It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that Friday is the last yacht club function I’ll ever do. It’s just not the same club and we all know when it’s time to leave.
I’m thankful that I will no longer be the treasurer. I will have time to do other wonderful things.
I’m thankful that hubby and I have all our Christmas shopping done for the great grand-babies. I hate shopping on or after Black Friday.
I’m thankful for all the new blogging buddies I’ve collected this year and all the blogging buddies that have been with me for years. You are all so cherished.
What are you thankful for today?
Lukcy you having all the Christmas shopping done. I just don’t enjoy shopping for other people at all any more. I never know what to get. I also hate the crowds.
I hear you. Without a list I’m not shopping. I hate the crowds. 🙂
I too do not like shopping especially when there is a crowd. I am thankful for my blogging friends too.
I’m not a fan of shopping at all. My granddaughter sends me a list and I go to Amazon and get what’s on the list. 🙂
You are lucky to have your shopping done. The end of the year is flying by so fast, and I am certainly not ready for Christmas yet. Good luck with your new adventures, I hope they are as or more fulfilling than the ones you already had at the yacht club.
We are old and shopping isn’t in our wheelhouse anymore. Hate it in fact. Happy Thursday, my friend. 🙂
I am thankful that tomorrow all of my packages will be mailed off and I’m thankful for Amazon. Amazon is a life saver for me every year! – I can’t wait to hear what you do with your freed up time from yacht club. The world is your oyster, yes? 🙂 – Always thankful for you my wonderful friend. xoxo <3
We are fans of Amazon too. Did all my Christmas shopping here. I’m thankful for you too, Karen. Love you bunches. 🙂
Love the snowmen on your blog cover! Life is always changing and evolving, not always in ways we like. I’m sure the yacht club was a wonderful part of your life for a long time, but it has changed and you will find something even better to replace it.
It was a fun place for us for a long time. It’s not anymore. It’s time to go. 🙂
We are so thankful for you and Zane. And we sure thank Zane for his comment on Pumpkin. Hope you two have one terrific day.
He’s comments when I tell him he needs to comment on your blog. He’s not a blogger. 🙂
Mom won’t shop on or after Black Friday either. The Christmas shoppers are too rude and take all of the fun out of it. Thankfully, her shopping is almost done!
I hear you. We do have some birthday shopping to do. 🙂
I love having you as a blogging buddy, Sandee!! Thank you for following me from Blogger to WordPress. 🤗 ((Hugs))
I love having you for a blogging buddy too, Michelle. We’re good friends and I like that. 🙂
When you leave the yacht club, don’t forget to take the treasury with you.
I won’t do that, but I wish I knew who’s going to do that work. Not me. 🙂
I have finished all my shopping too and I am thankful that I could do it without braving the crowds thanks to my computer.
Yes indeed, Jan. I feel the same. Happy Thursday. 🙂
I’m so thankful looking forward to Christmas and also thankful for another cruise. Hooray Sandee. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
Enjoy your Christmas, Paul. Christmas joy is a good thing. 🙂
Sorry the yacht club is not the same. I wish my shopping was done, but I hve a long way to go. XO
It’s okay, Ellen. We always know when it’s time to go. 🙂
Those are nice thankfuls but it’s too bad the yacht club sailed up the creek without the paddle. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
It’s been there before and it will get better at some point. It’s the way of things. Some leadership gets it and others tear it down. 🙂
Even though I had moved out, I remember feeling sad when my parent’s church group stopped their monthly gatherings. I always felt included when my folks hosted. ~grin~ Your list is so positive. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day, my dear! Oh, and the cat with the ornament is gorgeous.
I try for positive. It’s a better way to roll. Happy Thursday, my friend. 🙂
I do all of my shopping online. I use to brave the black Friday crowds but not anymore. I’m thankful for my blogging buddies and I have met so many nice people on WordPress and other sites, as well. Sorry to hear about the yacht club but I feel certain you will find enjoyment elsewhere. Happy Thursday!
We do all our shopping on line too, Eugenia. I can’t take the packed stores and the long lines. 🙂
Oh yes I too am thankful to have gifts purchased and hope to get our tree you this weekend.
I had a freak accident with my right thumb Sunday before T’giving. Cut it really, bled like a stuck pig, and then It was pretty much useless for about 7 days. I have a new appreciation for furries w/o thumbs. LOL
Hugs cecilia
It’s good to have things almost done with Christmas preparations. Good for you. Hugs back my friend. 🙂
I’m thankful that Radar’s current vet is as easy to talk to as our regular vets. Once he’s free of the heartworms, and we can officially adopt him, Radar will be going to see our regular vet. BUT his current vet and staff love him so I’ll probably bring him over to say hello now and then.
I’m glad Radar is about to have a new forever home with you. 🙂
Thankful for an amazing husband! We celebrated 54 yesterday… He signed the card-“Let’s make it another 54–oh, hell, we’ll make it forever!” He’s a sweetie and I’m a lucky gal.
Happy Anniversary, Bette. You have a great husband like I do. 🙂
All best wishes as you begin a new boating chapter. Kudos for having your holiday shopping done! We’re a bit behind but hope to get things squared away soon.
We are going to enjoy doing and going where we want. We’re both ready. 🙂
My BIL was the commodore for his club for a year, and I know he found it interesting but was happy for that year to end too! I’ve volunteered for several different animal rescue groups; there is a time to pitch in, and a time to step away. Each of us know in our hearts what is best.
It’s time for us to step away. We should have several years ago. 🙂
without a shopping list I am like a sail boat without a sail…..adrift! Enjoy your day! xoxoxo
Me too. I’m to old to know what the younger crowd wants. 🙂
we are thankful for YOU!! Enjoy your time now that you won’t be saddled with those responsibilities! xoxo
Like you say, it’s time to move on and enjoy life without being treasurer at the yacht club.
Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
Yes indeed. I’m ready. 🙂
Glad things are going good for you.
I’m glad it was a really pretty day here (except for the wind) – at least it was warm. We finally got started on shopping! <3
We are having a pretty nice day today too. We did have a bit of sunshine and it’s not raining. There is another storm coming in tomorrow. 🙂
Hooray for being ready for Christmas! Yes, there are seasons for everything, i know you will continue to enjoy your cruises but without all of the stuff that makes it become a chore instead of a joy.
It’s going to be far more fun for me. Far more. 🙂
I am jealous you have your shopping done! I am about 1/4 done, but I am solidly working at it. I m grateful to at least have the means to do the shopping 🙂
Happy Holidays!
Yes having the means to do the shopping is indeed a blessing. 🙂
And I’m thankful for you, Sandee, you are truly a ray of sunshine. It’s good to know when it’s time to leave and I’m sure there is so much you want to and will do. I hit Black Friday and whatever Saturday and Sunday were. I even got a great deal which arrived today on Cyber Monday. I have most of my shopping done which is unusual for me this “early” before Christmas. I’m going to get presents for everyone from my mother (including my own) in the next few days. Of course the presents are lottery tickets, so it shouldn’t be too tough (:
Thank you so much, Jeanna. What a lovely compliment. I’m glad you have almost all your shopping done. It’s a good feeling. The stress this time of year can be awful. I try to avoid that stress. 🙂
So many wonderful thankfuls today…I’m sorry about your club, but when it’s not fun anymore, it’s time to leave.
Happy almost weekend!
Don’t be. We’ve watched it die for a long time. Someone will come along and make it whole again. We’ve already helped it revive so it’s someone else that needs to step up to the plate. 🙂
Mom likes to get her shopping done early too – she still has a few things to pickup, and then there is all the baking – we hear peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate are on the list – no chocolate for us, but we are hoping for a few licks of pb.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Our greats have their birthdays the end of this month and the first part of next month. Shopping for that hasn’t happened yet. Hopefully we can do it online. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
I read what you are thankful for. Time for a change. I left some things this year to pursue other interests too. I am thankful my colonoscopy and endoscopy is over today!
I thankful those two things are over for you too. I had both of mind done earlier this year. 🙂
Wonderful list of gratefuls and ‘know when to leave is key.’ Good for you ~ enjoy ^_^
Xox to you from and Zoe ~ ^^ ~ Weather is delaying my Xmas spirit I think ~ send me healing wishes ~ thanks ^^
Happy Moments to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Yes we finally did what we should have done two years ago.. Oh well. Happy moments to you and Ms. Zoe. 🙂
I really don’t enjoy Christmas shopping unless it’s after Thanksgiving. I am lucky to have a flexible schedule so I can time my shopping for the not-busy times! It usually takes me two or three trips to get everything I’m looking for (short attention span, ha ha).
I’m not a shopper. Have never liked shopping. Oh well it’s all good. 🙂
