It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful for good books. I can get lost in a book and travel to different lands and experience what the author is serving up. I’ve been to many wonderful places and never left my chair.
I’m thankful for date nights with hubby. Yes we still have dates. What better way to spend some quality time than on a date.
I’m thankful that we don’t have to set an alarm clock anymore. We can go to bed when we want and get up when we want. We love our mornings and we don’t want anyone or anything disrupting our morning routines.
What are you thankful for today?
That’s awesome that you two still have a date night. This past week I haven’t had my alarm set and I’m still waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning.
We are having a date night tonight. It took me a long time after I retired before I could sleep in. Now I get up between 6 and 7. Sometimes 8. 🙂
Very true post ❤
Thank you Kinga. 🙂
We are thankful for you and Zane, Sandee, since you make us smile. You all have a fantastic day.
I’m happy I make you smile, Marg. I know I sure love visiting you and all your babies. 🙂
Beautiful retirement thankfulness! You have both earned it.
We did have very stressful careers, and we’re enjoying not having to work anymore. 🙂
Those are nice thankful! The peeps don’t need an alarm, they’ve got us! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I remember that kitties can be great alarm clocks. I love Thankful Thursday’s Blog Hop. 🙂
I am thankful that I have you as my friend Sandee. I love you bunches, and I always will. You and I came together a very long time ago online, and even when I was not blogging we stayed in touch through FB, maybe not as much but we did. I am so thankful I found you, and I can call you a true friend. And if I was granted any wish in the world, it would be to meet you and sit and talk until our voices started to give out on us, oh and to go for a ride on the boat with you and Zane, and all three of us get all dressed up or down or however, and go to the yacht club, LOL. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Got to be the best comment I’ve had in years. You are always welcome to explore my world and go for a cruise on our boat. Love you back, Jody. 🙂
There is always something to complain about.
There is and there’s always something to be thankful about. 🙂
I am thankful I need not have to rush to work in the morning!
I don’t miss that either, Nancy. Not one bit. 🙂
Wonderful things to be thankful for!
Yes indeed my friend. 🙂
It is good to count your blessings. There is a quilter who does a podcast and she said one day that naming her blessings when she went to bed helped her get over insomnia. I’m all for that!
That’s far better than counting sheep. I love this idea. 🙂
Yes there is always something to be thankful for….just open your eyes.
Yes, just open your eyes and look around. 🙂
I am thankful for the same things except for date nights with hubby. I don’t have one of those.
I spent a lot of years alone and didn’t mind one bit, but I’m ever so glad I found hubby. 🙂
I uncovered the skylight and turned the sun into my alarm clock which wasn’t too wise since I’m not an early riser. I’m thankful the weather is a little cooler and I’m almost done with section two of the Great Spot Cleaning Purge of 2018. Good for you and hubby having date nights.
I need to do the spring cleaning. It will have to be summer cleaning now. Yes date nights are so special for the both of us. 🙂
Wonderful list of thankfuls, you are truly blessed.
I really am blessed and I know it, Ellen. It’s wonderful. 🙂
love love love that quote and I sooo agree! We just have to notice things that we are thankful for! I am thankful that when I went to the doctor for a re-check on my (borderline sugar numbers from 6 months ago), my sugar is in the normal range! Wooo hooo! BTW I love that you have date nights!
Wow, on those great numbers. Keep up the good work, Caren. That’s awesome. We’re having a date night next Friday night. Looking forward to it too. 🙂
as a recovering social worker, I am also thankful for setting my own schedule. I tend to be a night owl but dh is a lark… of course! When he retires we’ll see how it changes

Hubby and I are both to bed at the same time, but hubby sleep about two hours more per night than I do. We do get along great in our retirement years. I’m happy about that. 🙂
We believe you are right. There is always something we need to be thankful for Thursday or any way of the week!

I’m thankful every single day. There are so many blessing around us. 🙂

Some folks never even notice all their blessings. 🙂
Yes indeed there is!
And you and I are well aware of all our blessings. 🙂
Such great things for which to be thankful. Mom agrees with all of them! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
If your mom agrees then I’ve done well this week. 🙂
