Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week.

Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Today I’m thankful for the warmer weather and the ability to boat more. There is a term boaters use in the winter called ‘boat cold’. You’ve not been cold until you spend a few days on a boat in the winter. Even with heat you still feel cold. It just seeps into everything and everywhere.

I’m thankful that this coming weekend we have another cruise to our home port. We’ll have a huge picnic and get our boats inspected to make sure they are as safe as they can be. Our mantra for boating is safety first.

What are you thankful for today?

That boat cold term makes sense to me. There are times when it’s raining and even though the temperature may be warm it feels cold because it so damp out.
    Enjoy your cruise this weekend

I know of places like that, but not around here. We don’t have to store our boats on land during the winter here. 🙂

Ohhhh I can only imagine how cold “boat cold” must be. We have lots of humidity in the winter and that is cold enough being on a boat must be 87 xs more cold.
I’m thankful my two favorite young folks are coming for a visit

You can be cold in other places, but getting on a boat sitting in cold water is mighty cold. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂

When our power went out a couple of March’s ago, I’m thinking that the cold we experienced would have been ‘boat cold’, even though we aren’t on the water, but it was pretty damp!

Okay Baby Girl, you have just got to take tons of pictures for me. I’m not a boat person, and if I was I would need to see land. I don’t like the thought of all water and no where to go catch my drift? (snicker) Anyway, I’ll tell you what I’m thankful for and that is meeting you. You have restored my faith in mankind for sure. There are still good people out there and baby girl you are one of them. Thank you for being you! You have a great time (you & the Mr.), be careful, be safe, be aware of your surroundings and most of all DON’T WORRY…… BE HAPPY!!! Love you girl~ Gigantic Hugs… don’t forget my pictures… and a full detailed report on this cruise business. I personally just love the sound of it. HAVE TONS OF FUN!!! LOVE U GIRL!!!! HUGS

Yes, I’m thankful the weather has finally turned warmer. Although Mother Nature did have a hissy fit a couple weekends ago with snow showers. Annnndddd……..our lows are dipping back into the 30s until Monday. But other than that, the days have been gloriously warm and I’ve thrown open the windows for the past few days. xoxoxo

I’m happy it’s a nice day, even if it is a bit cooler. Yesterday was hot, and so windy the sand blew turning the sky brown. So, yay for the calm breeze today.
Happy Thursday & happy cruising! <3

We have had some very nice weather, but no boat:( Now the cold is back, but we think it will be short-lived. We are thankful for all the beauty Mother Nature brings in Spring.

Getting out on the boat sounds so wonderful! Enjoy!!
Hubby used to have a fishing boat and I remember some cool, damp mornings spent out there, waiting for the sun to come up to warm us up! 🙂

You do what you need to do. We’re having a great time. First wave of work is done and now it’s time to relax for the rest of the day. 🙂

I enjoyed reading all the comments. Now, I forgot what I was going to say!! Oh..that’s right, I’m just glad it’s warming up finally. Window whiffies just aren’t the same without smelling flowers along the breezes. Boat cold? I’m cold just reading your description!!! – Tom x

Joining you from Thankful Thursday. I am thankful that I am inside today, since it keeps alternating from sun to blizzards of flurries. Oh, and I have Miss Josie snuggled up beside me to keep me warm!
