It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that boating season is right around the corner. We have our first cruise planned the end of this month. Can’t wait to get back out on the water.
I’m thankful that I worked so hard in my working years. It’s made my retirement most enjoyable. Having the wisdom to see this in my youth has paid off nicely.
I’m thankful for my health. Hubby and I are both thankful that we are able to do the things in our retirement that we want to do. Many aren’t that lucky.

Well being that it’s Thursday there is always being thankful that it’s pay day 🙂
Yes payday is wonderful. 🙂
Oh wow, so a cruise planned for the end of February? That’s definitely something to look forward to. I don’t think I’ll make it to retirement but my parents worked so hard through their working years to be able to retire as well, so I’m glad you and your hubby are able to do that and now enjoy yourselves a little. I’m hoping spring is around the corner for us in the grey and rainy UK, too. Fingers crossed! xx
Yes a cruise is in the works. The weather starts getting nice around mid-February. The almond trees have blossoms and hubby and I are ready to go boating. 🙂
How exciting to plan for your cruise which is basically right around the corner!
Yes it is, Miss Molly. 🙂
No cruising here just yet, but happy for you being able to do it again. It is great you can have so much fun and do it with your hubby.
We do have a great time out on the water. We truly love boating. 🙂
So glad you and Zane can go on a cruise to early in the year. We are thankful for everything we have which includes good health. You and Zane have a perfect day.
It’s on our boat, Marg and the weather is so nice right now. I hope it’s going to be like this when our cruise rolls around. 🙂
I am glad you are enjoying retirement with your hubby. Have a great day! XO
We are and we worked very hard to be comfortable in our retirement. You have a great day too. 🙂
Hooray for cruising season, we are sure ready for some warm! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We’re preparing for our first cruise and we’re more than ready. 🙂
I agree about working hard. Years ago many of my coworkers at the university left for higher paying jobs in the corporate world…more money but no built in pension plan like with the State and unfortunately they spent instead of saving now they are still working at least part time. Benefits with state employment are wonderful.
Hugs cecilia
Yes they are. You just have to look to your future to see where you want to be when you retire. 🙂
I’m thankful for the health that I have after dealing with my stroke, and all the problems that came with it. I’m not going to be the best but God has allowed be to enjoy the life He’s given me. He’s allowed me to enjoy cruising #14, my friends, Blogging friends. my family and especially my wife MaryLou.
Cruisin Paul
Yes on the health. That’s most important for sure. 🙂
Your cruising season is right around the corner, Sandee! Happy Thursday.
Yes it is, Eugenia. I’ll let everyone know when it happens. 🙂
I am thankful for so many things- my sweetie, our Lucy the Cat, our wonderful friends all over the world and the fact that we are healthy and lving in a wonderful country. Hugs toyou and Zane!
Yes on all counts. Hugs to you, Russell and Miss Lucy. 🙂
When is opening day?
April 26, 2020. 🙂
How do you afford a boat after tax dat?
While I don’t mind winter weather, it’s safe to say I’m ready for some spring.
I’m so ready for some spring and we’re finally getting a taste of spring. 🙂
Being able to do what you like and enyoy retirement is something wonderful. Have fun looking forward to your next trip!
We are most excited about our first cruise. It’s finally time. 🙂
Living for where you want to be in the end is smart indeed! Entrepreneur has done a masterful job with our finances so we can retire comfortably. I truly feel sorry for those not prepared for their expenses when they retire. Life is very expensive nowadays. Boating season sounds delightful! xoxo
Yes so many think it’s so far away and it’s not. 🙂
Thankful for sunshine on a cold and windy day! 🙂
Yes that’s always a wonderful thing. 🙂
Such wonderful thankfuls today! I am thankful I married a man who helped and planned to make our retirement plans a reality!
Yes indeed. Hubby and I worked hard to make our retirement as good as we could make it. 🙂
We pups were thankful for a dusting of snow overnight, Mom not so much. And the sun was shining brightly today – a great spirit lifter.
Woos, Lightning and Timber
Yes it is. It’s getting warm here and we’re enjoying that. Lovies to the pups. 🙂
Hooray for boating season! You have certainly earned your retirement.
We both worked very hard. We were on call too and sometimes sleep was hard to come by. 🙂
That is awesome. Enjoy the trip
We are getting things planned out so we’ll have a great time out on the water. Nothing better than the first cruise of the season. 🙂
Oh man. Your cruise is just days away. How exciting for you!! I’m so happy you thought ahead too! I like hearing about your wonderful life. 🙂 – I am thankful for my kids. They’re just good, kind people. I have a laundry list of all the things about them that I’m thankful for but their hearts definitely top the list. And my beautiful furry partner in crime, my pup Luci. She’s 14 and old age is settling in. I am thankful for every moment with her. <3 – Love you, Sandee. <3
Kids are wonderful aren’t they. So are grands and great grands. Love you too, Karen. 🙂
today I am thankful my hubby did so well with his Melanoma surgery
What great news, Sandra. That’s always a wonderful thing. 🙂
Wonderful list of thankfuls ~ and yes, boating season ~ Zoe and I are going to stowaway in ‘spirit’ on your boat ~ you both are blessed ~ ^_^
Xox from Ms. Z and me ^_^
Happy Moments to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
You don’t need to stow away. You’re always welcome. 🙂
To be healthy and retired I think is everybody’s dream, and you are lucky to have that along with something you love to do. Love and hugs, Janet
Yes it is and we’ve done that so far. I hope it remains so. Love and hugs, Janet. 🙂
You are definitely blessed to be able to enjoy your retirement to the fullest! I’m always hearing of people who retire and then have serious health issues. It always seems so unfair, plus it makes me scared to retire (I’m not there yet anyway)! It’s great to hear it works out for some (and probably most, we just always hear the bad stories, it seems sometimes).
We know that health issues can change everything for us. We hope that doesn’t happen, but we are not naive enough to ignore health. 🙂
