Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful we’ve had a lot of rain. It has cleared the smoky air and helped put out the fires. Fresh air is wonderful after weeks and weeks of forest fire smoke.

I’m thankful that we are all done with Christmas shopping. It’s always such a relief.

I’m thankful that today there is sunshine. After all the rain it’s good to see a beautiful blue sky and the sun.

I’m thankful for all of my visitors. You’re the reason I keep blogging. Thank you!

What are you thankful for today?

I’m thankful for a little cold weather because it reminds me how fortunate I am to be back home where it’s not all that cold after all in the winter months. Even the little cold snaps are too cold for me, but if I put in perspective, I’m pretty lucky. It’s 23 degrees where my mom lives.

That is a great thankful list, Sandee. 😊

I am grateful for food in the house, the ability to cook, and for people that will eat my cooking.

I am also thankful for my Bible and all that it represents. It brings me a smile for many reasons. One reason is a mistake that I made it it. David gave me this Bible back in 1985, the year after we got married. I was trying to learn calligraphy at the time. I decided to fill in the family pages using calligraphy. It was going perfectly until I realized that I had written 1985 instead of 1984 for our wedding date. But, boy, was that a beautiful 5! 😊

    Have a blessed weekend!

Me too, Darla. When I switched from Blogspot to WordPress I found lots of very cool people. You have a blessed day too. 🙂

Wow, I guess there is a reason to be glad we have an abundance of rain.
I am thankful that you continue blogging so I can visit you everyday, my blogging buddy!
I am also thankful we will be able to go to Florida to see friends & relatives over Christmas.

    Merry Christmas!! ((Hugs))

I hope to have some posts scheduled for next week even though I will be on vacation.

I’m always thankful just to be still alive at 69 years old but I’m thankful with my wife especially. She’s my rock. I’m thankful with my cruisin which I’ll be on Jan. 18, 2019 and after meeting with my travel agent to pick up my cruisin papers, my wife & I have planned next years cruise.
One other thankful is, having to get back with you Sandee. They say that Christmas time is a happy time. I agree.
    See ya.

    Cruisin Paul

I’ll enjoy all your pictures when you return from your cruise. I know how you both love to cruise. I too am happy we’re back together, Paul. I really did miss you. 🙂

I am thankful the rain helped clear the air from smoke in your area. We’re having seasonal weather in my neck of the woods, which I enjoy colder weather. With that said, I am thankful I am inside where it is warm.

    • Comedy Plus says:

Me too, it was awful air here for weeks and weeks. I don’t mind the cooler temperatures, but I love being warm inside our home the very best during the winter months. 🙂

You can’t get me to go to the mall most of the time during the year, but after Thanksgiving forget it. I’m not going. 🙂

You do what you have to do, Anne. You’re in my reader so when you post something I’ll know. Happy Birthday to all the birthdays you have this month. 🙂

Like you, I am thankful for my blogging visitors and you hold the record for the visitor that has been stopping by my corner of cyberspace the longest. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been sharing comments for a decade! Have a blessed day.

I’m happy the smoky skies have cleared up for your area, too. I’m thankful we haven’t been blown away today, as the cold front has moved in. The wind has been gusting for at least 12 hours now, even up to 60 + mph. It’s still howling out there! 🙂

    • Comedy Plus says:

I don’t like the wind. Trees start coming down and other things that can hurt you start blowing all over the place. I hope the wind stops soon. 🙂

We’re thankful for all our friends and all the new ones we make every day. I’m thankful for the housekeeper, too, (no, she’s not going to see this, at least I don’t think so) but she mustn’t know what I said, or she’ll think I’m getting all soft and mushy. – Tom x

    • Comedy Plus says:

Meeting new people is fun. I would love to have a housekeeper. It used to be so easy, but it’s not anymore. Thanks for swinging by and leaving a comment. 🙂

I can always find something to be thankful for especially after doing a pet therapy visit where we see some incredibly sick people. Both physically and emotionally. This week I met one of the nicest couples in hospice and after hearing all the ailments the husband has endured over the past 4 years, I immediately thought how grateful I was for reasonably good health.

    • Sandee says:

I hear you. You can really learn to be thankful going to places like that. Bless you for doing so. I know they appreciate it. 🙂

    • Comedy Plus says:

We loved the rain because of the fires, but also because we live in a desert. Tomorrow I’ll have new linkies for Feline Friday. Hope it helps. 🙂

  10. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

I am glad the fires are out and the rain has cleared the smoke. Living in the countryside I take fresh air for granted and can’t imagine the misery the polluted atmosphere causes.

    • Comedy Plus says:

It happens every summer here. They quit doing forest management because it was too expensive, but now that a lot of people died we’ll see what happens. 🙂

  11. The OP Pack says:

Sometimes it is the simplest things in life that call for the most thankfulness. We are glad you got that much needed rain and now some glorious sunshine.

    • Comedy Plus says:

It is the simple things that are the most cherished. I feel that every single day, not just during the holidays 🙂

    • Comedy Plus says:

It’s supposed to rain today. I’m good with that since we live in a desert. You haven’t even started your Christmas shopping. Oh my. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

We have our last trip to our granddaughters home next Sunday and all the gifts are gone. I just can’t stand shopping this time of year. You’re young, you’ll get it done. 🙂
