today to spend a long weekend. Reading and just enjoying the autumn weather is most delightful. Doing both on a boat is even better.
I’m thankful that it’s almost the change of watch for IOBG Delta District 19. It’s time for me to step down and take a breather. One more year and my 10 years of volunteering will be over. Hubby and I are both ready for that. It’s been enjoyable, but it’s time for others to bring their ideas to the table.
I’m thankful that I live in the greatest country in the world. There is much wrong here, but many are still trying to come to America. When I hear politicians complain about things I always say that millions upon millions would give anything to live in America. We can’t be all that bad.
I’m thankful for all my blogging buddies. There are many of you that I still want to meet and if you’re ever anywhere near the central valley of California let me know. There could be a boat ride and other fun stuff involved.
Lastly it’s the 11th annual Wombat Day over at Wombania. Wombat Day is held annually to honor wild wombats. It’s a day of chocolate, wine gums, fireworks, and good times. Happy Wombat Day!
So what are you most thankful for today?

OH yeah, it is Wombat Day. I'm headed over. 🙂 And I agree, I am thankful to live where I do.
I've been celebrating Wombat day for a very long time. 🙂
Nice post Sandee I am also thankful for where i live only one drawback …the British weather heheh!
Have a thankfultastic day Sandee g-)
I've heard about your weather. 🙂
I would have to agree with you. Yes, there's things wrong with the States, but it is an amazing country we live in. We visited lots of National Parks on our USA roadtrip and I was astounded by the sheer beauty of these sites. Such diverse landscapes and scenery.
I am also thankful that the temperatures have been dropping in southern Florida. So much more pleasant to be outdoors.
Have a great day and an even better weekend 🙂
We are indeed fortunate to live in America. 🙂
A festival to celebrate wombats? Yet another example of why America is awesome. There are many, many problems, but there are far more good things going on.
Have a marvelous weekend!
Binky has been a buddy for a very long time. 🙂
A wombat looks disturbingly like a cat. I'm highly suspicious. I am pretty sure they are trying to take over the world. s-)
Have yourself a mighty relaxing day, my friend! big hugs xoxo
Well, we know cats are, but wombats probably won't have a chance. 🙂
Great list, Sandee. I've never hear of a wombat. When I just googled it, I was shocked to see a ground animal. I expected something that flies. LOL
I am thankful for a successful summer of reaching my goals. I am thankful I have my good health back and that I have money in the bank.
Lots of wombats in Australia. 🙂
I am thankful for my health at the moment. And I am really thankful for my blogging buddies and also for all my many cats. Lots to be thankful for. Glad you are having a peaceful week end.
Health is always something to be thankful for. 🙂
I MUST get my butt to California so that I can meet you!!!!!!!!!!!!
xoxoxoxo
catchatwithcarenandcody
Yes, you need to do that Caren. 🙂
I;m thankful for being a Canadian except for the taxes and the low money. It's killing me when it's times to pay for my cruise. I'm very thankful for my wife and I'll say that many times until I die. My blogger friends helped me to realize that friends who you have never met can be better then those around you here.
Enjoy the entire Thursday Sandee and if I ever have the opportunity to get down to your area, I definitely will want a boat ride. See ya
Cruisin Paul
You'll get a boat ride too. Anytime Paul. 🙂
Wombat….:) oh…cool…
Good post…
Thank you, a boat ride will be great !
Wombats rock. 🙂
Great post.. I'm thankful that I woke up this morning. Others may not be quite as thankful for that.. 😉 I'm thankful that I am fortunate enough to live in these United States of America where, yes, it's not perfect but it is, in my opinion, the greatest country on the planet with some amazing people.. I'm thankful for healthy children and grandchildren. I'm thankful for my beautiful city and my wonderful church and all of the members in it.. And I'm thankful for you Sandee, for a little corner of sanity in an often times crazy world. 🙂
Thank you so much. What a lovely comment. 🙂
I'm thankful for Wombat Day and friends like you, Sandee!
Now let's have some cake!
You know I'm a big fan. Yes, let's have cake, and chocolate and wine gums. 🙂
Recently, I was talking to my husband about the plight of wombats and here you highlight it. Ahhh-mazing. Cheers to the wombats and to you. A boating weekend sounds like wicked fun. Enjoy.
Yep, I celebrate Wombat day every single year. 🙂
I'd hug a wombat today but I can't find one.
They aren't any around here that I know of. 🙂
I am thankful for pretty much the same things you listed…and very happy that I can say we have met you and Zane in real life. Wish there wasn't so many miles between us, however!
Sending big hugs, honey…
That was a wonderful week we all spent together wasn't it. Yes it was. 🙂
I love that you do these points because it makes me realize what I'm thankful for too! I'm sitting here listening to birdies through the open window with Angel beside me. I'm even thankful the heater is on because it's 51 outside!
Have fun on your boat! Scritches to Little Bit!
You're always thankful. It's all over every post you do. 🙂
Happy Wombat Day, and i am thankful for your very enjoyable posts!
Thank you my friend. 🙂
Nice post and the best way of thanking. Happy Wombat Day!
Have a great day!
Being thankful isn't hard to do. 🙂
Haha, well, happy Wombat Day! And I hope you have a great weekend relaxing on your boat.
It was a long weekend on the boat with lots of tears. Some happy tears, but most were tears from a broken heart. 🙂
Well if wombat day involves chocolate I'm in.
Lots and lots of chocolate and no calories. It's a calorie free day. 🙂
Wombats are so cute! Great post, Sandee, thank you so much for sharing. I am thankful for good friends, and this includes my blogging friends. 🙂
I've a friend in Australia that's going to send me a stuffed wombat (A toy not a real stuffed wombat). I can't wait. 🙂
Dear Sandee, Beautiful dear Sandee.
I am thankful for all the blessings that fill my days. xoxo Catherine
And there are so many blessing if we'll just take the time to recognize them. 🙂
Too many blessings to list. At the top is hubby and my girls.
I agree honey, I agree. 🙂
Such a nice to read post. I am glad things are going well. What's a wine gum? And Happy Wombat day to you too.
Candy, a wine gum is candy. You can read about them here: http://www.wombania.com/wine-gums.htm 🙂
Happy Wombat day! I think wombat is a very gentle and cute animal. I am thankful for where I live. Every nation has its wrongs but we are thankful to God for where we live.
They are gentle and very cute. 🙂
I'm thankful for the opposite Sandee. I'm thankful that it's warming up here after a rather cold winter & a cool start to Spring. Been out working in the garden today & the warm sunshine has been beautiful. I'm thankful that I live in a beautiful & peaceful place where I'm so blessed, especially when we see so many terrible things happening in some countries such as natural disasters, famine & war etc.
P.S. I'm going to start doing just regular type blog posts back on The Tony Files again. Just lost all interest in cartooning for the moment. Haven't drawn a new cartoon in ages. Just no longer motivated in that area as I've been putting more time into other areas of my life. Have a great weekend!!!.
I know you're coming out of winter and I know how great that is for me, so I'm guessing it's just as good for you. 🙂
