Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful for our neighbors. We have wonderful neighbors. We wave to each other, stop and chat when we’re outside and our neighbor across the street we have dinner with once a month. We watch out for each other and know when folks are on vacation or out of town for the weekend.

I’m thankful that we’re watching the third generation of kids grow up, since we moved here. The first generation are on their own with families of their own. Such wonderful young folks that are working hard to take care of their education and their families.

What are you thankful for today?

Nothing better than having good neighbors. I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone got along. Summer evening were always spent outside chatting with one neighbor or another.
Now most people just keep to themselves.

we do not know a single neighbor, not even to wave at. at our age, all the people here when we moved in 33 years ago, have died, every one but us. the new owners work, we don’t know them, they never come outside and also the houses are mostly rentals and change a lot. We are thankful we are still alive, the last ones standing.

We’re in our 70s too, but this is such a different neighborhood than our last one. We like it that our neighbors are so friendly. I think it has to do with being in a small town. 🙂

Nice neighbors are a good thing to be thankful for. We’ve lived here for many years and we know all our neighbors. Everyone looks out for the others and will help out if needed. 🙂

    Sandee what a great thankful.
We live on a cul de sac with 11 homes. We are the last of the original owners on the cul de sac.
I have truly enjoyed watching as young neighbors arrive some with children and some with pups but all a delight
    Hugs cecilia

that is a HUGE plus to have wonderful neighbors and how cool is that that you watched so many grow up!! We are in an apt/condo complex, most of our original neighbors have moved through the years (our across the hall neighbors that we loved just moved last week), but my next door neighbor who is sweet is still here. It’s important to have neighbors that look out for each other for sure!

  6. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

It is nice to have good neighbours. Living on a farm we only have one family but we are very friendly with them and help each other out. At the beginning of Covid several other neighbours who didn’t live as close would take it in turns to ring us every couple of days to make sure we were okay.
