Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
I Had It All:
I talked to a to a homeless man this morning and asked him how he ended up this way.
He said, “Up until last week, I still had it all. I had plenty to eat, my clothes were washed and pressed, I had a roof over my head, I had HDTV and Internet, and I went to the gym, the pool, and the library. I was working on my MBA on-line. I had no bills and no debt. I even had full medical coverage.”
I felt sorry for him, so I asked, “What happened? Drugs? Alcohol? Divorce?”
“Oh no, nothing like that,” he said. “No, no…. I was paroled.”

Funny and yet sadly true. I wonder how long before he goes back.
I personally don't like the dress code. Orange isn't my color
Not long, the return rate is pretty high for these lost souls. Many enjoy being taken care of especially in the winter months. 🙂
LMAO seems he will be trying his hardest to get back breach his parole
Have a kuxuriouslytastic SSS :-f
It won't take long. You have a kuxuriouslytastic SS too, Steve. 🙂
Oh, my!!! LOL!!! Good one, Sandee!!! I hope you had a great weekend! Hugs. 🙂
I'm having a most delightful weekend, Linda. 🙂
Heeheehee! The amenities may be nice, but i'm not sure i'd like the neighbors. Have a blessed and beautiful Sunday!
Some of the neighbors are awful to say the least. You have a blessed and beautiful Sunday too, Mimi. 🙂
That is probably too true. Free living in that jail but I think I would rather be poor. Well done Sandee. Sandee, you and Zane have a really good day.
I'd rather be poor too. I spend 25 years living inside a jail. I had the keys though. 🙂
Funny, but sadly it is probably true.
It is true for many. It's their way of life. We all have choices. 🙂
He should rob a bank and go back to finish his MBA.
Many do get their education inside, but many just waste their life going in and out of that revolving door. 🙂
Ironically true situation.
Have a great day!
It sure is, my friend. 🙂
Perhaps we all should thank governor Moonbeam for releasing all those convicts and making life so miserable for them.
No, the people that are miserable with those releases are the victims. California is a joke of a state. 🙂
Yikes! Did not see that coming! Hope you and Zane are having a lovely weekend
We're having a lovely anniversary weekend. Love you. Big hug to you and Russell and lots of scritches for Miss Lucy. 🙂
Obviously, he hadn't received his EBT card yet.
I'm not sure about that. They have a way of getting their handouts very quickly. 🙂
Thats silly but more like the truth lol well all day yesterday I thought it was sunday goofy me
More like the truth indeed. I've seen many of these folks over the years. A wasted life for the most part.
It's okay if you thought it was Sunday yesterday. We're retired and it can be any day we want it to be. 🙂
Pretty sure he's luckier now than he was last week. 😉
Some don't think that at all, Rosey. They become institutionalized and love living within those gloomy walls. 🙂
That would do it.
And it does it to more than we know, Odie. 🙂
We can all agree that this is too true to be an actual joke.
We can all agree on that, but I didn't see this coming. I love those kinds of stories/jokes. 🙂
I remember one inmate at the Jail where I worked,he said and I Quote "I know why I am back here and where I will be going back to when it is all said and done" he was a lifer back for a trial on a different case. 🙁
Yep, there are a lot of those. We saw many during the years we worked. It's all they know. They took what they think is the easy way. 🙂
No wonder a lot of the paroles go back in. It must be easier than the real world.
For many it is easier. They get to like the institution and then they don't know what to do when they are on their own. 🙂
Yeah, I paid for it all.
Me too, Timothy, me too. 🙂
Uhm…sad? Haha. That's a twist I wasn't expecting though.
I wasn't either, but there it was. 🙂
He'll probably go back.
No doubt about that, Binky. 🙂
Hi Sandee, that just about says it all and you can't help but laugh (in a crazed, hysterical manner).
xx
Yep, there is a lot of this going on right here in crazy California. 🙂
