Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

We are thankful that we’re fortunate to own a boat and have traveled the California Delta all the way to San Francisco. We have visited most of the yacht clubs along the way.

We miss boating. Everything is closed. We miss going to different marinas with friends and having a great time visiting different restaurants and venues. We hope this changes in the near future.

We are thankful that we got to visit a dear friend that has just been placed in Hospice. Cancer is a horrible thing. We love you John.

What are you thankful for today?

I saw the picture of the boat and thought you finally got to go out on it. Hopefully soon. I’m ready for things to get back to a bit of normal

  2. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

I hope you are soon able to get back on your boat and enjoy the things you love to do.
I send my best thoughts for your friend John.

We think dog sports for us are like boating for you. It is our social life where we have so much fun and get to hang out with friends. We may be able to do some dog sports in late June. Paws crossed. Very sorry to hear about your friend going to hospice. Thank goodness you got to see him.

    • Sandee says:

We all have the things we love. I sure enjoy seeing your dog sports. Such fun. Yes we were very happy to see him. We’ll go next week if he’s still with us. 🙂

We had rain here too and now it’s warming up. Summer is coming quickly. Thanks for the good vibes for John. He’s terminal though. 🙂

I am sorry about your friend. Right now is a tough time for hospice care, because families have limited access. I am glad you could see him

Oh the times in which we find ourselves are such a challenge especially with all the changes and new things we have to learn and remember. I too am thankful you were able to visit John.
    Hugs Cecilia

We were too. He called us on Sunday and we were there Tuesday morning. Would have been there Monday, but our security company needed to take care of our alarm. Hugs back. 🙂

I do hope that you can go boating soon Sandee. Why can’t you and in Fort Lauderdale they are all taking their boats out on the water, all sizes of boats.
I thank God that my family is doing well.

Our boats only come out of the water when we pull it to clean and repaint the hull. We figures we’ll be out on the water mid June. Stay safe and I’m glad you’re all doing well. 🙂

Yes indeed. We buried his wife last summer. She was a wonderful friend as her husband John is. So sad.

If I were near you we’d take you out on our boat. Ms. Zoe would enjoy it too. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Yes it’s sad and we’re planning on going to the boat next Tuesday and if John is still with us we’ll go visit again. You have a great day too, Marg. 🙂

  8. Brian says:

Boating is lots of fun, we need to buy another boat and all move on it and live there. We’re very sorry to hear about John. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Hopefully you will be able to get back to boating again soon.
I am sorry your friend is doing so badly, but I am sure you will do everything to help him.

We are thankful, and apprehensive also, that our youngest granddaughter, KP on my blog, has been promoted to Junior High, Grade 6. She was worried but needed have been.

We think we’re getting close. We won’t go until it’s safe. It appears some marinas are opening. When it’s safe we’ll be out on the water. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

It’s not closed per say, it’s just there are no services if you go. You’d have to eat on your boat because nothing is open. 🙂

Beautiful pictures of your boat trip, Sandee, we hope you can go on board again soon. In our Country everything is opening up slowly. We were out biking yesterday and everything seemed back to normal again, we didn’t had restrictions with boating, only how many people are on board…I guess we’re very lucky 🙂 Healing Pawkisses to your furriend. It’s hard to see them suffering :'( Pawkisses for a Happy Furriday…will be back later for our input🐾😽💞

We figure next month sometime. About mid month it appears. Heard today that we’re going to be able to get a haircut very soon too. I’ll never take those things for granted anymore. 🙂
