Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

Today I’m thankful for my home. It is a peaceful place. Hubby and I both came from homes filled with conflict. We don’t allow conflict here.

I’m thankful I have a place to sleep each night. Living in California there are homeless camps all over the place. No matter where you drive you’ll find tents and trash.

I’m thankful hubby and I are physically able to do the things we want to do. It is such a blessing.

What are you thankful for today?

We always love what you have to say because we can tell you are truly happy in your life right now. That is something to be thankful for. Living in CA can be rough, so you are lucky.

Wonderful things to be thankful for. It is sad that there are so many homeless in this country. I don’t see as many in Mass. because of the cold winters. I know there are some in cities though.

You know, I sorta think of The ‘O’ Cats are homeless people! Which is why I stress so much to want them to come inside, but they really don’t want to. I’ll keep trying, but it’s MY problem, not theirs. Homeless people have no simply, quick cure; there are many, many reasons why they are out there. It’s complicated, and we as a nation need to step up our game, show kindness, and strive to help them.

They are, but when they have folks like you to look after them they aren’t really homeless. They know you’re there for them. 🙂

So much to be thankful for!
I’ve not been to California but I do feel sad for those without homes. Even in my own back yard, I know many who struggle to even keep a roof over their heads. Years ago, we lost our home to foreclosure, but even during that time we were never without a safe place to rest our heads each night.

The state of California is so sad. And drug companies are a big cause from what I understand. Disturbed folks were lured out for medicinal psych studies and then dumped when the money dried up. Ugh… So glad you and hubby are content and well!

I second all of your thankfulness.
    Camping:
When my daughter was in Jr. Scouts they were going to Camp Mary Atkinson to spend the night..in rustic cabins. She was excited until she found out they would all be digging their ‘facilities’ in the ground.
I’m very thankful for indoor plumbing. LOL

It good to be thankful for whatever you’re thankful for. It changes each day and that’s a good thing. Happy Thursday to you too. 🙂

Glad to know life is treating you well, Sandee. How sad about the homeless situation in California. Home, hubby and (mostly) good health are big on my gratitude list also. Happy Thursday!

What wonderful thankfuls! Our home is similar, both from conflict filled homes and we do not allow conflict in our home, it makes home a true sanctuary, doesn’t it? Okay, there is the occasional wappy-paw, but only feline, never human – MOL!

Sandee, you have terrific thankfuls this week. Every city has homeless people, but the numbers in California are staggering. It makes me sad whenever I think about it or see photos. Kitty kisses from Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and hugs from me. Janet

    • Sandee says:

California used to be such a wonderful state. It isn’t anymore. I’m to old to leave and my family is here. if I were young I’d be gone. Kisses to all the kitties and a big hug to you. 🙂

We noticed that when we visited LA this year about the camps, they were everywhere! It was the same in Paris though too. It breaks my heart that there are so many people displaced for whatever reason.

Because of this I too am grateful for what I have. Thanks my friend for these good reminders.

    • Sandee says:

It’s really bad here. San Francisco is suffering because of all the homeless. Many don’t want to go there anymore and the conventions have all pulled out. 🙂
