Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Today I’m thankful that hubby and I went to the boat to get her ready for the winter. The screens came down and the isinglass went up. We ran the generator and got the dehumidifier out to run when we’re gone. We decided to go to dinner at The Point Restaurant because with the construction going on we don’t know when we’ll be back to the boat.

While being seated I noticed an oil painting on the wall of the delta that was not far from where we were seated. It was named The Point View. I fell in love with this painting and hubby knew it. He bought it and I’m so thankful to add it to our other paintings.

We like that painting too! It will be great in your “new” home. It’s time to prepare for winter. Good thing you are getting the work done now so you can be on the boat again when it is nice out in the spring/summer.

Wasn’t it just yesterday you were thankful for getting the boat ready for summer?! Yikes! Winter is coming too fast. I have to say I love that painting and would have also bought it on the spot. Hope you are enjoying the Autumn weather. 💜

Winterizing the boat is a sure sign of seasons changing. When the Dad lived in WV he had to take his boat out to storage every winter because lots of the water froze and they decreased the water level in the lakes so the docks came out too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
