Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that I got in to see my eye doctor for new glasses yesterday. After my cataract surgery in October my eyes were telling me I needed new glasses. What a difference they will make. My vision is far better than it’s been in years.

I’m thankful that our boat mechanic is done with our yearly maintenance. We’re planing on taking a drive up in the near future to get the boat ready for the season.

I’m thankful that we’ve already seen a few blossoms on some trees. This happens every February and it makes my heart happy. Spring is just around the corner.

What are you thankful for today?

That’s great that you’re seeing better. Hope you don’t have to wait too long for the new glasses.
Seeing signs of spring always makes me happy too. I think it will be a while before I see any around here though

Hurrah for being able to see better again! I’m grateful that my grown children are such good parents. It means everything to me.

  3. My GBGV Life says:

Sight is something to never take for granted. We know that as Gramma is losing her sight from an incurable eye disease and it is so very difficult. It will be wonderful for you to see so much better, we are really happy for you!

It’s a good thing you’re getting the new glasses I remember when I had both my cataracts removed and then I got my new glasses it was absolutely wonderful. Sight restored to 20/20

Hooray for the surgery and new glasses! It’s always a joyful thing to put those new glasses on and see the world clearly for the first time in a while.

My hope is you will have a fabulous boating season and a glorious spring.

We aren’t in full lock-down and they control how many folks can be in a medical office at the same time. It’s working out well for those that need to see a doctor for whatever reason. 🙂

Glad all is going well with your eyesight and glasses.
I’m thankful I was able to get my 2nd dose of the vaccine yesterday, and had no side effects besides my arm being sore.
    Happy Thursday! <3

Blossoms on the trees would be a huge mental lift! I hope you don’t have any more freezing weather. We have below 0F wind chills here so I don’t think I’ll be seeing any buds anytime soon. New glasses! Hope you picked out some crazy cute frames. I’m sure you’re looking forward to the day you can take out the boat. I would! xoxox

    • Sandee says:

It’s cold here, but spring has arrived several times already. Doesn’t last for long, but ever so nice. We were in the 70s for a few days. I always try for fun frames. We’re ready for the boat, Lisa. 🙂

Meowza, blossoms on trees sounds wonderful! Today, in our neck of the woods it’s 16 degrees with a wind chill of up to 15 below! The Human needs to get back from that place she calls “work” and crank up the fireplace!

  13. The OP Pack says:

Mom hopes you are right about Spring. It is so cold here that we don’t get out for our daily walks. We just have to exercise in the yard. We love the cold and we even have a bit of snow, but zero and below does get a bit weary.

I hope you love the new glasses. It’s fantastic your vision is so much improved. And blossom on the trees is such a wonderful sight, isn’t it? We haven’t had any here yet but at the first sign of it I instantly brighten. Spring is around the corner!!

    Happy Thursday, Sandee! xx

  15. Kathe W. says:

Great thankfuls! I bet you and Zane are ready for Spring and boating! We are getting snow tonight! So we’ll hunker down and enjoy our home with Lucy! xoxoxo

Good luck with the new glasses. Everything is taking longer. Our son Jeremy and his wfie are moving into a new home and if they do not have furnishings you want in the stores there is a 6-7 month wait list. It is called, no one wants to work anymore. Ugh! Our plumber told us today they can not get any good help as no one is interested in learning a trade or simply working, period. Living in some sad times.
But the weekend is coming and we will stay indoors as the temps are falling to the single digits. Brrrr……
Grateful for a weekend filled with phamily. Take care and thanks for all you do.

  17. Anne M Robinson says:

I am very thankful for everyone here and all the fun we have. I am thankful for heat and a roof over our heads in these extreme temps. Thankful for all those I love and thankfu for laughter which gets me through so many days. I look for glimmers of kindness, grateness and thankfulness. It is always there, we just have to search somedays. Thanks for all you do and be safe and happy.

  18. Jan K says:

We’re in the middle of a frigid spell, and have had a lot of snow storms lately. Spring seems way far off to us!
I am thankful to have Luke’s company when I’m hibernating because of the weather! 🙂
