Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that we finally got to out on a cruise on our boat. Things are starting to open back up and it was a delight to be able to go to a restaurant for dinner.

The above bridge is called Three Mile Slough Bridge. It’s not been operational for over a year. Hubby and I timed our passage under this bridge at low tide both going to our destination and coming back from our destination. We require 12′ to safely get under. If we don’t get under this bridge it will add 2.5 hours to our travel time each way.

I’m thankful for my haircut. We have standing appointments for our haircuts the first Thursday of each month. Today is that day.

I’m thankful for having my beautiful nails back. Yesterday was my second appearance for my nails.

I will never take any of these thankful things for granted ever again.

That’s a lot of extra travel time it you can’t go under the bridge. Talk about a long way around!
Enjoy the hair cut. I think hair salons in the UK will be opening before too long too. xx

I’m happy you were able to get back out on the boat. That bridge sure does make a difference in travel time.

    • Sandee says:

Yes five hours is a huge difference. We check the tides and go if we can at low tide. That doesn’t always work out. Sometimes low tide is in the middle of the night. 🙂

We are so happy you are cruising again. What a beautiful photo. Mom still hasn’t eaten at a restaurant because of the mask thing…just too weird, but she gets take out sometimes.

    • Sandee says:

It wasn’t bad. We wore the masks in and then took them off at the table. When we were ready to leave we puts the masks back on. 🙂

We have not eaten out in 4 months and I don’t know when we will. Florida is open but so is the virus and Florida is the number one hotspot for the virus heading the nation plus we live in a red County. Glad you got to get out and go in the boat that’s the one thing that people are doing here going out in boats

    • Sandee says:

If you’re on your own boat and no one is around it’s all good. We have done take out and that’s what we’ll continue to do for now. 🙂

We haven’t been to a restaurant since the lockdown. The virus is still too much of a threat to get out and around. We miss traveling to the mountains. That is a beautiful photo of the bridge! Happy Thursday.

    • Sandee says:

We’ve only been out that weekend, but they had rules in place and we followed them. Reservation only so they could control how many were in and they spaced people out very nicely. 🙂

  6. Margaret Elmendorf says:

Glad you got out on the boat and that you two are healthy etc.We are good here too. Our little Mahoney who has not felt good for a long time started eating last night. So this is really good news. Sandee, you and Zane have a fabulous day.

We’re planning another trip around mid-month. Just the two of us though so we won’t be around anyone else. We love boating. 🙂

My wife called to have her cut but the lady who usually does it needs to have an operation. Me., I have an operation to have a pedicure on Saturday. THank God. Have a great day Sandee.

It’s good to get the things we love done. We feel much better for it. I had a heavenly pedicure yesterday. You have a great day too, Paul. 🙂

  9. Cecilia Upchurch says:

I too was thrilled to have my first hair cut in early June, and thankfully I get to have another one next week.
I’m very thankful I have more than 2 rolls of extra t.p. The last few weeks of March into early April I was dangerously close to NONE
    Hugs Cecilia

Haircuts and nails and toes are something I enjoy so much. Got my nails and toes done yesterday and we’re leaving soon for our monthly haircuts. Life is good. We are okay on toilet paper, but we were very close to out when this all started. Hugs my friend. 🙂

  10. 15andmeowing says:

Glad you got to go out on the boat. And got haircuts. I got mine done last week and hubby finally got his yesterday- both of us had not been since December. Have a great day. XO

  11. Anne Robinson says:

Oh you have a great thankful list. I had that haircut two weeks ago. It was a blessing. I gave up my painted nails. Needed a breather from wearing the fake nails. I do love to polish them though. Waiting on amazon and my infared heating pad/ My SIL Zach let me borrow his last weekend. No more achy low back pain. So we ordered one for ourselves. It is nice since we can use our health flex card. Thankful for all those things. Thanks to for all you do. HUGS xo

    • Sandee says:

I thought about not doing my nails anymore, but I’m just not ready. Someday. Yesterday I got my summer cut. My hair is very short now and I LOVE it. 🙂

  12. Jan K says:

I’m thankful my hubby finally got his hair cut! He was starting to look like Doc from Back to the Future – LOL. I still need to go myself, but I can just tie my hair right back in the summer so not as much of a rush. 🙂
So glad you were able to get out on your boat and have a nice dinner out too!
