Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful for the new year. Hubby and I are already talking about cruising to different marinas during the good weather. We have our favorite places to go, but this year we’re going to do a delta cruise in the fall. We don’t want to go on the bay cruise anymore so a delta cruise will fit the bill. Places we’re going to visit are Tower Park Marina, Antioch Marina, Pittsburg Marina and Delta Marina Yacht Harbor. We may add another marina or two, but we need to make sure there are places to dine when we cruise. Cooking dinner is not something we want to do. If we stay two nights in each marina that will give us an 8 day cruise with one night at our marina on the front end and one night on the back end for a total of 10 days. A perfect delta cruise.

What are you thankful for today?

Happy cruising Sandee. Great that you have made travel plans. We would love to go to Europe, but with our State only opening to the world from the 5th February and the Omicron variant flooding us then, we have decided to wait and see… Enjoy it 🙂 Happy New Year!

Everyone is waiting aren’t they. We can cruise on our boat as long as the marinas are open. We can order food to go and just go from marina to marina. Works for us. 🙂

That sounds like a lot of fun, especially the eating out part! We are planning our sports events for the next six months. Planning is half the fun of doing things, isn’t it?

Good plan for cruising! Years ago I used to go on a house boat cruise with my oldest son and his buddies- great fun! I took my little red kayak and had fun paddling when we would be anchored for the day!

Not much. If they are on lock down we can still go to marinas and order food to go. It’s not ideal, but we can be on our boat for days and just read, take walks and just enjoy each others company. 🙂

It sounds like you’ve got some real cruising fun in the works and you’ll enjoy every minute of it too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

I hope you have a wonderful time on your planned cruise! We’re throwing around some ideas for trips this year. I just wish the stupid covid stuff would settle down so travel wasn’t so difficult.

    • Sandee says:

The great thing about our cruising is we can still go with covid and not be around folks. Order our food to go and eat on our boat. It works. 🙂

That cruise sounds lovely. I agree, you definitely don’t want to be cooking!
I paid for our April cruise today. I have been keep putting it off, but Princess has a book with confidence guarantee where they will refund cancelation fees as future cruise credits for cruises to the end of April. Hopefully we won’t need to do that though.

We so love it and going from one marina to another is most fun. Different scenery and different food to enjoy. Love and hugs all around, a smooch to Marv and a big hug to you. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

It’s the only time we do. I’m looking forward to it too. There are so many favorite dishes I love to have and then we walk and walk so we don’t gain weight. 🙂
