It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not. Seneca
Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude. Ralph Waldo Emerson
We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives. John F. Kennedy
What are you thankful for today?
Awesome quotes and so very true.
Yes they are, Ann. 🙂
Bestest quotes ever and absolutely true!
Thank you, Miss Molly. Sending you scritches and an extra treat. 🙂
A thankful man is a happy man, indeed. I try to instill gratitude in my children. As they grow older, I see it stuck, and that makes me very grateful too. 🙂 Have a wonderful day!
Yes it sticks if we teach them well. No doubt that you have and will continue to do. 🙂
Wonderful quotes. So many don’t appreciate their “now”, and spend their lives “wishing”. Enjoy what you have and in the moment because life can change in an instant.
I hear you and often they are lamenting over the past. Can’t change that one bit. 🙂
I am thankful for a warm house. 🏡🤗 ((Hugs))
Amen to that, Michelle. Hugs.
We are thankful for work, even though it’s not our favorite thing in the world.
And if you want to add to your quote collection, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks, for this is the will of G-d for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 It means a lot to me that He says to be thankful “in” all circumstances, not “for” all circumstances.
Love your quote the best. Thank you. 🙂
Mimi’s right. In every thing give thanks. Good post. There is so much to be thankful for.
Yes indeed. I do each and every day. 🙂
Made a difference? Some differences are negative.
You’re right about that, Kismet. You’re always right. 🙂
Wonderful quotes!
Yes indeed, Linda. 🙂
I’d be most thankful if more humans carried the thankful attitude with them. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’m with you on this. Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂
it is good to give thanks even for the smallest things and a grateful, thankful person is a happy person.
Yes indeed, Nancy. Yes a thankful person is a happy person. 🙂
We are thankful for all our blogging friends and all of our good food. Sandee, you and Zane have a super duper day.
I’m thankful for you, Marg. You and your babies have brought much joy. 🙂
Those are all great quotes. XO
Thank you, Ellen. Have a great day. 🙂
Gratefulness and kindness are two very excellent traits…I wish everyone came with those in their DNAs
Hugs Cecilia
I wish the same thing, Cecilia. Hugs my friend. 🙂
I’m thankful for my hubby’s support as we had to put down our angel Amanda today. My little princess is now at peace. ❤️
I’m so sorry, Eugenia. It’s so hard to do. Being at peace is a good thing for your angel, but it’s hard on us. 🙂
It is hard, Sandee, and it takes a while to adjust to her not being around.
We can even be thankful for the horrid people that we meet; they teach us to be anything BUT like them!
I hear you. 🙂
Too true – it’s always easier to be thankful for the GOOD EXAMPLES, not so much the HORRIBLE WARNINGS – MOL!
I am thankful that our Vet who constantly kept getting high BP readings for Dakota, sent us back to the specialist that Dakota had gone to in June (where he had NORMAL BP readings). My Vet was getting readings of 180, 190, etc….well, we went to the specialist Vet today and they got the highest as 154, the lowest was in the 140s. My Vet had said if they got a 170 he would leave it alone and assume that THEY are the problem. Obviously, while I love them, THEY are the problem!!!! Now I am wondering what possibly takes place at grooming (because Dakota gets groomed at our Vet too), that could be making him have “white coat syndrome” there. Waiting for that Vet to get back to me, but am beyond grateful my boy had GOOD BP READINGS! Sending lots of gratitude and love!
If Dakota doesn’t like the groomer it’s a rough time for him. We were always very careful about groomers. 🙂
These are all very profound quotes. It makes me a little bit sad that so many people still are so greedy when even Seneca told us so long ago we should just appreciate what we already have.
Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
Yes and often people don’t appreciate what they have. It’s sad. 🙂
I love those quotes about being grateful and at peace…especially the Seneca one. It’s my definition of experiencing true joy in life. I linked up late over at Brian’s. I hope you and yours have a wonderful weekend. xoxo
You have a wonderful day and weekend too, Lisa. 🙂
Feeling ever blessed and thankful for it all… 🙂 xo
Yes indeed, Bette. So much to be thankful for. 🙂
Ah….the elusive pursuit of happiness. Maybe it’s easier than we think. ♥
It is easier than we think. 🙂
What wonderful and thought provoking quotes today!!
We just need to be thankful for the many wonders in our lives. 🙂
Been over at Brian’s. I am so thankful that Brian’s mom and dad love and take care of the feral.
We all do. They both do such wonderful things for all the kitties, inside and out. 🙂
Those are wonderful quotes.
I thought so too. 🙂
The Seneca quote rings true for me. – And honestly, saying my prayers everyday shows me how blessed I am and I feel filled with gratitude for everything and everyone in my life. <3
I hear you, Karen. Happy Friday and weekend. 🙂
I like all of these! I am grateful for wise people who share their wisdom with us. I have always said it is better sometimes to learn from others wisdom and experience than to make the same mistake yourself.
Thanks for sharing friend!
There is so much truth in humor. Have a great weekend. 🙂
Sandee ~ this is a magnificent thankful post ~ sometimes, though, it is hard when one is missing people who have died and loneliness sets in sometimes ~
So grateful for you in my ‘online life’ ~ Xox to you from Me and Zoe ^_^
Happy Moments to You,

I hear you. I know it’s a sad thing and I think of them often. 🙂
Excellent quotes and reminders, Sandee. Thank you! Right now, I am thankful that two of my friends who are seriously ill are doing as well as can be expected.
Prayers for your two friends, Debbie. 🙂
