It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
Today I’m thankful for my android phone. I like that I can blog with my phone, when I’m off my laptop. It makes our boating weekends less stressful since I can monitor new post and comments as we’re having fun. I resisted getting a smart phone for a very long time, but I’m glad I decided it was an important thing to have.
I’m thankful that I have the Life360 app too. Hubby and I can be away from each other, but we can each know where the other is with this app. It gives us both comfort. When we’re traveling from here to there you can also monitor that progress. It will show you traveling, what street you’re on and how fast you’re going. Really love this app.
What are you thankful for today?

I use my phone to do drafts for my blog but have to go to my desktop to edit and schedule them. The blogger app won’t let you schedule, you can either post right away or save as draft.
I’ve never heard of that app, pretty cool.
WordPress lets you compile posts, but I’ve not done that. I do visit and reply to comments when we’re out and about. Love my Life360 app. 🙂
I am also thankful for the hand phone. So used to having it with me, I feel lost without it. I am not good with blogging with my hand phone but it comes in useful when we are on holiday without my computer. Life360 app is new to me. Need to check it out.
Me either with the cell phone, but I can do so much with the phone when I’m not near my laptop. 🙂
Technology can be useful sometimes.

It can be indeed as long as you do other things too. 🙂
We would love that 360 app to monitor our mom, but she says she doesn’t want to be monitored. Glad the smartphone is working out for you. Mom doesn’t like to do a lot with hers because the computer is so much easier, but the days she was in the hospital, she had no choice!
The computer is easier, but the cell phone comes in handy. I’m the queen of butt calling too. 🙂
I can’t blog from my phone because it is too tedious. It’s either my laptop or my Kindle. I love my Android phone, as well. It’s 5 years old and I hope the battery hangs in there. Thanks for the tip on the Life360 app. Happy Thursday!
It is tedious. I have to use a stylist to type. My nails get in the way. Happy Thursday. 🙂
Such nice thankfuls! I can’t blog from my phone either, tedious is the right word for it. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you for hosting such a wonderful hop. Being thankful is a good thing. 🙂
I am thankful for my smartphone too… It’s wonderful to be able to take great photos anytime, anywhere and to text, talk for get directions when away from home. Feeling blessed!
Yes it is, Bette. I never knew what I was missing. Feeling blessed too. 🙂
i have a love hate relationship with tech. i am glad we can communicate and make the world a bit smaller.
I often don’t even turn my phone on when I’m home. I do love it when we’re away though. I can keep up on comments and blog visits. 🙂
What a wonderful thankful Sandee
I am still floating down the river of DE-Nile concerning a smart phone. I have a Smart TracPhone. It does what I need it to do and has more abilities that I haven’t needed. I only use it when we are traveling. My hubby doesn’t own a cell nor will he.
We still have a landline too.
Hugs Cecilia
When we’re away from home is when I use my cell phone. I can keep up with all the hops I do each week. 🙂
It is nice to be able to communicate quickly in case of an emergency.
Sent that before i was done! Just wanted to add, i am also thankful to have you as a friend. Hugs!
I love you too, my friend. 🙂
It is indeed. I was so connected with I was working it was awful. Three cell-phones, a pager and several voicemail accounts. 🙂
Sometimes I wonder how I got along without a smartphone. They can definitely make life more convenient. Just wish some wouldn’t be plugged in 24/7. They’re missing out on a wonderful world.
Yes they can. We’ve been traveling and want to go somewhere and as long as I have my location on I can find it easily and then the phone will tell me how to get there. Brilliant. 🙂
Win, win!
As if The Hubby would remember to carry his phone with him…
More often than not, he’s left it on the table, or in the car that hasn’t been driving in days.
I know a few siblings who were grateful for that app when their children were young…wonder if they still use it?
It’s also good for emergencies. There are so many uses, but you have to have it charged and with you. 🙂
I’ve had a cell phone for a long time, but only use it for texting and photos, and occasionally a phone call. Most everything else I have no idea what they are.
Wishing you a very happy Thursday! <3
I don’t call many folks anymore. I do text and I like having it when I need it. I turn it off at 4pm each day and won’t turn it on until the next morning. 🙂
I still am resisting getting a “smart” phone- but you do make good points. Have a lovely day!
Oh if you get one you’ll be hooked. It’s a mini computer. Fabulous. 🙂
We are thankful for all you do for the blogging community and wow, we like our Android too. Dad is a terrible cheapskate so a fruit phone was totally out but we have a nice little one that is smart and has lasted years. Have fun on the boat
Our are pretty old too and we don’t want to spend that much money for new phones until we have to. You’re most welcome and I’m glad we found each other. 🙂
That Life360 sounds good. Is it only fo4 Android? If not, I think it is something I definitely need. I need a new phone but since all our products are Apple, I guess it will have to be an iPhone. Big hugs and many thanks for your support of Kizmet, Janet
I don’t know if it’s only for Android. Check your apps in your phone and you will probably find it. I love it to pieces. You’re most welcome. I’m so proud of Kismet. 🙂
I love my phone too, technology truly does make life easier (most of the time!) I’m going to have to look for that app!
It sure does. I am not living on my phone though. Refuse to do that. Have a great day and a big smooch to Luke. 🙂
Technology is wonderful, isn’t it??
It is indeed as long as we don’t live on said technology. Scritches all around. 🙂
I do love technology! Of course when it breaks down, I’m anti-technology. LOL Overall, it’s a good thing 🙂
I’m with you on that one and I can say several bad words when they breakdown too. 🙂
Hi, Sandee!! I am thankful our Bible study has begun and we had a great day.🥰
That’s a wonderful thankful, Michelle. 🙂
I was so thankful today to have my android when my old truck broke down on the side of the road. And since we don’t have a landline, I’m thankful I can ask Alexa to call my phone when I “lose” it in the house!
They sure can make life easier at times. 🙂
Those are great thankfuls. I could have used that app about 15 years ago when my niece was in high school. 🙂 XO
Yes you could have. If she didn’t know about it. They can turn it off. xoxo 🙂
Sounds like you are a very Modern Millie ~ glad you are enjoying your android ~ I like my iphone ~ Xo
Lots hugs and love to you ~ from me and Angel ~

I am and I went years after I retired refusing to have a cell phone of any kind. 🙂
Our human sisters both use that Life360 app to monitor where their children are. It is very helpful especially when the oldest girl is driving home from school activities at night alone.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It’s a fabulous app indeed. Best one out there too. 🙂
I like the phones because it is easy to post with paws.
That’s a very good reason. 🙂
I resisted a smartphone for a long time. I am glad I switched over. The app you’re talking about sounds awesome!
It is a great app. I use it whenever we are apart or we’re traveling. Have a great weekend. 🙂
That app is very cool. I must try it. I can not blog from my phone. It is quite difficult, but I don’t like missing out on blogging and I have missed many days this year. I always appreciate you and am happy I stopped here. Have a wonderful weekend.
You have a wonderful weekend too, Anne. 🙂
I am going to check out that app. The phone is too small to blog and blogger does not sync with most anything. I forgot to link my second blog post and it will not let me do it at brianshomeblog. Isn;t technology crazy? So I posted it late. Now to get back to my posts for tomrrow. Goodnight and get great rest! HUGS
WordPress sync’s with my phone wonderfully. Blogger started to get weird years ago. I’m glad I moved to WordPress. Love and hugs. 🙂
That Life360 app sounds great! So you can see where someone else is and you can track your own activity, very cool. Smartphones really are absolutely incredible. My mum was hesitant at first too, but that’s more because she’s a wee bit terrified of technology and not knowing how to use it. Now she’s hooked on reading the news online, or sending me messages full of emojis via WhatsApp when I’m only upstairs 😉
Have a lovely Friday, Sandee! xx
I resisted for far to long. There’s a lot of comfort knowing you’re not alone. You have a love Friday and weekend, Caz. 🙂
Yay, for choosing an android too. So much more freedom with those than with an Apple. I love mine too!
We didn’t know what to get and our granddaughter said to do apple because it’s easier and we said we didn’t know anything about smart phones so it wouldn’t matter. We love our Androids very much. 🙂
