It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful our second remodel is in progress. This time they will be doing the upstairs flooring and both bathrooms. They will have a complete makeover. They are currently working on the downstairs bathroom and laundry room.
We learned that when you’re going to remodel you need to do everything. We didn’t do that and we’re going back and correcting that. We promise before and after shots. We are most pleased with the crews that are working on our home.

I’ve always thought it would be fun to totally gut the inside of my house and start from scratch. Of course, workers expect to get paid for this kind of thing so that plan is on hold for a while…lol
Look forward to seeing your before and after.
We’re doing it in pieces so it’s manageable. The dust is everywhere, but we’re doing just fine with the disruption. 🙂
Wow, that is a big project, but it will be great when it is all finished!
It is, but it’s turning out so nice. Beyond what I expected. 🙂
I am so excited for you, Sandee. Have a blessed day, my friend.🤗
Hubby and I are loving the new look. 🙂
That is a wonderful thankful. I would be thankful to have 2 bathrooms on one floor. We have 1 and 1/2 baths. XO
We have two full baths upstairs and one downstairs. We’re happy about that. 🙂
I can only imagine how old and worn the rest of the house must look after a partial remodel. Ours needs it too!
I couldn’t believe I couldn’t see that until they did the first part. What a difference it made to the bathroom and laundry room downstairs. 🙂
That is a huge job but in the end, you will be so much happier that you did it.
You’re right about that, Miss Molly. We are thrilled already. 🙂
A dear friend is near the end of her partial-house remodel, and I am sure that I wouldn’t be able to hold it together during the ruckus!
Kudoes to you.
We love the crews that work for this company. They are amazing. 🙂
Wow! How exciting, my dear. ~hugs~
It is exciting and we’re enjoying seeing the new facelift. Hugs. 🙂
How exciting for you and Zane, Sandee! Happy Thursday!
We’re enjoying the transformation. Happy Thursday. 🙂
Good luck with the remodel. I’m sure you are excited about it and will be beautiful when done.
We are excited about it for sure. It’s going to be very beautiful when it’s done. 🙂
Sandee OMDs and OMCs are you and Zane living in your home during all this. I know it will be amazing.
I recall 2006 we had a major first floor reno…including refinishing floors dust was EVERYWHERE FOR FUREVER. Hugs
Cecilia
The folks that planned the work realizes we’re living here and are working to make the impact as minimal as possible. They are doing great on that count. Hugs. 🙂
for lazy mornings with a book 😀
I like those things too. Beautiful 🙂
Hoping your remodel project goes well and is problem free. Having lived through a major one, I don’t envy you but am confident you’ll go through it with loads of grace and patience. Best of luck!
We keep our eye on the end result. The company we have doing this is awesome and know how to get things done without affecting us anymore than needed. 🙂
You’re very lucky. Nearly everyone I know who’s taken on a remodel these days is inconsolable during the process.
Oh my gosh! Hugs to the folks doing the remodel- it is amazing how hard they work- looking forward to seeing your finished remodel! xoxox
They work hard indeed. We’re happy with the progress so far. Love and hugs all around. 🙂
Thankful my children in Florida weathered the storm and are safe.
I’m very happy to hear that, Paul. A wonderful thankful. 🙂
Remodel? My peep says all he wants is a good model.
You crack me up, Kismet. I love you. 🙂
How cool! It will be like having a new place…without all the moving!
We did a lot of packing though. Just have to get it from the garage and put it back where it belongs. All the furniture is being stored. 🙂
Remodel! I wish I could do a total gut job on my house, but alas it is too expensive right now. Plus the trades people are not available in the middle of nowhere! Thankfully the “bones” are ok, though the footprint of the kitchen would have been nice to re-arrange. I wanted to remove the peninsula but I discovered the cabinetry was attached directly to the studs and almost impossible to remove. I figured it was do everything all at once or just redo the floors and paint. So, I have “postponed” the remodel but the interior looks totally different. I have gone from the 1960s to the 2020s. I’ll be glad when my son and I have finished though. I would LOVE to see photos of your changes! Thanks for visiting us and Marv sends his love!
It brightens the home up when you go from the 60s to the 20s. It’s wonderful. Love to all and a smooch to Marv. 🙂
I am finally seeing your vision. It is wonderful.
I love you! Your loving Husband.
I’m glad you can see it. I can see some of your vision too. We’re a wonderful pair. 🙂
We’ve never done a remodel, and I can imagine it would be disruptive for a time. I’ll bet it will be beautiful when it all gets done.
Happy Thursday! <3
It’s a bit of a disruption, but it’s worth it. Happy Thursday, my friend. 🙂
I hope the remodel turns out fantastic! I am grateful everyone in my family is a-okay after Ian swept through.
I’m happy you’re okay too. 🙂
So far it’s fabulous. It has exceeded our expectations so far. 🙂
I think you are the first person I have ever heard that has not hated the disruption! But that’s good! I also can’t wait to see before and after!
We don’t like the dust, but we know it’s worth a bit of inconvenience. 🙂
So glad you have good work people for your major project ~ Best of luck to you ~ Xo
Lots of love and hugs to you ~ Xos
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~

We are redoing everything. We’re loving it. 🙂
So exciting! Looking forward to the pictures.
I’ll have pictures next Thursday for the downstairs. 🙂
May your home be your nurturing nest for many years to come. Hugs!
That is our hope too. We’re loving the new look. 🙂
Good luck. Renovations can be stressful.
So far it’s not been that bad. It sure is exciting to see the beautiful changes. 🙂
Good for you! 💞 We moved into our latest home in 2005… The place had to be gutted and totally remodeled. How thankful I am for all the planning, prep and work Hubby did to make it happen! Have fun! xo
It’s just so pretty from the old to the new. We’re happy. 🙂
Oh my! The racket and dust will all be worth it when it is done! Exciting 🙂
It’s worth it. We’re loving the transformation. 🙂
Oh my, that is exciting!! It’s always such a mess, but the end result is usually worth it (hopefully). I’m trying to update some of my decorating, but it’s a slow process since Entrepreneur and I have different ideas! Hope to see pictures of the finished effort. 💜
Our downstairs bathroom is fabulous. I’ll have a post on the bathroom and laundry room next Thursday. 🙂
Wow! Now THAT’S what I call a remodel. How exciting it will be when it’s all done. 🙂
They are redoing the entire house. Next year the kitchen. It’s wonderful. 🙂
Sandee, since I went spend crazy and bought the RV.there went the remodel money.. But than the only remodeling I would have done was all new carpeting, ans all rooms getting a new paint job.and New Cabinets in the kitchen with a built in microwave.
