It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that I got in to see my eye doctor for new glasses yesterday. After my cataract surgery in October my eyes were telling me I needed new glasses. What a difference they will make. My vision is far better than it’s been in years.
I’m thankful that our boat mechanic is done with our yearly maintenance. We’re planing on taking a drive up in the near future to get the boat ready for the season.
I’m thankful that we’ve already seen a few blossoms on some trees. This happens every February and it makes my heart happy. Spring is just around the corner.
What are you thankful for today?

That’s great that you’re seeing better. Hope you don’t have to wait too long for the new glasses.
Seeing signs of spring always makes me happy too. I think it will be a while before I see any around here though
I won’t know until I get them. Everything takes a bit longer now days. 🙂
Hurrah for being able to see better again! I’m grateful that my grown children are such good parents. It means everything to me.
I had no idea I had a cataract either, but what a difference when it was removed. Wonderful. 🙂
Sight is something to never take for granted. We know that as Gramma is losing her sight from an incurable eye disease and it is so very difficult. It will be wonderful for you to see so much better, we are really happy for you!
I don’t take any of my senses for granted. They each play an important role. I’ve a friend that has the same issue as your grandma. 🙂
Being able to see is a blessing – so many are not so lucky. We are thankful that last night’s snowfall only added an inch to our already growing pile.
I know this is true, Miss Molly. I’ll be 70 in September and things don’t work as they once did. 🙂
Those are good things to be thankful for, Sandee! I’m glad your eyesight is better! Happy Thursday!
I couldn’t believe the difference after the surgery. It was wonderful. 🙂
It’s a good thing you’re getting the new glasses I remember when I had both my cataracts removed and then I got my new glasses it was absolutely wonderful. Sight restored to 20/20
I can’t wait either. 🙂
Hooray for the surgery and new glasses! It’s always a joyful thing to put those new glasses on and see the world clearly for the first time in a while.
My hope is you will have a fabulous boating season and a glorious spring.
I know this is true and I can’t wait for the new glasses. We’re hoping for a great boating season too. 🙂
Hi, Sandee! I am so excited Spring is almost here. Enjoy preparing your boat for the season. 🤗((Hugs))
We are enjoying it very much. Working on our first cruise too. Even if we just stay on the boat it’s all good. 🙂
Hey, Sandee, I have a question. How can I get a Buddies drop-down list? TIA🤗
It’s a plug-in called Blogroll Dropdown Links @ https://www.thefreewindows.com/28779/blogroll-links-dropdown-list-free-plugin-wordpress/
In your WordPress admin go to links and add the links. You’ll have to remove the links you don’t want, but the cool thing about the links page is if you add it to your link list it automatically shows up in your links on your sidebar. 🙂
I too need to get a new pair of eye glasses. I am thankful I am still able to see, will wait till the lockdown to be lifted.
We aren’t in full lock-down and they control how many folks can be in a medical office at the same time. It’s working out well for those that need to see a doctor for whatever reason. 🙂
Been over the visit Brian and the furs, now coming here to say hi….Like I told Brian, the furs and I are thankful the a warm home this morning. 34 degrees and not to go much higher then that. Tomorrow night, 16….
We are thankful for the warm too. It’s not as cold here, but I’m all bundled up. I’m waiting for spring. 🙂
After your vision is better and you see what’s actually going on, you may want to go back to your old glasses.
I don’t pay any attention to all the detractors. Smoke and mirrors is what they are doing. I’m good. Love you Kismet. 🙂
New glasses are definitely something to be thankful for. I am thankful that I have a confirmed appointment to get my first COVID vaccine shot this month.
Good for you on your first shot. 🙂
Happy Thankful Thursday and YAY on your new glasses just in time to see all the beauty of CA spring
Hugs Cecilia
I know and there are some beautiful blossoms out here and there. Makes my heart happy. 🙂
Thankful for sunshine on a bitterly cold day… 💞
No sunshine here. It’s supposed to rain today and we need the rain. 🙂
Blossoms this time of year are so welcome and appreciated. It’s good to appreciate the simple things in life. Happy Thursday!
We just drove around the other day to find what few blossoms we could find. Pretty soon there will be fields of blossoms. 🙂
Hope springs eternal.
I’m thankful for the luxury of staying inside to admire the snow from a warm place. 🙂 Hugs, my dear.
A huge thankful. Enjoy and hugs back. 🙂
Those are nice thankfuls and hooray for new glasses. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. It’s a good thing to be thankful. 🙂

You leave the sweetest comments. Tell Marv I love him to pieces and I love you to pieces too. Hugs and a very happy day to you too. 🙂
Oh, I’m glad you’re eyesight is better! Good luck with the new glasses. 🙂
And I’m just going to enjoy those blossoms vicariously through you.
I know spring is coming, but it doesn’t feel like it’s coming fast enough!
Enjoy your weekend!
<3
We’re getting a taste, but it’s ever so cold. One day the switch will be flipped and it will be warm. 🙂
Those are all wonderful thankfuls- especially better vision. 🙂 XO
It sure is a blessing, Ellen. 🙂
Glad all is going well with your eyesight and glasses.
I’m thankful I was able to get my 2nd dose of the vaccine yesterday, and had no side effects besides my arm being sore.
Happy Thursday! <3
I’m happy for you to get your vaccine. Happy Thankful Thursday. 🙂
Blossoms on the trees would be a huge mental lift! I hope you don’t have any more freezing weather. We have below 0F wind chills here so I don’t think I’ll be seeing any buds anytime soon. New glasses! Hope you picked out some crazy cute frames. I’m sure you’re looking forward to the day you can take out the boat. I would! xoxox
It’s cold here, but spring has arrived several times already. Doesn’t last for long, but ever so nice. We were in the 70s for a few days. I always try for fun frames. We’re ready for the boat, Lisa. 🙂
36 days to Spring…yippee!
I’m so ready for some warm weather. 🙂
Getting the boat ready is such a great thing. You know summer is coming and the fun along with it. Great Thankfuls
We are so ready for that. Can’t wait to get out on the water. 🙂
Hello! Did ja miss me? Getting better and on my way to the doctor. I’ll be back on my blog Monday. My good friend Cathy has helped me out with my blog and holding down the fort on Mondays… so missed you gotta run. HUGS & LOVE YA…. Marie! BIG HUGS
I’m glad you’re feeling better honey and yes I missed you. Love you bunches. 🙂
Meowza, blossoms on trees sounds wonderful! Today, in our neck of the woods it’s 16 degrees with a wind chill of up to 15 below! The Human needs to get back from that place she calls “work” and crank up the fireplace!
Purrrs & Head Bonks,
Alberto
Yes on the fireplace. Stay warm. 🙂
Mom hopes you are right about Spring. It is so cold here that we don’t get out for our daily walks. We just have to exercise in the yard. We love the cold and we even have a bit of snow, but zero and below does get a bit weary.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Yes it does. If it just warms up a little during the day everyone is far more happy. Spring is coming. 🙂
I hope you love the new glasses. It’s fantastic your vision is so much improved. And blossom on the trees is such a wonderful sight, isn’t it? We haven’t had any here yet but at the first sign of it I instantly brighten. Spring is around the corner!!
Happy Thursday, Sandee! xx
Getting old is a challenge. You know all about challenges. A completely different set when you get old. Big hug, Caz. 🙂
We are thrilled you got new glasses.
Not yet, but the eye exam is the first step. 🙂
Great thankfuls! I bet you and Zane are ready for Spring and boating! We are getting snow tonight! So we’ll hunker down and enjoy our home with Lucy! xoxoxo
Yes we are and have already decided on our first cruise. We don’t care if we stay on the boat and get take out. We’re going. Love to all. 🙂
Good luck with the new glasses. Everything is taking longer. Our son Jeremy and his wfie are moving into a new home and if they do not have furnishings you want in the stores there is a 6-7 month wait list. It is called, no one wants to work anymore. Ugh! Our plumber told us today they can not get any good help as no one is interested in learning a trade or simply working, period. Living in some sad times.
But the weekend is coming and we will stay indoors as the temps are falling to the single digits. Brrrr……
Grateful for a weekend filled with phamily. Take care and thanks for all you do.
Yes we’re living in some sad times. All planned by idiots that want to be the ruling class and the rest of us will starve. 🙂
I am very thankful for everyone here and all the fun we have. I am thankful for heat and a roof over our heads in these extreme temps. Thankful for all those I love and thankfu for laughter which gets me through so many days. I look for glimmers of kindness, grateness and thankfulness. It is always there, we just have to search somedays. Thanks for all you do and be safe and happy.
You are such a joy. I’m thankful for you, Anne. Big hug. 🙂
We’re in the middle of a frigid spell, and have had a lot of snow storms lately. Spring seems way far off to us!
I am thankful to have Luke’s company when I’m hibernating because of the weather! 🙂
Tell Luke I love him and am sending him lots of warm smooches. 🙂
New glasses! Yay! I think it might be time for me to do that too 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!
Without glasses I can’t read much of anything. You have a wonderful weekend too. 🙂
