Annie of McGuffy’s Reader is hosting Sparks, an inspirational and positive thought for the week link-up, every Monday.
“The negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy. And, we can all be part of this affirmative change.” ~ McGuffy Ann Morris
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring–it was peace.” Milan Kundera
Great quote. So very true
It sure is, Ann. Our babies can teach us so much if well just pay attention. 🙂
I will share this with Stella and Kenzie as I hang out with them. I am so very happy to have them. Both are Sheltie rescues. Stella is almost 8; we got her in 2013. Kenzie is almost 11; we got her in 2016. We were dog-less for 11 months 2012-2013. I cried every day. I have at least one dog from age 10 until we lost Polly in 2012. Stella was meant to be our dog. She is awesome. Kenzie needed us and is finally a happy dog, too. Big hugs, dear friend.
We sure miss our Little Bit. She was this kind of girl. She was the best dog ever. She needed us, but we needed her more. 🙂
I understand! Dogs (animals) get it. And those that we rescue know the truths of life without love and life with love. Their love is unconditional. We learn so much from them. Thank you for sharing, Sandee. Enjoy your week! HUGS.
Yes they do get it. We can learn so much from them. We just need to pay attention. You enjoy your week too. Hugs back. ♥
Bird Lives Matter.
I agree with you, Kismet. Your mom agrees with you. 🙂
I could use a bit more peace.
I agree, most of us can. 🙂
I love dogs, but they do know jealousy.
They do, but not if you're alone with them. They are content then. 🙂
Dogs are one of the best inventions ever.
I can't argue with you about this, Mimi. 🙂
So beautiful and I look forward to the day that our puppy dog can sit in peace on a hillside – she's still a little bit hyper. I'm sitting peacefully with Princess Cookie Cat who is an expert at meditation.
Have a good week.:)
I can remember when our Little Bit was young and she was so hyper. We sure miss her. 🙂
Oh wonderful post, quote and photo of the silhouette of the sweet cat juxtaposed against the stain glass ~ thanks,
Happy Week to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka, (A Creative Harbor)
And you have Zoe so you know this is ever so true. Happy week to you too, Carol. 🙂
It is no surprise that i totally agree
I figured that you would agree. 🙂
Dogs are wonderful little critters.
Yes they are, Binky. 🙂
Animals know about Eden and they were smart enough not to mess up there. Now they try to help us get back to where we were meant to live.
I agree, Patricia. They are most wonderful family members. 🙂
Sandee,
I haven't looked at such a simple thing as this to make such a connection yet reading the words ring true. Wouldn't it be nice if all could live in Eden for a moment with a fur-pal? Have a sparkletastic week and thanks for dropping by, my friend! PS: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here! 🙂
Simple is usually the very best way to live. Have a great Christmas, Cathy. 🙂
Granny's doggie was her best teacher to find her way to Eden. She left our planet when she was almost 18 years, knowing that Granny was able to do it all by herself now🐶❤ Beautiful quote❤ Pawkisses for a Happy Day😽❤😻
Our Little Bit is gone too and I know we both miss our babies something terrible. 🙂
Dogs certainly make life more enjoyable Sandee.
Cats on the other hand…
Well they're just pure evil wrapped in fur
Cats are way cool too, but you have to love them. I love them and have had many wonderful cats over the years. 🙂
Isn't it wonderful that God provided animals for humans to enjoy.
It's is wonderful, Ida. 🙂
Puppers are always sparks of inspiration…and comfort. I can't imagine a life without one. We have an 8 month old pupper now and he's shaping up to be a great companion.
We lost our baby a couple of years ago and hubby says no more. I hope that will change after time passes, but I'm not thinking it will. 🙂
Thank you for the pingback!
Sitting with a dog on a hill is peace. Sitting with a pet rock…it’s just a lode.
I started living with dogs just four years ago, but their unconditional love is magic.
