It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
Today I’m thankful for all the past and present loves in my life. There have been so many and many are no longer with me anymore. My grandparents, my parents, aunts and uncles, and many others.
There are many friends that have left and I miss them so. As we get older we seem to lose more and more and far too often.
I’m thankful for all the fur-babies that I have had over the years. They have all brought such wonderful memories. I miss them all too.
What I’m saying is love those that are still with you. Let them know how much they mean to you. I’ll do the same.
Remember Me Thursday
Remember Me Thursday® is a global awareness campaign uniting individuals and pet adoption organizations around the world as an unstoppable, integrated voice for orphan pets to live in forever homes, not die waiting for them.
On September 26, 2019, the entire world will share the importance of pet adoption, and shine a light on all orphan pets waiting in shelters and rescues.
What are you thankful for today?
You are so right about letting people know what they mean to you.
You need to do it when you can. Not regret you didn’t when it’s too late. 🙂
Life is a precious thing that can disappear in a heartbeat. It’s important to cherish the time we have with the ones we love.
Yes it can and don’t let the good things pass you by. 🙂
That’s such a beautiful message! Thanks for sharing.
You’re most welcome, Viola. I’m thankful I found you. 🙂
That was really beautiful Sandee. You were a blessed and still are blessed – gal. I have a lot to be thankful for too – this week I was thinking as unexpected bills came in – so did unexpected checks. I didn’t make money – but God provided ‘just enough’.
Oh how wonderful. When the money comes with the unexpected bills it’s a true blessing. 🙂
In the often insane world we live in today it is those we love that make it joyful. There are so many forces trying to take it all away but those we love and our way of life is worth fighting for.
I will not allow those forces to take away my joy. Never. 🙂
Lovely message, Sandee! Thank you for sharing.
You’re most welcome, Eugenia. 🙂
😊
I am thankful we found each other Sandee.
Hugs Cecilia
I am thankful we found each other too, Cecilia. Madi brought us together. 🙂
You are a blessing to know, Sandee! <3 ((Hugs))
So are you, Michelle. So are you. Hugs back. 🙂
Sandee, I’m thankful for my friend Al. I knew Al when I was 15 year old and him 20. He worked with my dad, had dinner with us but after he disappeared to start his job as an engineer. Later we met each other when he decided to live in Amherstburg. We became very good friends, visiting each other twice a week, going out for dinner, golfing and many other things. We played pool twice a week. Al started shaking and eventually we found out he had Parkinson’s disease. He’s 75 years old, has Parkinson’s and dementia to the point he doesn’t even know anymore. I thank God that Al was and still is in my life.
Cruisin Paul
I know how much Al means to you, Paul. You’ve talked about him for years. 🙂
Having folks in your life that you love and care so much for is amazing. It does give you great memories. So do the adorable furs that come into our life. I have loved my furs as much as my family I have lost. But then comes the bittersweet of loving those folks and furs, them leaving us. It hurts so bad. Having lost a good friend, mom and moms fur in a yr put me in a state for sure, but I know that they are in a better spot.
I hear you. The circle of life can be hard at times, but the love is a wonderful byproduct. 🙂
Spay and neuter, and RESCUE!
Yes, yes and yes. 🙂
Yes, let everyone know how much you can, it makes the hearts smile. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Yes indeed, Brain. Thank you for hosting Thankful Thursday. 🙂
What a beautiful post♥
Thank you, Molly. I love you very much. 🙂
I am thankful for a day that reminds people there are so many animals in shelters needing homes. We hope some go home and make families very happy today! Luke’s Mama was in a high-kill shelter just before giving birth to her pups – I’m thankful someone got her and her pups out of there, so we and others can now enjoy their love.
I agree, Jan. Some of them are lucky and many are not. So sad. 🙂
It is good to remember what we are thankful for, and the Remember Me Thursday, adopt an animal day is wonderful. <3
Yes on both counts, Barbara. 🙂
Speak when your heart says “Speak”……..
Absolutely, Kathe. Love you, Russell and Miss Lucy. 🙂
You are a treasure ~ got your priorities straight ~ lots of blessing for you and hugs from Me and Zoe ^_^
Happy Day to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thank you, Carol. It’s taken me many years to find the right path. Happy day to you and Ms. Zoe. 🙂
Wise words, may you always be blessed.
Thank you. I had a lot of rough spots in my younger years. 🙂
What a beautiful post today, and wonderful advice!
When you get older you learn what is important and what’s not so important. 🙂
Thankful for our fur-babies too… Missing them.
I agree, Bette. Fur-babies are the best. I miss mine too. 🙂
Love is the main thing, so i am also thankful for plenty of love from family, friends and pets.
Yes indeed, my friend. We’re both on the same page here. 🙂
today we are primarily thankful for our crazy Cody (you wouldn’t have known that this morning if you heard me screaming at him because he kept tripping me in his manic quest for more food)…but………..I love that crazy boy who is a great brother to Dakota and gives us so much love and many, many laughs (along with the screaming) lol. xoxoxo
I know you love your boys. They do have their moments though. It’s the way of things. 🙂
Love is such a crucial part of all our lives, especially that unconditional love we get from our pets and hopefully our families. Mom didn’t get that from her parents, but she is super thankful for her paternal grandparents. She always had their love and support. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I had a very volatile childhood. I left at 16 because I didn’t think I’d survive till my 18th birthday. Love to all. 🙂
It’s always good to experience gratitude for good friends.
Yes it is, my friend. 🙂
Hear, hear for adopting pets! That is how we have added all of our furry family members to our crew. My kids paw-sitively could not live without Eddie. He is literally the best “troubled” dog we ever brought home!
Same here. They need us the most. They know when they have it made and act accordingly. 🙂
