I’m thankful for I didn’t have that lazy three day weekend that I said I was going to have in last weeks Friendly Fill-Ins. Hubby and I did two days of spring cleaning in our kitchen, great room, dining room and living room. I’m talking about deep cleaning that we’ve not done in a very long time. It was a great feeling when we were done. Everything shines.
I’m thankful that I have such a wonderful husband. We used to work together many moons ago and we were shoulder to shoulder then and we still are now. I’m a lucky gal.

Deep cleaning is hard work but the rewards are awesome. I always love sitting in a room that I have cleaned thoroughly. How wonderful that you had your husband to help too. Not all guys will do that. You’ve got a keeper.

Cleaning would be better with a buddy. Mom isn’t a fan of cleaning, but it has to be done and she is always happy when she finishes a cleaning project.
I’m not a fan either, but when I get started there’s no stopping me. 🙂
I’m in the middle of some deep cleaning myself and I am so thankful for the AC while it’s happening. 🙂 I’m very happy you have your hubs, best friend, and partner all rolled into one. I think you’re both lucky. Love you, Sandee. <3

Once in a great while I get on a binge and deep clean a room. I know it’s such a good feeling when it’s done! I don’t have help though, since my boys grew up and I no longer have slave labor!

the only cleaning bob does is vac and mop floors, for that I am thankful. now if he would just shop for food and cook it I would be more thankful. I to, love a shiny clean room

Deep cleaning is hard work but worth it when finished. Doing household chores together makes it easier, IMO. My hubby and I share in the chores. Happy Thursday!

I need to get into the mood before I could do any cleaning job. I like the feeling once a good cleaning job is done. Congratulations on getting your cleaning job done.

I was eagerly typing blog comments at 9 am when our power went out.
A 18 wheeler Pepsi truck tried to turn on to a small curvy road near the house. As he turned, the top of the truck caught on cable taking down a power pole.
Thankful(ly) our power was only out for 2 1/2 hours. Internet just came back on still waiting for Spectrum Cable TV.

Mom is still painting, it is probably going to take all summer. The house has not been painted in over 25 years. The kitchen even longer.Us cats will be happy when it is all over and the house is back to normal. Have a marvellously happy day and we will see you tomorrow!

Mom has been doing some bigtime cleaning here too, but she doles it out if little time periods. She isn’t up for the big three day cram. She says it really does give a great feeling when you get something like that accomplished.

We’ve known each other for 50 years. We’ve worked together when we worked. Now we are retired together. It’s a good thing. We both have gems. 🙂
We are always thankful for long weekends.

It was a good weekend here for deep cleaning, with rain and much cooler temperatures. However, it didn’t happen at our house! LOL. If only we could train Luke to do the cleaning…he’s the one with the most free time. LOL (he sends smooches, by the way).
Luke supervises. That’s his role and he knows it. Smooches to Luke and have a great weekend. 🙂
