Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

I’m thankful that we have a baby girl on the way. They induced at midnight last night, and said it could take up to 12 hours for the meds to kick in, but our new little one should be here today. 🙂

I was raised in a household of negativity; no achievement was good enough, no test score high enough. As an adult, it’s taken me awhile to realize that I can react to the world in any way that I want, and I do NOT WANT negativity.

I was raised in the same household. My father could and did suck the happy out of everything. We chose a different path. It’s a good thing. 🙂

I’m glad you kitties are doing well. The sun is shining here and it does such good to my mood. Glad the swelling in your moms foot is going down. 🙂

All excellent examples of thankfulness. The first one resonates with me a lot. I’m doing a Genesis study and we’re into the dysfunction of the Abraham/Isaac/Jacob family and their struggles with discontentment. Take care and have a great weekend. xoxo

A great thing to study. Been going on since the beginning of time. You have a great weekend too, Lisa. 🙂

Thank you so much. We just need to have more thankful in our lives. Groaning about things doesn’t help one bit. 🙂

We did have a wonderful day yesterday. Had to take the car in as I collected a huge nail in my tire during one of my travels. Oh well, I’m safe. 🙂

You’ve had some rough spots of late, Mike. Just hang in there and do what they want you to do so you can go home. 🙂

I’m thankful that the Lord gave me the chance to breathe and live. I’m also thankful to the Lord for given me eyes to read such beautiful quotes that I know comes from the heart & such great friends to share my life and they share their lives with me. Take care my friend taking a few days off. HUGS, me

Loved the thoughts/quotes you chose. They are true, but very few people think about acting grateful and it’s disheartening how many display a sense of entitlement instead. I pray that this improper reaction will get a reality check.

There is so much to be said for earning what yo have. There is great pride in that, but you and I both know that first hand. 🙂

I love these quotes. the one “if you concentrate on what you don’t have, you’ll never have enough” resonated with me because I know someone who complains a lot about what they don’t have but when I look at her life, she seems to me to have a lot of riches–her grown-up kids are lovely –no drugs or crime and they have given her great grandkids and they love her — all of which a lot of people don’t have. She’s with a great guy. They have a nice home and enough money. yet she doesn’t see it and makes herself unhappy. It’s sad. And I’ve learned a long time ago, you can’t make someone see what’s right in front of them. I’m happy and I don’t have a quarter of what she has but it’s okay with me. I have a good life. I feel lucky. Knock on wood.
