Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

“Thankfulness is the quickest path to joy.” Jefferson Bethke

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time.” Douglas Wood

“The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but the thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings.” Henry Ward Beecher

Sometimes it isn’t always easy, but we try to always be thankful for everything we have and get to do. The pandemic has made us really appreciate simple things a lot more.

  2. Sandra Hangey says:

not so thankful a day here in the plumber nightmare, as soon as it ends will try to find something postive about it all

  3. Cecilia Upchurch says:

Mr. Emerson’s quote was my favorite.
Last night we went to bed with a Level 4 Severe storm(Tstorms, hail, tornadoes) alert for today (there are 5 levels). I was quite thankful to hear we are downgraded to a level 3. We have taken in all things from the outside that might be given wings by the wind. The birds aren’t thankful for that.
    Hugs Cecilia

Wise words. Sometimes I swear or grumble about some tiny mishap and then find myself laughing, seeing past the moment at all my various blessings. ~hugs~ Be well!

It was raining earlier, but the sun is trying to peek out. It’s going to rain some more today and tomorrow. We are having a calm day. Thankfully. 🙂

5 years ago today we bought the old farmhouse, and it turned out to be perfect! We turned it into a real farm a year later when we got our first chickens. It’s the best thing we ever did. It was almost the most stressful thing we ever did (selling our old house), but it definitely turned out to be worth it! I am so thankful we decided to do it, especially since we almost didn’t several times along the way.

  6. Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Cinnamon and Barb says:

Today Sandee, I am thankful for my fur babies, my family, my neighbors and my blogging friends. I am thankful for sunshine and spring (except for the pollen, I’m a hot mess right now). And I am thankful for you and all the work you do that brings the blogging communities together! Through your hops I have met so many wonderful people. You are AWESOME! I hope you have a marvellously happy day!

    • Sandee says:

I’m so happy for all your thankful things. Yes these hops do allow you to meet so many new folks. I’m so glad I met you and your babies. Scritches all around and a smooch to Marv. 🙂

  7. The OP Pack says:

Very true quotes. Being thankful surely does make one feel good and happy. We are so happy for ALL that we are blessed to have in our lives – and there is A LOT!!!

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  8. The Canadian Cats says:

There is so much to be thankful for and most of the time we overlook the prime ones. Like a warm place to live, food that taste delish, and the main one to us…..family that love us.

    Shoko, Tyebe and Jean

  9. Natasha says:

Just what I needed to hear.💖

Thank you my dearest Sandee, for adding my post. Wish I had more time to write a #TT post.
Since I can’t I try and give gratitude in the present moment through the day.

Big hugs and gratitude for your friendship dear one. 🦋💜
And to Brian’s blog for hosting this.
