Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful for family. Mine are all over the place, but getting together is most precious.

Hubby and I are thankful for our health. We’re both in our 70s and we exercise daily and watch what we eat. We have some aches and pains, but we’re very healthy for our age. Being able to go where we want without serious limitations is a blessing.

I’m thankful that hubby and I are going to fix and enjoy Chicken Piccata on Christmas. We make a mean Chicken Piccata with all the trimmings. Things like creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus.

That food sounds delicious, but Mom isn’t eating most of that stuff anymore on the plant based diet. She will be making asparagus, though, just a spray of olive oil on it and some sea salt. Enjoy your Christmas with Hubby and the family.

Good health is very important. We don’t do the big dinners anymore. It’s just the two of us and we don’t want lots of leftovers. Have a fabulous day. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂

The severe cold that is barreling down upon us may skew some holiday gatherings, but we’ll see family soon enough.
Always lots of laughter, and the young’uns like to hear how their parents misbehaved as kids; only other siblings will tell these tales.

    Sandee,

Mmmm, your Christmas dinner sounds delicious! Everything pictured looks fantastic, especially the mashed potatoes. Mmmm! We’re blessed with good health and able to do most things we want, too. Really, we have no real complaints. I’m especially thankful for our home, especially with the thoughts of such frigid weather moving into our area. My heart aches for those less fortunate and perhaps forced to sleep where ever they can find shelter. I just can’t imagine living like that! I’m saying prayers for everyone in Elliot’s path, but especially those exposed to the elements. Have a joyful and blessed Christmas, my dear!

I worry about those that are out on the streets too. They seem to manage, but I worry about them too. You have a joyful and blessed Christmas too. Love and hugs. 🙂
