Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that Friday is the last yacht club function I’ll ever do. It’s just not the same club and we all know when it’s time to leave.

I’m thankful that I will no longer be the treasurer. I will have time to do other wonderful things.

I’m thankful that hubby and I have all our Christmas shopping done for the great grand-babies. I hate shopping on or after Black Friday.

I’m thankful for all the new blogging buddies I’ve collected this year and all the blogging buddies that have been with me for years. You are all so cherished.

What are you thankful for today?

Lukcy you having all the Christmas shopping done. I just don’t enjoy shopping for other people at all any more. I never know what to get. I also hate the crowds.

    • Sandee says:

I’m not a fan of shopping at all. My granddaughter sends me a list and I go to Amazon and get what’s on the list. 🙂

  2. Rosey Marie says:

You are lucky to have your shopping done. The end of the year is flying by so fast, and I am certainly not ready for Christmas yet. Good luck with your new adventures, I hope they are as or more fulfilling than the ones you already had at the yacht club.

I am thankful that tomorrow all of my packages will be mailed off and I’m thankful for Amazon. Amazon is a life saver for me every year! – I can’t wait to hear what you do with your freed up time from yacht club. The world is your oyster, yes? 🙂 – Always thankful for you my wonderful friend. xoxo <3

    • Sandee says:

We are fans of Amazon too. Did all my Christmas shopping here. I’m thankful for you too, Karen. Love you bunches. 🙂

  4. My GBGV Life says:

Love the snowmen on your blog cover! Life is always changing and evolving, not always in ways we like. I’m sure the yacht club was a wonderful part of your life for a long time, but it has changed and you will find something even better to replace it.

    • Sandee says:

It’s been there before and it will get better at some point. It’s the way of things. Some leadership gets it and others tear it down. 🙂

Even though I had moved out, I remember feeling sad when my parent’s church group stopped their monthly gatherings. I always felt included when my folks hosted. ~grin~ Your list is so positive. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day, my dear! Oh, and the cat with the ornament is gorgeous.

I do all of my shopping online. I use to brave the black Friday crowds but not anymore. I’m thankful for my blogging buddies and I have met so many nice people on WordPress and other sites, as well. Sorry to hear about the yacht club but I feel certain you will find enjoyment elsewhere. Happy Thursday!

Oh yes I too am thankful to have gifts purchased and hope to get our tree you this weekend.
I had a freak accident with my right thumb Sunday before T’giving. Cut it really, bled like a stuck pig, and then It was pretty much useless for about 7 days. I have a new appreciation for furries w/o thumbs. LOL
    Hugs cecilia

  8. Ducky's & Radar's Mom says:

I’m thankful that Radar’s current vet is as easy to talk to as our regular vets. Once he’s free of the heartworms, and we can officially adopt him, Radar will be going to see our regular vet. BUT his current vet and staff love him so I’ll probably bring him over to say hello now and then.

Thankful for an amazing husband! We celebrated 54 yesterday… He signed the card-“Let’s make it another 54–oh, hell, we’ll make it forever!” He’s a sweetie and I’m a lucky gal.

My BIL was the commodore for his club for a year, and I know he found it interesting but was happy for that year to end too! I’ve volunteered for several different animal rescue groups; there is a time to pitch in, and a time to step away. Each of us know in our hearts what is best.

Glad things are going good for you.
I’m glad it was a really pretty day here (except for the wind) – at least it was warm. We finally got started on shopping! <3

    • Sandee says:

We are having a pretty nice day today too. We did have a bit of sunshine and it’s not raining. There is another storm coming in tomorrow. 🙂

  12. Jen says:

I am jealous you have your shopping done! I am about 1/4 done, but I am solidly working at it. I m grateful to at least have the means to do the shopping 🙂

    Happy Holidays!

  13. Jeanna says:

And I’m thankful for you, Sandee, you are truly a ray of sunshine. It’s good to know when it’s time to leave and I’m sure there is so much you want to and will do. I hit Black Friday and whatever Saturday and Sunday were. I even got a great deal which arrived today on Cyber Monday. I have most of my shopping done which is unusual for me this “early” before Christmas. I’m going to get presents for everyone from my mother (including my own) in the next few days. Of course the presents are lottery tickets, so it shouldn’t be too tough (:

    • Sandee says:

Thank you so much, Jeanna. What a lovely compliment. I’m glad you have almost all your shopping done. It’s a good feeling. The stress this time of year can be awful. I try to avoid that stress. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Don’t be. We’ve watched it die for a long time. Someone will come along and make it whole again. We’ve already helped it revive so it’s someone else that needs to step up to the plate. 🙂

  14. The OP Pack says:

Mom likes to get her shopping done early too – she still has a few things to pickup, and then there is all the baking – we hear peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate are on the list – no chocolate for us, but we are hoping for a few licks of pb.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    • Sandee says:

Our greats have their birthdays the end of this month and the first part of next month. Shopping for that hasn’t happened yet. Hopefully we can do it online. Scritches to the pups. 🙂

I really don’t enjoy Christmas shopping unless it’s after Thanksgiving. I am lucky to have a flexible schedule so I can time my shopping for the not-busy times! It usually takes me two or three trips to get everything I’m looking for (short attention span, ha ha).
