Annie of McGuffy’s Reader is hosting Sparks, an inspirational and positive thought for the week link-up, every Monday.
“The negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy. And, we can all be part of this affirmative change.” ~ McGuffy Ann Morris
“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” Henri Frederic Amiel
Which in my opinion makes gratitude more valuable than thankfulness
Seems that way doesn't it. 🙂
They go hand in hand. Thank you for sharing this.
They do go hand in hand. 🙂
This Spark has so much truth and power wrapped up in it. It's one thing to feel thankful, but when we extend it to our actions, therein lies the real value. xoxo
Thankful is the start. We need to follow through. 🙂
Sandee,
Excellent "Sparks"! I wish this spoiled generation of "me-me" would develop a sense of both because they aren't thankful therefore they do not know gratitude. Thanks for passing on such encouragement!
Not all of them, but many. It's a shame. 🙂
This is a very important quote. I agree entirely. It is so important to do more than be thankful. Gratitude is deeper. Gratitude involves appreciation, and is usually a way of life. I am grateful for people like you. Hugs, my friend.
Thanks, Annie. I'm loving this meme every Monday. It makes you focus on the good. What we should be, not what we think we may be. 🙂
I never thought of it that way before.
That's what I like about this meme, it makes you think. 🙂
Ooh, I should work on that. I don't 'do' enough. Thank you for sharing.
Sparks is turning out to be a great reminder of the things we should be doing. 🙂
Love this spark as being grateful is such an important thing. Even on the darkest days there is something to find, even if it is just that you have a roof over your head.
Have a really lovely week.
And some never see any good in anything. They are thankful for nothing. Have no gratitude. Never see all the blessings they have. 🙂
Yes, it's good that you show that you mean it.
Talk is cheap, but actions speaks volumes. 🙂
I love that quote. Actions go really far in helping people feel special or loved. Words can be cheap.
Words can be very cheap. Actions have always spoken louder than words. 🙂
Gratitude and thankfulness…two things that are even more critical to healthy living especially these days.
