Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that I have this stack of books to read:

I can travel the world and never leave my chair. Pure heaven.

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.  Charles W. Eliot

We lived within walking distance of the library. I was THAT kid who carried home the biggest stack of library books to be handled and then immediately sat down and started reading them. I loved to read so much when I was younger. I still do, but I rarely carve the time out to do so. Enjoy your reading bliss! I’m thankful I’ve hit the jackpot two years in a row with good students. It makes teaching so much more enjoyable.

That stack of books is indeed something to be thankful for! Happy reading! Still looking forward to reading the new Karen Slaughter myself.

My mom has never enjoyed reading books. Even as a little girl, she was always in the top reading group but only read the books she had to read. She loves short stories and articles on things of interest. Once and a while she will read a book on a topic she wants to learn about but then she reads the whole book in a day and that is it. We know most people love to read and that is a nice thing.

oh boy! I will see if these books are available in our llibrary! Thanks and have a great day!
we are swamped right now with projects – so I may not be posting as much as in the past. Cheers!

I’m a teeny tiny bit jealous – that brand new Karin Slaughter book is one I’m very much looking forward to! I’m waiting on a copy from the library but it seems like it’ll be a long wait. She’s an incredible writer.

Great selection of books here to soothe your soul. Reading is a wonderful thing. Enjoy! xx

Books–great teachers, travel guides and companions! Just finished reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, highly recommend this beautifully written bittersweet novel to readers everywhere. 🙂 Thanks so much for putting Dog Bone Soup on your stack, Sandee! Happy Thursday and Happy Reading, my friend. xo

I am thankful for people who write books. I read all the time, one of the joys of retirement. Last year I read 100 books and will probably do the same this year. I am familiar with some of the authors you have on your list but haven’t read the books you mention, at least I don’t think so. Once I read a book it seems to leave my brain quickly. I keep a blog page with what I have read listed that helps to jog my memory.

Great list of books Sandee! I have put a few of those on my list! Now that I don’t have a job (I won’t say I’m not working as I’m working harder than I did when I had a job) I am taking the time to do some reading. After all the illness in my family over the summer, I am thankful for my health this week. I am thankful for you you and your hops! You ROCK!

When I was more involved with blogging, I rarely read books anymore, all I read were pet blogs! Now that I have some down time when at my shop, I’ve started reading books again. Then I realized how much I had missed them!

Mom loves to read too, and she sees some of her favorite authors on your list. She may just have to check out some of those books.

    Have a great weekend.

Dad’s gonna steal your thankful. He and mom always have a stack on the headboard, and they love to immerse themselves in books nonstop.

That sounds awesome! I need to get an actual book. I took up reading a lot on my kindle during this pandemic, but I miss the feel of a real book. Reading is the best!
