Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Hubby and I are most thankful for our marina. We enjoy boating and we love where we keep our boat. It’s a beautiful place to relax, enjoy the ducks, fish, seals and our boat neighbors. We are fortunate that we’re still healthy enough to go on cruises.

The top picture is the guest dock that consists of 1400 feet of docking. There are often some very large yachts that come to Willow Berm for the summer. The largest vessel that used to visit was a yacht named Flipper. It was 110′ yacht with a full crew.

What are you thankful for today?

How wonderful that you’ve found this marina!
There are marinas all over ’round here, since we are close to Lake St. Clair, and know that it’s important to find a place that suits.

I know who had that yacht. Dan Duc owned the yacht. He’s not owner of the marina, but the yacht is gone. I’ve searched for it, but I’m sure whoever has it has change its name and hailing port. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Oh that yacht was most beautiful A huge home on the water. Full crew, so no work to have to attend to either. Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂

I love you at our Marina. I remember when I asked the Captain of Flipper for a boat ride, he would always say, “Tomorrow at 10.”

    Your loving Husband.

The marina looks like a lovely, serene escape and it must be fun, cruising around. 🙂 I am thankful that our fall season has been relatively mild, so far. Have a good weekend!

Wow Sandee, that marina is simply gorgeous. I can see why you love it there. Your description made me sigh with relaxation. Being in beautiful nature can’t be beat. I hope you and your hubby have many more relaxing trips out to come.

I am thankful that a trip to the Vet yesterday for one of our kittens went well. These are former ferals we’ve taken on, to socialize, and hopefully find homes. They are free of disease of any kind. So thankful! Now I pray we can find them their perfectly loving, forever families. ❤️

Thankful that hubby and I had many years of traveling together before retirement. Thanks for sharing your marina, Sandee! During the 1990s, hubby and I were living in CA and made weekend trips to coast where we thought about buying a sailboat. Although we didn’t buy a boat, we had long weekends and vacations to travel together up and down both coasts and across country six times by different routes. Blessed and grateful! 💞 xo

Boating for us is perfect. We so enjoy being out on the water. We’re planning a Delta cruise that includes over a week of traveling to different marinas to enjoy what they have to offer. Happy day and rest of the week, Bette. 🙂

Gorgeous looking boats. I used to live in Sooke BC right on the water. Our landlord was a fisherman and had a 150′ Seiner and had a 100′ yacht in a boat house that looked remarkably like the ones at your marina! At that time we had a 28′ cabin cruiser. We loved to get out whenever we could. Unfortunately we had to move for work, I really miss the ocean! Thanks for bringing back some wonderfully happy memories. I shall sleep well tonight.

    • Sandee says:

We don’t live on the water and it takes us about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to our marina. We have a 34 foot Sea Ray Sundancer. We love her. It’s our home away from home. Love all around and a smooch to Marv. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

It sure is. Turkey is good, but since we don’t host the family meals anymore we eat something else. This year it’s garlic chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli. No bread or dessert. 🙂
