I’m thankful that hubby and I have a comfortable home to live in. A bed to sleep in and central heat and air to be comfortable year around.
I’m thankful that we can buy and cook our food in our kitchen and have a place to eat together each day.
I’m thankful that we have showers to keep ourselves clean and a washer and dryer to keep our bedding and clothes clean.
Hubby and I made a trip to check out the new homeless camp under the 9th street bridge. It was most disheartening. I came away feeling very badly for those that were there, but ever so thankful for the many blessings we have.

Seeing that tent city makes me realize how fortunate I am to have a roof over my head and a steady income to pay my bills. It’s very sad that there is a need for that many tents for homeless people.
You are fortunate, Ann. I’m happy your mortgage is paid for too. That’s a big deal. 🙂

We have a lot to be thankful for as we have a wonderful home, and lots of pets don’t.

We have plenty of problems with this house, yet it is home and it is mostly functional and we are very grateful.

We are so thankful for a roof over our head and heat and air. We would all be melted in little puddles without the air conditioning. Sandee, you and Zane have a most wonderful day.

I appreciate and am thankful for the things we enjoy everyday that others may never dream of. Thankful that God has provided for our daily needs and more than we needed.

After the 2008 downturn, many have realized that we could be a short step from losing everything. Enjoying what we have, and working to keep it but enjoying the ride is paramount.
Any of us could be a short step away. An illness could do our finances in. I watched that happen with my parents. 🙂

I’m thankful that tomorrow won’t be Thankful Thursday any more butt will be TGIF.
TGIF is always a welcomed day. Then it’s the weekend. 🙂
We often take so much for granted in this great country. We are also thankful for our military that we don’t have to speak Japanese, German, or Russian.
Yes we do and we shouldn’t. This is a great country with many possibilities. 🙂
The misery of those less fortunate reminds me to stop whinging on about minor inconveniences. Gratitude is the pathway to truly being happy, not the other way around.

I am thankful for so many things- my husband, our neighbors and friends who add so much to our well being.

While it is often a difficult lesson to learn, we could all take notes from the apostle Paul who said, “…for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content…” We may not like the situation that life has brought our way but we don’t have to look very far to find someone living out a much more difficult set of circumstances. I am blessed beyond anything I ever dreamed and thankful to the Creator for His provisions. Have a most blessed week.

It always makes me sad seeing the homeless. When we go to Lions games there are a lot of them in the street trying to collect money. It’s sad. I am thankful that I am not in much pain after my surgery yesterday. Wooo hooo! (Oh and I am thankful my doctor is a MAJOR hottie!) So much so, that my husband said when I was given the drugs to put me to sleep, as they were wheeling me away, I said to the girl who was wheeling me (her name was Nicole), “Nicole, do you know that Dr. such-and-such is a major HOTTIE?” (I have ZERO recollection about saying this…….and there I said his last name. Thankfully I had told my husband before that I thought the doctor was hot lol. I just can’t believe that was what I said when they put me under!! I am wondering what I said during the procedure?????? (they had me in twilight and I could hear conversation) I also remember hearing someone talk about QVC and I asked them if they watch In The Kitchen With David (one of my favorites on that network). OMG!!!!!
We say all kinds of weird things when we’re in la-la land. They know everyone does this and probably don’t bother to worry about what we are saying. They probably just laugh at us. It’s all good. 🙂
We have so much to be thankful for – we too have a wonderful home and a super family. We are thankful this week for the wonderful people who are working in Kansas City to build tiny homes for the homeless veterans. The project has been so successful that it is now going to expand to other areas.

Yes, those are good things to have. We were stuck in traffic because of an accident and I watched folks carrying out load after load of laundry from the laundromat. I remember those days. 🙂
All good things to remember to be thankful for, but mostly we take for granted. I’m happy our A/C is working good (knock wood) as it is so hot here today.

My washing machine makes me so happy. I do 2 to 3 loads a day and always think about the time before them and how much work it was for big families like mine.
Yes, I am so happy for that too. Lots of work done without ever leaving our homes. 🙂
Indeed. Even when we are in need, there is still SO much to be thankful for. My heart goes out to our homeless population. In this heat, I can’t even imagine what they must be experiencing.

Heartbreaking isn’t it? The time I spent in California, I noticed the extreme gap between the “haves and have nots.” It was very hard to see. My prayers are with those who are far less fortunate than we! Love to you & yours friend. ♥
