Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

Today I’m thankful for modifying my diet and adding exercise into the mix. I was very lax about both for quite some time. It was showing. I was chunky, had blood work that needed addressing and I would get winded easily. It was because I wasn’t doing enough exercise and eating things I shouldn’t. That was six months ago.

Today, I’ve dropped 10 pounds and walk every morning. I eliminated some not so healthy food and quit snacking between meals. I am no longer winded and feel so much better. At 70 years old I needed to take better care of myself. I’m so thankful that I’m doing that now.

What are you thankful for today?

Way To Go Sandee!!! Hubby and I take multiple short walks around our big back yard every day during the warmer months – to avoid getting overheated – but soon (I hope!) the cooler weather will make it possible to do our one or two longer walks again. We need to eat healthier foods, too; but we haven’t reached that point yet.

A wonderful idea. Walking 10 minutes a day can do so very much. Some of the food I was eating wasn’t good at all. They are gone. 🙂

Hooray for you! The simplest adjustments can make a huge difference in your health. I’m working my way back into a good exercise regime and am trying to eat better. It’s always a struggle, though. Here’s to growing old gracefully, right? 😉
