It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful for our neighbors. We have wonderful neighbors. We wave to each other, stop and chat when we’re outside and our neighbor across the street we have dinner with once a month. We watch out for each other and know when folks are on vacation or out of town for the weekend.
I’m thankful that we’re watching the third generation of kids grow up, since we moved here. The first generation are on their own with families of their own. Such wonderful young folks that are working hard to take care of their education and their families.
What are you thankful for today?

Nothing better than having good neighbors. I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone got along. Summer evening were always spent outside chatting with one neighbor or another.
Now most people just keep to themselves.
That happens here. We stop and talk to each other and share what’s going on in our lives with each other. 🙂
We love our neighbors too – especially the ones with dogs.
I hear you, Miss Molly. I love you bunches. 🙂
We too have the best neighbors. Most of them have been here since Mom moved in and there is a small group of us that watch out for each other and help each other. It is wonderful.
It is wonderful. You’re feeling what we feel about our neighborhood. 🙂
we do not know a single neighbor, not even to wave at. at our age, all the people here when we moved in 33 years ago, have died, every one but us. the new owners work, we don’t know them, they never come outside and also the houses are mostly rentals and change a lot. We are thankful we are still alive, the last ones standing.
We’re in our 70s too, but this is such a different neighborhood than our last one. We like it that our neighbors are so friendly. I think it has to do with being in a small town. 🙂
I know neighbors all over our ‘hood, and wave at anyone who is walking while I am out there.
I think it’s good to know your neighbors. To help each other. 🙂
Nice neighbors are a good thing to be thankful for. We’ve lived here for many years and we know all our neighbors. Everyone looks out for the others and will help out if needed. 🙂
We both have wonderful neighborhoods. How wonderful. 🙂
That is a wonderful thankful, you’re lucky to have such a tight knit community.
We know that’s true. We didn’t have that in the last place we lived. 🙂
Sandee what a great thankful.
We live on a cul de sac with 11 homes. We are the last of the original owners on the cul de sac.
I have truly enjoyed watching as young neighbors arrive some with children and some with pups but all a delight
Hugs cecilia
It’s fun to watch the kids grow up and then the grands to show up. Such a fun thing. 🙂
perfect post, my yard crew showed UP and boy an I thankful.
I love my neighbors. Having a yard crew is a good thing. 🙂
Great post. We have great neighbors too. We picked a good community to move to.
So did we and we love our neighbors. 🙂
We have been so blessed with wonderful neighbors no matter where we are! Wouldn’t it be grand if you were our neighbors too! We are in a way! xoxoxo
That would be grand. We could share meals and wine. Love and hugs all around. 🙂
It’s nice to live in a friendly neighborhood. We live in an apartment complex and all of neighbors are friendly. Happy Thursday! 😉
I’m happy about that. It’s good to have neighbors that look out after each other. 🙂
Indeed it is, Sandee.
that is a HUGE plus to have wonderful neighbors and how cool is that that you watched so many grow up!! We are in an apt/condo complex, most of our original neighbors have moved through the years (our across the hall neighbors that we loved just moved last week), but my next door neighbor who is sweet is still here. It’s important to have neighbors that look out for each other for sure!
It sure is important. Especially the older folks needs checking on often. Scritches to the boys. 🙂
It is nice to have good neighbours. Living on a farm we only have one family but we are very friendly with them and help each other out. At the beginning of Covid several other neighbours who didn’t live as close would take it in turns to ring us every couple of days to make sure we were okay.
Those are great neighbors you have. 🙂
Good neighbors make all the difference in the world in your ‘Hood. Glad yours are great!
Yes indeed. I love our neighborhood and neighbors. 🙂
Thankful for good neighbors and a supportive community!
Amen for that, Bette. 🙂
Good neighbors are a blessing. And so are blogging friends. XO
You’re so right, Ellen. More big healing hugs. 🙂
I am thankful that I have a couple of neighbors who have become great friends.
It’s good to have neighbors that you like. 🙂
Good neighbors and a good neighborhood are priceless joys! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
They sure are, Brian. Thank you for hosting. 🙂
Having good neighbors is a huge blessing, we have good ones, too. Hugs!
They are priceless indeed. Big hug, my friend. 🙂
Good for you. Good neighbors are key. A couple of weeks ago the SWAT team took my neighbor away. I haven’t seen him since.
Yikes. When you have the SWAT team taking someone away you probably won’t see them for a very long time. 🙂
A wonderful thankful ~ glad you have neighborhood friends ~ My neighborhood is only 5 houses ~ but good neighbors ~ grateful ~ Xo
Lots of hugs and love to you,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~
