It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives. Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that today hubby and I will be boating to a yacht club event in Rio Vista, California. We will meet with other boaters to enjoy a weekend of getting our boats inspected to make sure we’re in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard safety regulations, lots of fun activities, good food, friendship and getting out of our slip after a long, wet winter.

“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.” ― Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
What are you thankful for this week?
Happy boating and have an enjoyable weekend gathering with other boaters!
That’s our plan.
How fun to turn a boat inspection into a fun event. Have a great time.
We do indeed. It’s a day filled with activities. Even a movie night. 🙂
Sounds like you’ll have an amazing time with quite a boating community spirit. Can I come??
Today I’m thankful that one of the presents I’d ordered for my mother’s 70th has arrived, after worrying it was going to be late or had been lost in the post! x
Yes, come along and you’ll have a good time. Glad you got your package for your moms 70th. 🙂
I’m thankful for successfully emptying 10 years of stuff from the old moho to the “new” one, and for my hubby’s ability to do a major kitchen remodel on it! Miss you two!!!
Love and hugs times two, honey…
Pictures please. I would love to see your new moho. I loved your old one too. 🙂
Oh my, that sounds like such a fun time. My Dad loves boats and had one for many years. We’re kind of surprised that when he retired we all didn’t move into a houseboat. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are avid boaters, Brian. We love, love, love anything to do with boats. 🙂
Sure sounds like a fun time for you two and everyone else. Sure hope you have tons of fun.
We hope it’s a fun weekend too. We do enjoy Safety day. 🙂
Getting those boats in compliance, very important; I’m taking a wild guess that there may be some celebrating involved as well, I never met a “Boater” that needed an excuse to party.
We happen to have some cold adult beverages aboard. You’re right about the cocktails. Not everyone drinks though. 🙂
My father used to call a boat ‘a hole in the water you throw money into’, not to sound insulting. He has a quirky sense of humor. And I enjoyed teasing him when he bought a small fishing craft in Florida, though he didn’t have it long because their lake dried up (!). Be well, safe, and have fun!
Oh, and I’m thankful to be having so much fun meeting April’s fifty thousand word writing challenge. ~grin~ I write in a journal almost daily and start each entry with five blessings.
Good for you. Writing is your passion and it shows. 🙂
Yes, the term is still used. That and BOAT – Bring On Another Thousand. They are expensive, but oh so fun. 🙂
Why do you need a boat? You can walk on water.
Who told you that. I cannot walk on water. 🙂
Sandee,
I’m thankful for the gorgeous weather today. There’s nothing but blue skies and spring-like temps here. The wind is a bit stout but it feels great!

Yay for your upcoming fun weekend! Hope you have a lot of fun and your boat passes all of the inspections!
We are at our destination. We had a great boat ride. Dinner on the dock with friends. 🙂
Sounds amazing. I am jealous. 🙂
I’m thankful to be feeling well again 🙂 As for your weekend, it sounds like so much fun. Hope you & hubby have a wonderful time.
I’m glad you’re feeling good again. 🙂
Here’s to enjoying the Boat,Friends and Good Food.
Thanks, Mike. We are having a great afternoon. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful time. XO
Thanks, Ellen. So far so good. 🙂
It makes me smile to think of the two of you sailing off for a summer of adventure!
It rained after we arrived. Most delightful. The sun is shining now. 🙂
Sounds like a fun weekend. Even being in California sounds like a fun weekend. mol

California has its good points but it’s not the great state it once was. 🙂
How fun! I will be staying here in the desert where nary even a rain drop is in the forecast 🙁
We’ve had a lot of rain this year. Winter is hanging on. It’s not going to stop us though. 🙂
Sounds like you’ll be having a great time this weekend!
So far we’re having a great time. I’m sure we’ll have more fun today and more boats are coming in. 🙂
Sounds awesome!
Beautiful boat and have a fabulous weekend. I’m thankful the sun is shining through my window. 🙂
The sun is shining this morning, but it’s ever so cold. I hope it warms up soon. 🙂
Our temp is 77 F, and it’s about time. 🙂
That’s about our temp yesterday. Today is supposed to be nice too. 🙂
Sounds wonderful ~ xxx

Happy days on the water! I am thankful for many things, but mostly for our family, our friends and our wonderful
four legged furry family members!
There is nothing as fun as being on the water in our boat. 🙂
That sounds like you will have a fantastic time!! Sorry I haven’t been around, my step daughter had major surgery last Thursday and things have been crazy………..I am trying to catch up (unsuccessfully lol), I am grateful that overall her surgery went well. xoxo
We just got home and we did have a fantastic time. Lots of good friends, our boat passed the Coast Guard inspection, we had lots of good food and the sun was shining and it was warm for our Saturday event.
Prayers for your step daughter to have a speedy recovery. xoxo 🙂
