It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful for Freedom of Religion. Many around the world will never experience what we take for granted here.
I’m thankful weekends. It’s a time to go out and explore the world.
I’m thankful for all the pets I visit while blogging. Although we don’t have any anymore, I sure have fallen in love with so many precious babies that my blogging buddies have. I grieve when they leave their peeps and go to the rainbow bridge.
I’m thankful that I can read. Many can’t. I can travel around the world and never leave the comfort of my chair.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie

I am also thankful for freedom of religion in our country which many have taken for granted. Thankful also for the internet, computer and smart phones which we cannot do without.
Yes we have much to be thankful for, Nancy. 🙂
Love that quote. Being grateful can make a big difference in how we view everything.
I feel the same way about all the blogging pets I’ve met. I’ve cried over severeal who have left their humans.
It sure does make a difference. I’ve cried over many other folks’ babies. Breaks my heart. 🙂
There are so many things to be thankful for in our lives, but we go along and take them for granted. God protects us and saves us from so many dangers and troubles that we are not even aware of. Yet we forget to thank Him.
God bless.
He sure does protect us, Victor. God bless you too. 🙂
I too am thankful I can read just like you are not only does it let me travel around the world and visit places that I would never visit and meet people I would never meet but it means that my eyes are still healthy and that I can see which is something that I’m very thankful for. Mysite my hearing and the fact that I can still walk
Yes on all those things. There are so many little things that many never notice. They are all a blessing. 🙂
I think most people are more thankful then ever having had our freedom taken away with this virus thing. We are all now thankful for basic life things that we all used to take for granted.
Yes we’re all feeling that for sure. Toilet paper, getting my hair cut, getting my nails done. Food. So many things. 🙂
This virus thing has been a wake-up call to many. This is the first time in the history of this country that our freedom of religion has been impacted by government closure of churches. We’re on a slippery slope and I hope people wake up soon.
Yes we’re on a slippery slope. I’m awake as you are, Linda. 🙂
I am thankful for all of our blogging buddies, even if we don’t blog any more. We love reading the blogs. We are thankful for the roof over our heads and for the food we eat. Sandee hope you and Zane have a perfect day.
I’m so happy to be able to see you now and then, Marg. You know you’re loved by so many. 🙂
I remember when I discovered the library at my elementary school; the trajectory of my life changed in that moment!
Reading, especially non-school books, has been a major force in shaping the person that I am today.
Very powerful stuff.
It’s wonderful isn’t it? Yes it is. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Those are purrfect thankfuls, we can’t imaging where we’d all be without reading. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Us either. We have a book or books going all the time. Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂
Canada has allowed me to have the freedom to have religion, talk whatever I want within the rules. These people who think that they can say whatever no matter, they want are wrong. Respect is important, I’m thankful that people respect me. I’m thankful for having my friends. They give me strength everyday. Enjoy your day Sandee and please keep safe.
Cruisin Paul
There’s very little respect here. People are downright mean down here. We’re safe, Paul. 🙂
I am thankful for you and your supportive energy as I mourn for loss of my sweet Zoe ~
Xox ~ lots of hugs and love to you ~ Happy Boating ^_^

I love you Carol. I wish I could take some of your pain from you. I know the crushing hurt of losing someone so precious. 🙂
I thought we got rid of weekends a few months ago.
We got rid of weekends when we retired. The best thing about retirement. Love you, Kismet. 🙂
I can’t imagine life without reading – it is something to be endlessly thankful for, for sure!
The world is a small place for those that can’t read. It’s a shame. 🙂
Sandee what absolutely beautiful thankfulness today. I agree about reading. My mom was an avid reader. We went to the library every Saturday when I was a child.
Hugs and Happy Thursday
Cecilia
My parents weren’t but I was hooked on the first book I read. Been reading ever since. Happy Thursday, my friend. Big hug. 🙂
Freedom of religion and being able to read are things we take for granted. I am thankful for these things, as well, plus a slew of other things. It pays to step back and think about things we are grateful for. Happy Thursday!
We could make a list a mile long and then start on the next mile. Happy Thursday. 🙂
😉
We are so thankful for our blogging buddies that live in all parts of the world. We learn so much for them and see such beautiful sites. I am also thankful for books. I can’t imagine life without them.
They do bring such wonderful things with them. I agree. I’ve friends all over the world too. 🙂
So true on freedom of religion and, at least to some degrees, freedom of speech, of choice, of dress, etc. That should never be abused or taken for granted. And yes, I’m incredibly thankful I can read, too. I consider it a blessing to be able to write and a joy to be able to read, especially how books are a big part of my life. Are you busy reading blogs or do you have a good book on the go at the moment?
Happy Thursday, Sandee! xx
We always have a book we’re reading. Hubby can read several at a time. I can’t swing that. Happy Thursday, Caz. 🙂
Such wonderful thankfuls today! I also am very thankful for reading, and the places it takes me!
That’s the amazing part is all the places reading takes you. I’m currently in Scotland right now with the book I’m reading. 🙂
Excellent thankfuls! I am thankful for my family and friends and our sweet animals that live with us!
I’m thankful that you’re back from that horrible hacking you endured. Love you, Kathe. 🙂
That traveling around the world from a comfy armchair is divine, isn’t it? So much which to be grateful especially these days where pandemic life lends itself to it. Thanks for sharing and loving Blogville’s pets. 💙
It is divine indeed. I can get lost in a good book and do very often. You’re most welcome. I love your babies too and grieved when you lost Sam. 🙂
Great thankfuls. I know what you mean about loving other bloggers’ pets. Have a great day! XO
It’s very easy to do. They are all so special and you learn to love them so quickly. 🙂
What a wonderful quote. Thank you for sharing it. Everything is better when we have a grateful heart. Purrs from Sawyer and Cooper Murphy. Hugs, Janet
Yes indeed. Purrs back to Sawyer and Cooper Murphy. Hugs. 🙂
I also enjoy reading about other people’s furbabies. It’s almost like you know them, and I always feel welcome in the pet loving community. Like I always say, furbabies bring humans together.
Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
I agree, Viola. There are so many wonderful babies out there. You have a wonderful Thankful Thursday, too. 🙂
We say amen and AMEN to all four “thankfuls” you mentioned!
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Oliver
Thank you, Oliver. Purrs and head bonks back. 🙂
Thankful for creatures great and small that inspire me every day… Happy Thursday, Sandee!
Me too, Bette, me too. 🙂
An excellent list, all things i am thankful for, also. Hope you had a great Thursday.
There are so many wonderful things to be thankful for. We just need to pay attention to all the wonderful things in our lives. 🙂
I’m trying to write in a gratitude journal a few times a week. Some weeks are successful, but some (like this week) are not because by the time I remember to record my thoughts, I’m too tired!! Freedom of religion is something in which to be thankful. Did you know the country with the largest increase in Christians is….China! Yes, we Americans take such freedoms for granted and sometimes we tend to twist our “religiosity” to fit our political opinions. Wonderful list! Hope this week has been kind to you. xoxo
This week has been kind to us. I hope it’s been kind to you too. Being grateful is so important. 🙂
My Dad’s ancestors came here centuries ago for the freedom of religion so we do appreciate it.
Yes indeed. We can’t let anyone take this away from us. 🙂
Those were some great Thankfuls, Sandee, where we can fully relate to. When another furriend has left our planet, it feels like one of our own :'( That Quote is beautiful💗Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞
It sure does feel like one of our own. Pawkisses for a happy day and weekend. 🙂
I’ve cried so many tears over other people’s pet losses that I’ve never even met in person. But they also bring many smiles and laughs! It’s the best thing that’s come out of blogging for me, so I’m thankful I decided to start a blog.
They do bring so much joy. Yes blogging is a wonderful way to meet wonderful people and their wonderful pets. 🙂
Excellent list. I couldn’t agree with you more. ~hugs~ Be well and stay safe!
Thanks, Darla. Be well and stay safe too. 🙂
Pets make the world a better place! Our Eddie is pretty mush the best and makes our family so happy.
I hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂
Yes they are part of the family and often cared for even better than our kids. Just saying. I think it’s because they can’t tell us what they want sometimes. 🙂
